Still on the first page?
I've been down the rabbit hole today! And I got so cold with the damp weather I napped with the dog nice and cozy. I've had a good time.

We made it to the 2nd page!
I'm back home for a few minutes. I picked up DD11 from academic team practice and will be leaving soon for church. After eating together, I will be in the nursery with the littles during the worship service.
DS14 has requested to attend concert in a few weeks. I approved that and it is paid. DD11 could go but she does not enjoy going to LOUD crowded events. She did it one time and I suspect she will never willingly put herself in that environment again.

Dd42 and her youngest came over, with her carrying him over her shoulder because he had no shoes. It was relatively warm out, but he's being silly. She was bringing a check to repay me for mistakenly paying her house insurance. We didn't realize they wouldn't send the bills to anyone but me, so I thought I was paying my own.
HRH gave her her Valentines' Day present from him - a heart box of candy.
She got to see me wear one of my new tops as we were going out to an appt. She was complimentary. Grandson not-so-much. He correctly said it was too light-colored and I didn't look as nice as in colorful tops. But it's the exact same style/size as a dark one that works well so I bought it, on sale at 60 percent off - a percentage which covers a multitude of sins to me! He's observant, to be a little kid hanging off his mother's shoulder.
I had a prescription to pick up and Walgreens had been giving me the run around about it. Also offering no opportunity to talk to a human. Machine kept giving a message that it was "in progress" and to call back. Sorry, I'm used to CVS and hearing a human voice, so I was already irritated. We went by the window and the human says they couldn't fill it, that the phone machine had been wrong (for days) in saying it had ever been in progress. I am really disappointed in them. It never dawned on me that I wouldn't have gotten a call from a responsible pharmacist if anything was going wrong - I had called 3 times and been reassured, so I waited. By that time, the dr's office who prescribed it was gone for the day. I'm now depending upon their after-hours answering service to contact them in the a.m. and have it sent somewhere else.
Wish I'd never agreed with insurance guy to go over to a drug plan affiliated with Walgreens when CVS was fine, just a little higher. CVS probably calls a little too often, but you do get your information, and also people answer the phone and explain.
I worked in the garden beds through the afternoon, carrying off spent stems, mostly, and leaving/spreading the tree leaves that fell.
Oh-so-sorry to see redbuds budding here. A lady I chatted with said cherry trees in her yard had budded and would surely be frosted/frozen back soon.

I really wish we could grow a Redbud tree, even though they can be big huge trees. We saw them up northerly from us and asked someone what they were. I checked, no I guess we're too hot for them. So pretty though. I lost a peach tree one year in PA. Budded out and then got frozen. Actually killed the whole tree. Very disappointing.
Dentist appointment with DH is done. Got all the bad news. They treated him with kid gloves, showing him all around the place before sitting down and chatting with the Dentist before his exam. Then they called me back to sit and talk about what he might want to do next. I had told the gal making the appointment that he needed stuff written down or he'd forget. I guess they feared the worst with him and had me along to intervene if necessary. I never went to the dentist with him before. He used to handle it all himself. I actually only went with him up there because he didn't know where the office is and the best way to get there. But since I was there, when we looked at xrays together to see what was next, he let me figure it out.
Together we talked them into giving him an appointment to pull his 2 broken off teeth at the same visit. I guess people don't usually do that. They looked surprised he wanted to get them both done together. Get it all over with, less trips, that's what he thinks. At least he liked this new guy.
We stopped at the store on the way home. So those were our adventures today.

Harriet: Am I right in thinking you are in the middle of your daily appointments? Seeing you post every day is making me happy. I have a resident here with the same chore so I try when I can to pop by the lobby each day when he's leaving to wish him well.
The day went. I'm on edge. Storm tomorrow but not until afternoon.
Our trip to the Seaway to pick up the car seat and have a fish and chips dinner was partially ruined by my doctor phone call happening 20 minutes late. We left immediately after and arrived at the Seaway 10 minutes after the store closed at 6.
Fish and chips were excellent, but it bummed me out that the 'stars aligning' moment of the car seat only available there, and ready for pickup on the day fish and chips were on the monthly meal plan, AND it was a beautiful day for a drive... turning into one of the stars being a missile to blow up my schedule. It is a 2.5 hour round trip and now I have to cram it in before Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow is out (weather and babysitting) and so is Sunday (two meetings) so now I have to either go Friday or Saturday and it will be only to get the car seat, not combine with a fun outing. Dh offered to go on his own but I have to inspect the seat and make sure it works in the car. A third 2.5 hour drive to return it is not acceptable. I might try and call the store and see if they'll hold it until Tuesday.
I did get my president's report written for the Sunday residents' association meeting, so that's done. It is also extremely long (actually a 10 minute sermon length if I talk quickly.) It has been 3 years so there's a fair bit to talk about and a lot of people to thank. I'm sending the report out tomorrow, along with the agenda, and nominations list, and will just highlight a couple of things when it is time for me to talk.
I'm excited about the meeting. That's a good thing.
My worship committee meeting went well. I was tasked with one item and I got that done while waiting for the phone call from the gynecologist. She'll put me on a different hormone cream that is milder since this one is giving me the feeling my period is coming (achy, and general discomfort) so I have trouble sleeping the 2 days a week I use it. Otherwise, I'm happy with the results.
