Rick, my dh, has had many a transfusion. It's so hard! praying the transfusion puts his blood cell count where it should be!!!

And yes I finally found a good man who celebrates the person that I am. Never tries to control and hardly eve raises his voice at me. Loves my son and supports me with what ever I choose to do. They really are out there.

I can just see you now swing that grocery bag with all your goodies in it.

I have moved today for sure and I am tired. And feel a little like a ping pong ball in and out of the house, but it's just I'm not used to it. Body work, then back home and upstairs for a few, then back out to work out. While out in that direction I went on to the cemetery where my parents and cousin J's dh is are buried, and picked up the wreaths that we put there at Christmas. Meant to get a Duncan Donuts latte on the way home, but forgot and went the other way. Ddog was walked a lap by me before I went to body work, then three laps just now. Dh came home to eat lunch out of the refrigerator and took her a lap before he went back to work, while I was getting ready to go for workout.

My workout was excellent. He had me do a lot of different machines, none unfamiliar or scary and weights that I was comfortable with. Probably didn't break a sweat but I did walking the dog just now. I might be a little sore but it's not going to be uncomfortable. And I like being sore in a good way so I know I've worked.

I bet I sleep better tonight. I'm almost too tired to go back upstairs right now. I have the door open to the screened porch - almost sixty degrees out, so I may hang out for awhile.

bw2, any new reports on your dh? How are you feeling? You sound well... And waiting for Dee to report as well.

Elizabeth -- that was a great story -- but I hope your foot isn't injured too badly!

So glad HRH had a good report from the eye doctor -- now if we can only get good news from Mr. Dee & Mr. Blessed! (((HUGS))) and prayers for you both, Dee & Blessed!

Another busy day for LadyM, looks like, but I know you'll be checking off your tasks like a pro, as usual!

Thanks for the cheery start and dose of motivation, Twins -- I haven't taken much motivation to heart yet, LOL -- but it's always good to have a challenge!

I got up at 7:00 a.m. to take dmom to the new gastroenterologist. Did not actually see him, but saw his nurse practitioner, and she seemed nice. Made appt for colonoscopy and endoscopy for dmom in the later part of February.
Dmom says she is supposed to follow up with the surgeon at the other hospital, to have a light run down her throat (?) -- I know that is what they said, but I don't know what it is called or why it would be necessary in addition to tests the gastro doctor will do -- but at any rate, I am not making that appt. If she wants to go back over there, she can take care of it. I'll drive her, but I am NOT pushing for any further trips to that hospital.

So -- up at 7:00 is "sleeping in" for some of y'all, but as y'all know, I am pretty much unaware that there are two 7:00s in the day. So I did come home and take a long nap.
* After long talk with dh re: the rental house -- he initiated the conversation, and I told him ds will want to buy that house if we sell it. DH said, he can HAVE it. He can have it tomorrow if he won't raise the rent on these people. "I told them I wasn't going to raise their rent and I'm not. But I can't put a roof on it for that." So -- we may end up having a hard conversation with them about the limits to keeping that rent like it is -- but at least dh is going to be fine with handing over the management of it to ds, eventually.
AND he said MAYBE when we have some more savings come due next fall, and I start getting my SS, we should be able to take care of some of the stuff around here. Probably waiting too long, but at least I have some hope now, LOL.
Family doctor has called twice -- once to tell me to tell dmom to quit taking potassium; hers is too high and she should re-check in two weeks.
Second time (which took TWO calls, nurse confused herself on the first one, called back to clarify) to tell dh to quit taking Lisinopril because HIS potassium is too high and he should re-check in one week. Said his heart doctor had called and asked them to "address this."
Called dmom to relay that message. I don't know why the doctor's office called me. She must have not answered when they called her.

Now. The more immediate concerns, which I just couldn't face yesterday, plus a couple more...

[/] laundry, (3 loads done, 2 to go tomorrow)

[ ] take down Christmas,
[x] slice a HUGE ham, ate what we could for supper, saved some, taking some to ds and dmom, disposed of the rest— whew! Don’t want to look a gift ham in the mouth but this is a BIG ham. Hard to slice, and lots of fat.

