RR, you definitely impress me with the way you're handling all this with Sweetie. Know better than to think it's easy/peasey 'cause I know for sure it is not. Sending blessings your way.

I did another round in the shed we have perfect weather for that today yea for progress!
Sorted paint stuff for the house paint rollers etc. and found a larger container so I can get them mostly together.
My diner was tasty.
I am more active and reduced my insulin for spring/summer at least for today.

Three of my Brussel sprout and broccoli plants were missing in the raised beds. I thought I had them protected from cutworm and critters but the evidence shows that they found a way to get to the tender seedlings.

I decided to purchase replacement cauliflower and Brussel sprout plants. It might be a futile effort but I'm willing to take that gamble. While in town getting the replacement plants, I also picked up another rabbit cage. It has been 30 days since I accidently put the male & female rabbits together. We could have baby rabbits at any moment. I went through our favorite Chinese drive-through and brought 4 meals home.

We have some hard rain, lightning with pea size hail. I got completely soaked when I went into the rain because I wanted to mark where I need to divert the water in the area of the garden that I'm currently building. If it weren't for the lightning, I would have been happy to stay in the rain and play building moats and dams. Childhood memories.....

Tonight's supper will be turkey thighs, sweet potatoes (cut in chunks) green beans and mashed turnip. I might make stovetopp dressing. Undecided on the dressing.

It's a gorgeous day here. Sunny and plus 10 Celcius. It's windy, but it's almost warm out. Ditches are full of melted snow.

Septic company is coming tomorrow morning. Dh bought a new sump pump this morning. The one he bought last week burned out.

I'm back home for the second time. Got new tires in the allotted time. Brake pads worn to 6mm, they earned a "caution" but aren't ready for replacement yet. I initially said ok to that but then googled when they needed replacement, and I'm good for now. Don't live on a mountain anymore. It is a nice place to wait - light filled area, desks with cubbies and outlets at one end - perhaps future expansion area for sales staff - lots of smaller tables, chairs, separate TV areas (one for kids).

I got myself a small hamburger out, and came by home to see ddog and get my flip flops, then got a pedicure. So that's two things off my list today.

Going to give myself a small rest on the bed...

And I didn't get this posted but I did take a satisfying nap. I'm so tired and I just don't feel great. I have a continuing headache...

I've been out working in the garage. My aim is to have it useable by the time I leave here to go north. Pretty sure if there's a dent in it that DD will also get the bug. Definitely not dsonil. Can hardly move in there right now. His Mom had many folding rollable shelves that they brought to their garage a couple of years ago. I actually have 3 that I use in the office closet (1) and (2) in the office itself. They work very well. I'm putting labels on different units as to "Holiday", "Donations", "Recycle", "House stuff", "Travel", and so on. Sure there's other subjects I'll find as we go. At least I feel like I'm accomplishing something.

I did find a nicely padded stool out there that I'm sure dh can use in the shop. We had tried to pad a wooden stool out there and it's makeshift at best. Sure noone even knows this one was in the garage. I'll try to finish carrying it out there shortly. Think dh will be pleased with it. EDITING: Yes, he was very pleased and it works so much better than the older one. It's a little lower -perfect height!

d dee thank you for all the positive thoughts to all of us helping our dh's/loved ones - you as well!

I am not sure how I am feeling re: dh's care. I am worried about his future.
I think it's slowing me down physically and mentally. I am used to having a spark in me/in my day and I am finding myself lost in the day. I think my physical health has taken a hit from not moving around. I am not sad but unfocused. I usually have goals but I don't right now.

Tomorrow I am going to ask dd older if she could stay with dh while I get a blood test and go look at pots at either the two garden stores.

hello everyone! thinking of all of you!

I'm wondering how things are going at Kathryn's.

(Blessed)
(Dee) Enjoy your organized garage. How big is this garage? Does anybody get their car in there? The shelves sound nice. I feel so much better after the work I've done in my garage. It's not completed, and not really great but much better than it was. I'm trying to stay on top of it and not let it get stuffed full of things.

I had to help DH out in the shop. He had to bring a section of scaffolding and planking down off the upper brackets and that is high. Only way for him to do it is climb up those shelves to the top. I think it's terribly dangerous, especially with his abilities and strength now. I don't like it. I have no control over anything he does. I was in the truck receiving the scaffolding as he let them down and I put them in the truck. Then he pulled the bigger truck in and got planks down off another high wall and I stacked them off. He worked off the top of that truck which is not too bad but he had to go up a tall ladder to get up on there. Again I told him I was done with all this and I'd only help if he wouldn't do any more jobs like this. He said he couldn't guarantee that.

He was on the phone trying to arrange help. The one he hoped to get didn't want to do this work.

I went to our leader's class this morning in the next town. Figured out why I never could find this place. The road they use for an address is kind of a loop and if one goes in from the one end it actually dead ends and I must find a way back onto the road by using another. This time I took the other end of the road back out to see how that way goes. It is easier to get there from this end of the road. So I will try it next time if I need to. Most of the signs are down and missing since the storm. I just need to remember to turn after the bank with no sign either, right across the street from the pancake restaurant. Maybe I need to make a note somewhere so I don't forget. They were all very nice down there today, introduced me etc. and I was a bit embarrassed. They make a big deal out of the gals who go to help out in the children's classes. They've put me in with the preschoolers and the teacher has said to wear old clothes because they will be painting.

Laundry here. 1 LOL hanging up. It's cooler and breezy. Used pins on the rack so they don't blow all over.

The storm passed us over with lots of bluster but no damage. I wish our weather people could regulate their drama to match reality. They lose credibility when they are over dramatic. I find it sad that I have learned to trust our pizza making friend weather predictions more than the highly educated & trained meteorologist.

DD11 made better than Red Lobster Cheesy biscuits. She did it all by herself and is now walking tall about her cooking accomplishment.

next up -
** get new rabbit cage set up and ready for use. Then move rabbits.
** Put the eight 4" pots of plants bought this morning on a tray to water from the bottom.
** Bible study, devotional and fingernails tasks so I can mark hour #3 of the day complete.
