waving again - I need to get my body off the chair.
I need to get the timer and get moving to the put away instead of putting it off.
d dee I am praying your dh does have to worry about the things that need doing. praying he starts feeling better. praying for his worry to lift as more and more friends come to help. Praying his dizziness lifts. it's so hard to be dizzy and so frustrating.
I am praying for you as well - that he starts feeling better so that your worry can lift as well.

We have gray skies and only 54 degrees now. Our highs for a few days have been in the 70s.
I got my hair cut and it always looks so pretty when she does it. But I don't take the time, mostly. I went on and voted early too while I was out. It is so efficient and I'm glad I didn't leave it to the last minute when there's often a line. Waved to the gal with a sign for a candidate I support - she was the only one out there with a sign. As a reward I treated myself to a donut and iced latte.
I should start some laundry and head upstairs. Should pin a note to my shirt sleeve to remind me to reboot it, tho. Otherwise I'll find it tonight still wet. Dh is out again tonight.

Dh just called to let me know our weekend trip to Birmingham to see friends is off - the dh has COVID. We might go to ATL for the day on Saturday; I know he will want to be out of the house. Laundry is going.

(((Dee)))) I'm glad you were able to get a much-needed good sleep. Thinking of you and DH as you juggle many challenges, medical appt and travel plans over the next few days. I find myself wondering if you have an at home covid test handy that you could take to rule out your sore throat is c19. If it is then you could get started on the meds to make it easier.
Homeschool is done. The ELA assignment was a huge challenge for DS14 today. I printed the online lesson so we could mark it up, and that made it easier for him to understand it.
I assembled several days of my final mini-meal of the day. I'm a chip-o-holic because of the crunch factor. I have found that eating dry cheerios gives me the same crunch factor. I enjoy eating one crunchy cheerio at a time which gives me the same action of eating a large amount of food. I pair it with a mozzarella cheese stick which also takes forever to eat if you break apart the strings of cheese. ANYway, I find myself wanting this mini meal as my last food of the day (bedtime snack) so I prep'ed several days of them. Now it will be easy to just grab one. TMI - 1/2 cup of cheerios and 1 stick of mozzarella cheese = 106 calories and 8g protein.
We have bright sunshine today so I'm going to soak up some sun while baby stepping my way through removing tomato and pepper plants. It makes many trips to remove one plant because they are so huge. I cut the plants into sections to gather and carry off an armload at a time. I am not attempting to harvest all the tomatoes & peppers as I take the plants apart. It will take me days (weeks?) to get these plants removed from the raised beds. I wish there were some way I could capture how big they are. Many of the plants are 6' wide and 10' tall. One of the tomato plants had to be an overachiever and it is so big that it is a sprawling jungle that I can't attempt to measure. Best guess is 10' wide and 16' tall.

LadyM, that's some wonderful vegetable garden you have. I used to be able to grow a very nice garden, but haven't figured out how to do it down here. The bugs are too much here.
We are the slowest fence installers. We've done a few more sections, then we came in because the heat gets to DH. We don't get going early because I'm not good getting up that early. Last evening I was researching our ballot and kept researching till I had to stop to go to bed as it was too late. There's a lot to do and I'm only one person. I brought the ballot back here to do more research and now DH is ready to go back outside, so that is done for the day. sigh....
We work so slow. DH one step at a time up a ladder. Walking along slowly because he is wobbly on his feet now. And he can't get his arms up high to do the high stuff. I have to help with all of it and I could do more but I'm not real strong. We just keep doing what we can little by little until we're just too bushed to continue. We got about 4 sections put together so far today.
Guess I'll work on the ballot this evening.
At least struggling to do this has DH saying he guesses his work days are over. Unless someone wants to do the work and just wants to use his tools and ideas, etc. then he can help a bit...still hasn't given that part up.... (Dee) I sure understand what you two are going through.

Yes, LadyM, I do have several Covid tests here. Guess I probably should take one.
DS-R and dh are back from taking the recycled metals in. Dh is dozing in the chair. He's still very dizzy. So glad this procedure is taking place tomorrow and we don't have to wait days and weeks (or is so often the case with Kathryn -months.)
Just put up another week of dh's meds. Just one more to go. I'm packaging each week separately because his one med will still be up in the air and I need to check that weekly. Plus the heart med he's taking will be in once a day for that week. Still need to find out if he'll be staying on it.
Need to figure out all dh's medical bills for this year and then talk with our insurance broker about what's the best plan for him or for us. Figure I'll do that maybe Monday. I'll be alone at least half the day. The boys will still be on their way and dd will be working.

Dd called and we talked. She's still on the outs with her friend here and is going to use some of her vacation time to go to Rome at Thanksgiving. I think it will be good for her and she's figuring she won't be using a week of vacation in April to go to this dfriends wedding. I think dd is the second of the two maid of honors to back out.
Back to work...

hello again - having lunch
and wanted to say hi
hello d dee praying you don't have covid.
((your sweet dh))
glad you got sleep
hello d harmony I can imagine that gardening in a new area like Florida would be a challenge.I think it's Epic gardening that lives and gardens in Florida.
you should be proud that you are putting the fence in yourselves. I know It is something that would be a challenge for us. My dh still has the thought he can do a lot of outside work even though he dislikes it. He imagines if he has this tool, equipment etc. that he would do the work. He isn't ready to see that he can't do these things anymore.
I know dd older would love to live in Florida and if both our girls live there then we would probably have to move (I love cold weather and struggle with hot weather so it would be interesting).
hi d lady yay on home school being done! Your ds sounds like a visual learner as well as a tactile learner.
I love grape nuts for crunch factor in my yogurt.
yay on the sunshine.
I love hearing about your garden. our veg garden is cleaned out and ready for next year. (unless weeds are going to be mean to me

)
hi d twins praying your d friend's covid disappears fast and he doesn't feel too bad.
your hair cut looks beautiful!!! yay on voting.
hi d Nancy! glad you got the rain you needed
I am glad you feel better with your mood from yesterday! wonderful
have a good day
hi d Kathryn yay on getting mini chores done from zone 6

so wonderful that your dd is going to Rome instead d twins. how fun.
There has to be a reason if 2 bridesmaids backed off. That's highly unusual.