I had lunch napped.
Then walked ddog.
Did some crocheting it uses my sore arm thought it might help.
Brought up the laundry.

Someone needs to do the floors but I am taking it a bit easy today.

Zoom class is cancelled today I am a bit relieved.
Two Bible studies in one day, and three in a week a bit much.
I am glad the one is done at the end of the month.
I knew this would be pushing it when I started sigh.

I have had dinner and did the dishes.

Dh and I went out for cheeseburgers last night. Tonight we had salmon casserole with shells as the pasta and a few green peas thrown in for colour and making sure we had a veggie. It was really good.

Dh did the banking today and I sat in the truck. I did go into the grocery store with him because dh felt that we really needed eggs.

I spent most of the day reading.

Exhausting day. Little progress on the password project except to add the app to my phone, tablet and computer (Windows has apps these days, as opposed to decades ago.) I'm trying to add a fingerprint sign in option in order to make it quicker to sign in, particularly on my phone.

I had to sign in at least 15 times today on my phone. It is 24 letters, numbers and symbols long. I can type it out fastish on a keyboard. It is painful on the phone.

I woke up at 5 (only 6 hours after going to bed and I had been up at least once through the night) and realized I should heat the car before I left at 6:20. I opened the car's app on my phone and it wanted me to sign in to the app. I had not signed out and we had not changed any of the passwords. Sigh...

Almost an hour later, I signed into dh's account and that gave me control over the heater but no 'phone key' so I had to use my keycard to run the car today. It works but is a pain.

Picked up dgs1.75 on time, had a wonderful day with him, had a 20 minute nap, got half the weekly kitchen chores done and half the L/R dusted while he was here and booked a phone Dr. appt to get my meds renewed (on the day I take the last pill!)

Dgs is sick and so was extra, extra, cuddly. He also didn't eat much and didn't touch his milk during his nap. I think he couldn't suck it from the sippy cup due to congestions because he eventually drank half of it through a straw. Dh and I took turns happily cuddling with him. It was lovely.

Since dgs didn't nap long, I took him to his mom to save her the 45 minutes and picked up specialty lightbulbs from IKEA. Then I sat in the parking lot there and spent 45 minutes on the phone with dh trying to get my phone to sign into the car to be used as a phone key. I eventually gave up on my account and used the car's email to do it. Dh's is signed in fine so I don't know why I have to use the car's email address and account instead of mine but so be it.

I came home after that and sent a quick email and then dh and I watched the last two episodes of Kaleidoscope.

I talked for an hour on the phone with my childhood best friend. We won't get together until at least next month but when she has a late blood clinic and is driving home, we'll talk like we did tonight. It helps her make the time pass on the long drives (today's was 2 hours.)

I'll head to bed soon. I did not change my top, wash my face or take a Vitamin C after dgs left which is what I usually do. I just hope my gravely voice is due to tiredness. I will take extra vitamins before bed and try to do better tomorrow. He's back then.

In the meantime, as we were getting dinner ready, dh said, "I miss dgs." He honestly is disappointed that dgs didn't sleep over tonight. Originally I was babysitting for an hour at the dentist office (or Walmart) while ds had a dental appointment. So staying overnight was never on the radar. Now I'm picking him up and bringing him here for his lunch and snack. This makes more sense for keeping him on his routine (the appointment is over his lunch and nap time.)

In answer to Harmony's question, there was a generator/foot encounter, but not the full 98 pounds of it. I wouldn't worry about it except that I have such an extensive history with breaking foot bones without knowing it.

Trustees meeting is done, had to tell them I will not help rip carpet on the scheduled day, two days post-surgery. I found a tote bag to use instead of a plastic one for a purse. LOL is drying, I need PANTS! I've made a list for tomorrow.

Workout is complete. Next up guitar, then cats, then shower. Suppose I ought to eat something too and make food for tomorrow's lunch. I will likely work late because the document is due Thursday morning

ETA: I think I sorted out my shore excursions over lunch. It is possible I missed one. (I try to have one for every time slot).
