missing dd younger and her dog. dd older cried a lot last night missing her sister/and the dog as well as feeling overwhelmed that there aren't extra hands to help with dh.
Worked on the big pile of cardboard that has been sitting in the garage
pulled the garbage together and finally pulled in the cans.
I don't know why we have has so much garbage!
blowed out the water in the garage.
spoke to new neighbor. The hard part is she is very nice to me but the dash food people accidentally went to her house 3 times with our stuff. She screamed at the young girl who came to her house - with our delivery- the other day. it was horrible. I will be friendly but anyone who treats others so badly makes me take a step back.
my dd older apologized to the young delivery girl. The behavior took the girl and my dd back a bit.
dh smells like he has an infection. He has a pulmonary dr. appointment tomorrow. thank goodness.

DD11 - It is February 27th already?
Me - It is.
DD11 - February has gone by fast!
Me - It is the shortest month of the year.
DD11 - It is only short at the end of the month.
She is quite right. There is no excuse for any of us to be shocked!

Making good housework progress.
Was dressed shortly after 9. Dh's bandage came off today and all is well. It is healing nicely and there's no sign it bled after the new dressing was put on just before he left the hospital. The first time it was checked in recovery, it immediately flooded with blood so he thought it might not stop bleeding at all. But the nurse was right, she said she'd come back and check it later and when she did, it was fine.
I'm not working my usual housework pattern but it is working for me.
I stripped the bed and had the sheets in the washer before my tea. After my tea, I got dressed, then remade the bed and put out fresh towels. I put the sheets in the dryer, the towels in the washer, and then went to watered the plants, my normal next Monday step.
At this point the day started to go strangely. I stopped part way through watering to put up a new support for the plant I'm training to cover the transom over the patio door. Then went back to the watering, then stopped in the living room to put the book sale books away (not done yet, BTW) stopping to repair one, then repaired my night guard case, then cleaned the drain in the bathroom sink, realized I was still watering plants, and finally ended up back in the kitchen to get things out so I could wash the floor. But first I folded the sheets and put them away, gathered up the third load of laundry, started the washer with the second load (which I had forgotten to start ages before!) and finally.....
I got the kitchen floor vacuumed, scrubbed with a scrubby on the end of a pole, and rinsed with my regular mop, stopping halfway through to prep my breakfast and leave that in the dining room to eat when the floors were done.
Breakfast is now consumed, the office is vacuumed and dusted, the mop buckets put away, and the kitchen things back in place. The towels went into the dryer at some point, I just couldn't tell you when. The third load just finished in the water so flipping the laundry will be my next task.
Then the bedroom dusting and vacuuming, usually done right after watering the plants when I'm following my regular routine.

Baby stepping my way through the day. I have finished the tasks assigned to the first 4 hours of the day. Continuing to monitor DS14 homeschool assignments.
Posting in case anyone else is interested in a good deal on
2021 MS officefor $30ish (instead of $350ish). This is a license for use on one PC (or mac). My IT cousin told me about this deal and over the past couple of decades of advice, he has never led me wrong. I purchased it today and Microsoft verified the new license code without a problem. I'm still sticking with Office 365 because of school and homeschool requirements but for my personal use I prefer to use the single use license. They have capabilities that 365 doesn't offer (especially in the Onenote software).
DS14 is still very keyed up about last night and talking nonstop as he relives the stressful moments. I am waiting for time to pass so he can calm down and get a different perspective of the events and can discuss how things could have been done and responded to differently. It isn't just one or two things but there were lots of factors that were in play to get him into that situation. This will definitely be a topic of discussion at his next counselor appointment.

Lunch done, hair done, nails done…vacuuming up next. Sweetie needed me to help with tax paper work and it’s done.
I talked with my ddil and I offered her my help if she wanted to take my grands to to the community pool. We agreed to do that Wednesday afternoon. I am going to take some time this afternoon and hopefully tomorrow to sit outside for a bit. Otherwise even with sunscreen I could burn. Already have some tan on my arms and a bit on my legs. My face, neck and chest get treated with zinc sunscreen every morning. I do t wear a hat while doing errands unless I know I’ll be out in the sun for a while. Pool day will definitely will be a pool day.
Harmony… my sliding glass doors and outside fans are still on..no a/c yet today! Sorry for y’all who are still shivering with cold or putting up with rain. We could use some rain around here.

Harmony and Cathy: Interesting about dreams. Harmony, like you I very seldom remember dreams. But during the pandemic, I suddenly was able to recall dreams all the time. That thought came to mind when Harmony mentioned not remembering dreams and then I realized, I haven't noted any dreams for a long time now. Another sign that the mental stress of the pandemic is abating.
Bedroom wing is finished and I also cleaned the humidifier. It hasn't been working as well so I hope that it is not dying already. The reviews are excellent from new owners but there are a lot of reviews saying it only last 3 months or so. I'm coming up on 3 months now. I've had to raise the goal to 50% RH to make the 40% I actually want.
The living room and dining room are the last spaces awaiting weekly house blessing. The laundry is all done. I had hoped to be done by now but when I looked at the papers all over everywhere in here, I stopped and took and break and haven't got moving again.

Kathryn the storm just started between Vineland and Beamsville. Snow is blowing sideways because it's very windy here.
I'm making spaghetti and some frozen meatballs in sauce for supper. Dh is having a cappuccino and I'm having a hot chocolate with the rest of the frothy milk going into my hot chocolate. Yum!
