Goodness,
Dee... (((HUGS)))... sooo much you have on your mind right now. I am praying for Mr. Dee's doctor's visit, for good direction from his doctor up there, and for YOU and your travel plans and for you to have peace of mind.
Good for you,
Kathryn, on being able to follow your PLANNED activities a little better today!

(I'm not as structured as you, but I am doing better today, as well!) Praying for good results for Ken as well.
Nancy, I have NOT gotten to my quiet time yet, and the day IS slipping away pretty quickly... need to get in there and do that before anything else.
* Just found out that we will have an extra night of Nana & Granddaddy duty -- ddil was asked to work tonight, and offered a big incentive pay if she did. She asked if we could keep dgrands tonight and get them to school tomorrow, and of course we said we could. DS will be leaving around 4:30 this afternoon, returning late Sunday night. We had already planned that dh would take dgs to his baseball practice & I would attend dgd's softball game, so except for bath/bedtime and morning drop off, this doesn't change our plans much at all. Tomorrow, I'll pick them up from school and we'll be taking them each to their games again, which was already on our PODA...

and then Saturday, again -- three games, two different places, but we'll be able to all go together. THEN we will "divide and conquer" -- taking dgd to other grandparents, and we will keep dgs. After church Sunday, they'll both be over here until I drop them off at school Monday morning.
Of course, weather could change all the ballgames, but so far, looks like in pretty good shape -- no more than 40% chance of rain at any game time.
I'm NOT complaining about all this going back and forth and keeping dgrands -- I honestly wouldn't have it any other way, and I'm so glad they are here close by, and they both seem to love it here at our house -- but YES,
Harmony -- this is sooo true:
This is my happy place to come where friends are. People that do not cause me all the stress I have here at home.
Lately, my stress has been because of dmom. I also seem to be sooo much more thankful to come home to dh, where it is quieter, and more orderly, and I am just very happy to be here at home with him.
I know I talk a lot, but dmom talks constantly, and it gets frustrating sometimes when her memory is causing problems... plus the disorder in her kitchen was really driving me nuts. That is better now, of course, and her house overall is always clean and neat. Her housekeeper comes tomorrow, and dmom said, "She will probably faint when she sees this kitchen table all cleaned off!"
Dmom IS trying to declutter, however. She doesn't want to leave dbro and me with such a mess, she says.
LadyM, what did you decide was the food culprit that caused you to feel less energetic today?
Dove -- I'm glad your cold symptoms are improving! My cough is FINALLY decreasing, I think. (Sunday in church will be the real test, because it is so much more noticeable there, in a quiet room where I'm so self-conscious about coughing. I think trying to suppress it makes it worse!)
Mystery -- (((HUGS))) for all the wait time on the phone... that can get so annoying, feeling like you have to be "on call."
Twins, thanks for the energizing start! I
am DOING more today than I have in recent days, anyway (although recent days have been incredibly busy, it has not been activity that I particularly wanted to do.)
Today, I got up as soon as the alarm went off & s2s.
DH and I went to the post office, bank, and filled up the Tahoe. Then we went to ds's house and got dmom's truck for me to drive when we have to be at separate ballparks. Our old truck runs, but I think dh is embarrassed to drive it to places like that -- the ac doesn't work, the paint is peeling, and it is definitely showing its age.

(1988 model.)
At the post office, I mailed dbro the package of stuff he had left at dmom's.
Before we left home, I started a load of laundry, and now the second load is ready to be put in the dryer.
I still need to finish make-up and do Bible reading, and finish getting laundry hung up to dry. I put my clothes in the dryer for about 10 minutes, then hang on hangers. DH's clothes, I just put straight from the washer to the wooden clothes rack or on hangers to wait for ironing. He either puts them away or puts them on the ironing board. (There is ALWAYS laundry hanging in our bedroom, from my closet door or on a cabinet beside the ironing board, but I figure no one sees it except us and the moisture from wet clothes is supposed to help with the humidity in the room, right?

In winter dh always complains about static electricity, so we run a humidifier at night all the time.)
DS just called and said dgs got a good report from dermatologist. He is still taking Duplixen shots, but he is doing sooo much better now. They'll be dropping off both dgrands in an hour or so.
I'm wondering, when Cathy and Kathryn say, "it is so hot" -- how hot is it? (Sounds like an old Johnny Carson episode.) How hot does it get up there? I guess there's no place in the world where it is 70 degrees 365 days a year... it either gets miserable hot in the summer or cold-cold in the winter, right?
