I discovered last night that taking a "non-drowsy" allergy pill at 5 p.m. was a huge mistake. I couldn't get any sleep until just after 3:30 a.m. I slept until 9:30ish and immediately got dressed and went to knitting.

Dh had some cough syrup last night and I haven't heard any coughing at all since then. It's so delightfully quiet in here.

No dishes to be done here today. We are having leftovers tonight.

There is clean laundry in the dryer. Floors can wait another day.

Currently 14C (around 60F), sunny with high winds here. Loving the temperature and the sunshine.

So sorry you got that reaction from the allergy meds, Cathy!

Harmony, I'm not motivated today either. Partly that I don't know what to do first.

Kathryn, you sound energetic but I'm glad you're still treating yourself to a nap. With broken up sleep, a refreshing nap goes a long way.

Also good to see Dove coming through.

I'm not sure where to start next. I still need to walk the dog around the circle a time or two, I think the rain is tapering off but as long as she's content on the porch I hate to disturb here. I think I'll go upstairs and watch those two webinars. I'll take the pledge and some cleaning clothes up there and maybe dust and clean guest br and make up the bed.

Homeschool is done. Now I can get started on other things that I want to do.

I made an appt at the dealership to get Suburban A/C fixed tomorrow. The a/c was working last year but when I turned it on this year it just blows hot air. It is supposed to be 91F today, so a working A/C is high on the priority list.

I have planted a Better Boy tomato into bed #5. I have selected 2 pepper plants to transplant next.

My lunch was pinto beans and pulled pork. I have planned & prepared my next mini meal for 3pm. It will be a quick & easy cup of FF Fairlife milk with a squirt of drink enhancer. I like the macros of the FF milk but not the taste, so the drink enhancer makes it taste good (IMHO) without affecting the macros.

Unfortunately, Cathy, the drowsy kind of allergy med has the same effect on me. Keeps me wide awake way past the time I should be asleep. I was getting a pretty good nights sleep but dh called me at 7:49am and I was sound asleep. Wanted to know if he had to take a whole or half metolazone. He's only been taking a whole forever first thing in the morning on Mon, Wed, Fri. Oh well. I did stay in bed for a while and managed to get a good amount overall.

Been busy ever since I got up this morning. Went to get a few groceries at P ublix and got home about 2:45.

My dearest friend and "My boss at the antique co-op" called me fairly early this morning. Needed to tell me that her dh passed away yesterday. She and I have been going through so much of the same things and I know where she's at right now. They've been our close friends for a very long time. Wish I was up there. Made me feel special when she said I was the only one she's called. Their dks were all there and I know that has helped.

Still watching the webinar, very dense with info. I've stopped it and restarted several times to try out what is being demonstrated.

(((Dee & DFriend)))) I'm sorry for your loss.

DH has been gone for over 8 hours and is leaving the city now. He should be home in a couple hours (taking DSisIL home and getting her settled).

It is time for me to pick up DD11 from school. *POOF*

Oh, (((Dee))), I'm sorry about your dfriend's dh.
Glad to see Mr. Dee is safely back "home," and I hope you'll be able to get up there soon yourself!

I am NOT ready, set, OR going this morning today. :( DH is asleep right now, and we have both slept almost all day, except for time it took to eat, around 11:00 a.m., and time it took to get rent money from our renter, who came by around noon. Otherwise, I have talked to dmom twice and the chiropractor's office once (to cancel dh's appt) and dmom's GI doctor's office once.
DH and I are both still fighting this terrible cough, but I think I am recovering some -- coughing is not the frantic, makes you head hurt type anymore, and I was able to sleep without taking Nyquil or anything else last night. OTOH, I have absolutely zero energy, and I think I could sleep 24 hours a day. I also have very little appetite, which is a good thing, but which also contributes to the lack of energy, I guess.

Dmom has an appt for an endoscopy Wednesday morning at 10:30... and it's about 55 minutes away, according to MapQuest. She called to tell me we could reschedule if I wanted to, but I told her we'd go ahead and get it over with. Then she had me call the place to get the address, and when I did, I found out she had another appointment with the doctor, on May 8, which is about the same distance away.
And that's on a ballgame day for dgd, so I'm going to have to change that appointment for her, so that's another couple calls...

What a day. I was out watering plants when DSisiL came by to have DH take her to pick up some aluminum they've been waiting for for a long time. It is long pieces of something, I didn't get into what all this is about. DH took his walker with him but got into the truck to do the driving. He just uses the bad leg for the gas and the good leg for the brake. I don't know how he's able to push the accelerator, but somehow he does. I guess DSisil doesn't have an open truck any more. They've been gone a long time and I see in the driveway another truck with a very long trailer.

She started telling me about her son wanting to do contracting work and immediately I told her no, don't be getting DH involved in this stuff, and she said no he'd take his own test... but I know how DH thinks and he'll try to get involved some way...who knows what will come of this... and she's all hepped up about the whole thing yahoo! And then she said something about using some of the scaffolding we have... and I said yes, we want to sell that stuff. I don't mind lending for a bit...but that's the most $ we have tied up is all our scaffolding. Plus it's on a rack high up in the shop and a bear to get down. They're out there now doing who knows what. Why can't all this stuff just go away?

So I did a big PUPA in the kitchen etc. and tackled the problem sitting on the counter. Had to call DH's doctor AGAIN about his appointments. I had all his cards lined up and 2 calendars trying to figure stuff out. Medicare pays for 2 visits a year. This Dr. tries to schedule 4 times a year. And he messes up the lab requests too which are also only 2 x a year. Managed to change the office visit and I called and scheduled his labs for a week before this.

He gets one test that's only 1X a year or we have a big bill to pay. I finally made a chart to make tracking this a bit easier. Other Drs. offices we go to get this stuff all straight and don't leave it to us to figure out. Have I said how much I dislike this Dr.?

Big mess of papers and calendars now all cleaned up.

I guess it's almost dinner time and I'm sure glad I have leftovers to make.

I did bring in that table to paint it was just warmer inside and more comfortable for me.
I put it on the drop cloth and it slides easily.
First coat is on and drying, I did a bit of touch up.
Walked the dog on the out of the way spot in a valley that gets less wind that helped.
Got my steps in before three today yea!
I had lunch and got the dishes done and put away.
Found the paint for the next color mixed it up and glad to have that ready to go.
