It will be time for my insurance annual check-up also, this month, I think. I could do it at the drug store, but I might go to the family doctor and tell him I want a complete blood test just to rule out anything unusual.
And this may just pass.
I know part of the reason I need a nap in the afternoon is because of the way we sleep around here. It's like we're shift-workers. We watch tv till sometimes 3:00 a.m. Then we get up around 11:00 a.m. That's eight hours, but there's a LOT of sunlight in our bedroom in the morning, and that has to disrupt our sleep. Separate bedrooms/bedtimes is just not going to work. I mean, I could go to bed whenever I wanted, but Sheldon just can't sleep alone. So, there you go.
I listen to Dr. Laura (XM radio psychologist) a lot and today she was saying, "Sometimes, the best thing you can do is just LET GO of something you are never going to have." Well, that sounds great, but HOW do you let go??? HOW do you just put something out of your mind? I may go to MO with this.
Anyway.
Today I am s2s, but no make-up. Also didn't complete my Bible reading this morning.
Right now, I am having to help dh get his breakfast out and then his meds, a couple of days a week, when he gets them all out but transfers them from one side of the kitchen to the other... and then today I had to look up his lab report online because we got an email saying it was available. This completely throws me off my preferred routine, which would have me in the shower before I ate breakfast.
I'll do my make-up in just a little while, because we are going to celebrate dbil's birthday tonight. We're going to his girlfriend's house. She is so nice. I always look forward to seeing her, but her house always makes me wish I could come home and redecorate.
Then when dh takes his shower, I'll have to dry his shower for him because he can't stand and bend long enough to do that anymore.
I tried to call my dmom but the line was busy earlier.
Oh -- and the weather here -- same, Twins, only we were at "41, feels like 33" the last time I checked. Brrrr...
Mystery -- won't it be COLD for a campout? I guess they are Boy Scouts; they are prepared... but... brrrr...
Good to see Nancy is all prepared for cold weather.
So glad you rescused the rabbits, LadyM! BTW -- this sounds like an excellent mindset:
I think perhaps I should lower my expectations for myself, actually. I mean, I WANT to do all that all of you do every day, but as y'all have pointed out before, we each have different situations and different families. What is do-able for ME, with Sheldon 24/7 and the dgrands most of every weekend, plus some extra time, may be different than what is doable for someone else. I can't measure my success based on someone else's to-do list. When deep cleaning started to feel like work, then I stopped doing it.
You are staying so busy, Rose! I admire the way you've made your new community "home"!
I went to the post office, but that is it for accomplishments today. Talked to ds. We'll pick him and the dgrands up around 5:15; ddil is working. DGD will spend the night with us.
Enjoy your Valentine's dinner, Cathy!
Thinking of Harriet, -- and also blessed & Dee, who I imagine are busy with their dhusbands. Saying a prayer that all is going well there. Glad to see Mr. Twins is doing well.
