hi all - we just got back.
dh and I bought a mattress
we went grocery shopping for monthly fill ups
bought birthday/engagement/new home cards
we both got a flu shot.
donations done
cleaners picked up
hardware store done

just a quick hi- I hope to be back soon to say hi individually.

Twelve of us met for lunch at DFriends home. I enjoyed every moment of it. The food was good too.

DGS25 called stressed out about his new job and getting direct deposit of his paycheck straightened out. His rent is overdue. So I made a quick trip to the city and took him cash to get him out of the bind. DGS25 will pay me back as soon as his paycheck hits his bank account.

While in the city I went by one store to shop for boots. I didn't find any boots that fit like a glove so decided to wait. I'm super picky about only wearing shoes/boots that feel incredible. I did bring home a metal chicken and a metal red bird to put in the garden. I also picked up hamburgers for the kids to have for supper tonight.

It doesn't seem like I have accomplished much today. Somedays are like that.

Dh and I went to a store on the way home that I had a large gift card for. I saw absolutely nothing that I wanted. We also stopped at a local restaurant on the way home. It was expensive, trendy and not that good, with rotten service. It looked like the staff were walking around over the entire restaurant and not having their own sections, plus all of them were at the cash register area repeatedly without actually doing anything other than making that area a lot more crowded than it needed to be. I had a friend raving about how great it was a while ago, but dh and I won't go back.

When we did get home, I went and laid down. When I woke up I could hear dh doing dishes. By the time I got out to the kitchen, he was almost done other than loading the dishwasher. We had leftovers for supper and there is a large pot and a large casserole dish soaking.

Neighbors are getting a new lawn workers have equipment on both sides of the street.
