I am going through my day one hour at a time. I have completed all the tasks assigned to the first 7 hours of my day.
RR - Thank you for sharing information about dementia. It is a big problem for many without an obvious way of dealing with it.
I made smoked sausage and potatoes for a family meal. I am having lentils.

I put dgs down for a nap without lunch because he refused to put his bib on, indicating he didn't want to eat. He was all cuddly so I put him down with his milk. I ate my yogurt and he started to cry. I checked on him and was so unhappy I got him up. He just wanted to be miserable.
I put on Toy Story (apparently a favourite) but he had a meltdown when it got to the darker point of the story. I just put him down again and set a timer to let him cry it out but he's stopped. I'm closing my eyes now too (I held him during the movie but had my eyes closed to help with the extreme exhaustion.)

(((Kathryn))) It is SOOO hard to care for a little one when you are exhausted yourself. Hang in there.
And (((Rose & Sweetie)))... I do admire you both so much for facing this head-on and taking action, as much as is possible, to treat symptoms and slow progress, and find support. It is really surprising that there is not more available to you, like you said, with an area with so many older people.
I am NOT making good progress at all.
DS called when I was in the doctor's office, so I called him back and I think we talked for over 90 minutes...

That was a 5-way conversation, LOL -- him & me, then dh and ddil joined in on speaker phone, and finally we said a few words to dgd! She is skipping school today -- had a dentist appt this morning, and then a doctor's appt this afternoon, so ddil said it was no use in checking in and checking out again. Her rash is still pretty bad, and ddil doesn't think it IS hand/foot/mouth disease.
My check-up was fine; doctor thinks I have a nail fungus causing these irregular ridges across the nail on my ring finger, left hand. He gave me a rx for it. I told him I seemed to be out of breath more often than I wanted to be, but I figured the 50 extra pounds I'm carrying around has something to do with that. He just laughed. Said my heart and lungs sounded fine. My bp was a little high according to the nurse (150 over something) but the doctor didn't mention it. She checked my oxygen also (I think) with one of those finger meters, and she didn't mention anything concerning with that.
Of course, they'll get my cholesterol and glucose numbers from labwork -- but I think that is all they check.
I need to go to the drug store and while there, I have to drop off a UPS package. Returning a sweatshirt for the 2nd time. I cannot tell any difference in any of the sizes! I'm just giving up on that one. Sigh.

Now dh and I are both sick. He hasn't stopped blowing his nose since lunch time. He's had a Buckley's daytime and now he's having a hot cup of tea with honey. He has also been very grumpy/short with me and then apologizing, lather... rinse... repeat.
Sigh.

Cathy, hope your illness is short lived for you both.
I have set up some of the spreadsheets for this year. Never had this much trouble before. Program kept saying it wasn't responding. Finally got it done and I've printed out first 2 months of the year. I have a couple more to do but they are short one page ones. I'll tackle them tomorrow, I need a break from all this.
Talked with DGS on the phone. He thinks he is the excel wizard and he probably is... but he thinks per my intel sticker on the front of my tower that I'm running an old chip and that might be the problem. Well, as long as it's still working I'm good. It's an old doctored up computer here.

No time to cuop.
I need to contact the hospital but have to stay up until 7:45 because of shift change briefings. I had meant to call before 6:45 but it took longer to get dgs to bed than I anticipated. He's in bed 75 minutes early but exhausted.
I'm beyond exhausted and frustrated.
I'm getting sicker due to lack of sleep. If I'm sick I can't visit dh. I'm heart broken.
Dgs slept in my arms for 3 hours today but during that time I couldn't nap. I was trying to get him down again in my arms and my sister called.
Please note: I sent out a note last night saying please do not contact me directly, I'm exhausted, I'm sick, and if I'm sick I can't see dh. And yet I had one appointment today (the bed is set up now), dd and dgd were here (and useless for getting me any sleep because dgs screamed whenever I went out of sight, and when I suggested we drive over to the hospital and I'd visit dh for a few minutes and dd could move the car to a mall a 1/2 mile away, and then pick me up, she decided she was too tired to drive.)
My sister called. The front door phone and the business phone had 4 unsolicited calls. And multiple FB Messenger and text messages. Some important, some just chatting. So I had to stop and look at my phone each and every time.
I'm going to go brush my teeth and get ready for bed so I can be in bed at 8 after the phone call.
I'm going to shut down my computer (not suspend because it comes up out of that for skype and Messenger calls.)
I'm going into full Do Not Disturb. I'll tell the hospital to call the house phone and I'll put a handset that rings in our bedroom before I turn off the light.
So I have 30 minutes to get ready for bed and clean up the kitchen from dinner prep.
