Lots for me to do today. I'm finishing breakfast, and then will finish kitchen and then head to grocery, UPS store, bank, possibly Michaels, and put gas in the car.

6 pints of pimento cheese spread made. From experience this will be disappear in the next 5-7 days. Everyone loves the homemade version vs the store bought. I like that I know what ingredients are in it AND it cost about 1/4 of the store-bought version.

The weather got wild for a couple hours in my area, but we didn't have any damage. A couple of local friends experienced the golf & baseball size hail that broke vehicle windows and did other damage. The tornadoes hit about 50 miles away from me. The weather people did tell us at the beginning of the day that if the cap broke it would get bad very quickly. Most of the time the storms can be tracked and watch if they are headed your way. But when the cap breaks the storms pop up out of nowhere and immediately become life threatening.

After my appt I want to stop by Sam's to get collagen. I noticed yesterday that it is $6.83 off if you buy it using Scan & Go. That is a 5% savings on top of being best price. I've already done the cost comparison in 6 different stores so I know this is the lowest price I can get. I do enjoy the process of gamifying price comparison and timing the sales.

Dove - Thank you for sharing your experience with food items that are difficult to find. I have noticed the same thing here with a few things. I have always bought half gallon jars of dill hamburger sliced pickles. Not anymore. The jars of sliced dill pickles have disappeared and replaced with chunks of dill pickles. The half gallon jars of sliced jalapeno peppers disappeared for several months too but now they are back in stock.

Okay then, 1 gift basket later: 9 apples, 2 grapefruit, 4 oranges, 3 pears, 6 bananas, 1 bag peanut M&M's, 1 bag regular M&M's, 1 box Jr mints, 2 packages twizzlers, 1 bag He rshey candy kisses, 1 bag Her shey candy bar miniatures, 1 big container large gum drops. 2 men from Dh's fire department brought it out for him. Believe me it was WAY TOO HEAVY FOR ME WHEN WE GOT BACK TO OUR RV!! I brought it in in stages. Put it on dh's rolling walker from the steps across the deck and then 3 umphs to get it up the steps and one more to get it to the counter. Guess they wanted to be sure he doesn't starve.

Dr. just called back and for whatever reason did not have on his chart that dh takes metolazone 3x a week. But he wants him to take it through next Tuesday. He'll be out of the office until then. So we will see what that does. I know all this is hard on the kidneys so praying for quick/good results so he can back off. I was really afraid he might put him in the hospital so I know he's glad to be staying out for now. He's now taking 3 of his lasix pills PLUS this metolazone every day for the next 6 days (including today). I will be keeping a good watch on him.

DS-A and DGS10 have left for a hockey tournament in Massachusetts. I told him yesterday that if no one can come out to check on us that I'll get dh in the car and we'll drive to one of dks, dgks to satisfy the "one-on-one requirement". Tomorrow DCampmanager is picking dh up about 5:30 to take him with her to the funeral home about 30 miles from here. Think I'll try to do any other shopping I need to do at W almart. I was going to order and may still. They used to have 'free shipping' for orders over $35 but as far as I can tell that's no longer the case. S am's also had free shipping for plus members. But when I tried to order the other day it was $8.95 per order. That's why we were mainly paying for the Sa m's plus.

Home again. I need to eat something so I can leave for my workout in an hour. Once I unloaded groceries, I filled the back of the car back up with corrugated to recycle. Too much for every other week recycling pick up, and some is too large.

And I forgot the check I was taking to the bank. Got there and looked down and didn't have it. Will try to do while I'm out later.

Whoops, gotta get dog in. Mowers here.

Dh's call with the doctor was pretty good. He's been cleared to drive, cardio exercise as much as he wants as long as it doesn't raise the heart rate further (and it may not), and lift up to 20lbs now. (So still can't pick up dgs2, but is getting closer...) The doc will try and move up the cardioversion by a couple of weeks and said if things get too bad to call in and they'll do the Trans esophageal echo cardiogram to confirm no blood clots in the heart, and then cardioversion on a rush basis. Otherwise, dh can skip the TEECG (which he hates) and just stick on the warfarin. Apparently the reason it is 8 weeks off is because you have to be on the warfarin for 8 weeks before they'll do it unless it is being rushed. He has to be on the warfarin anyway so I don't know what he'll decide but he has options.

My hair cut went well. The stylist is not chatty but I'm starting to appreciate that. I feel like I don't have a graceful way of communicating with her but so far it isn't a problem. Being blunt suits her just fine. And I appreciate just sitting there in thought, without having to be social. The cut is just fine and my brown (natural or henna'd) ends are further cut off so my 'going grey' is progressing quite well.

I got a load of laundry done before I left.

I've had breakfast since coming home and am now going to shut my eyes for 10 minutes, then prep for a zoom meeting.

So far, I am having a top-notch day! S2S and out of house by 10:00 am, computer is at the repair place, and I am treating myself to one of my favorite meals. Chicken Salad Chick.

It’s kinda regional but I know they are in your area, Twins. Not sure about other SHE states. I’m not even a big chicken salad fan, but I love this. I think they have 12 varieties, plus soup and sandwiches. I’m enjoying the turkey club sandwich with scoop of Fancy Nancy chicken salad on the side and fresh fruit. Plus strawberry lemonade. And butter cream cookie. Only drawback — they are kinda expensive. All this in a combo cost a little over $15.

Home from a disappointing trip. When I checked in at the infusion center, I was told they no longer give evenity treatment. I asked why they stopped, and the person said it wasn't cost effective for them. Huh? I called my family doctor's office and they have sent an order for the last evenity treatment to a different infusion center. I'm waiting for a call from them to set an appointment. I will go in the morning to the family doctor for blood work to confirm my calcium level is still good.

DGS25 called in full force drama mode. His flight was cancelled due to the weather which will result in him doing an all nighter at Kansas City airport. After we talked about it then he started calming down.

We talked to our trusted pharmacist about the doctor's recommendation that DH start using GCM. He gave us lots of useful information and explained it well. After we finished that conversation DH asked him about Narcan and if it would be something we should have on hand. I was surprised that DH asked this because we don't know anyone who uses opioids. The pharmacist said he has heard lots of stories where having Narcan saved someone's life. He said the FDA has approved it to be sold over the counter recently and it should be showing up on the shelves soon. Then he checked and said our insurance covers it completely if we wanted to get it now. DH wanted to do that, so we now have Narcan nasal spray. I hope we never have a need to use it.

Dee - that is strange. In the last 24 hours I have ordered from Sam's and WM with no shipping cost. I usually place an order 3-4 times a month from them.

Chicken salad chick hasn't been here that long, Lucylee, but it is in our area. I'd rather make it myself (when do I do that, realistically?) and avoid all the things they add to it - that's probably what makes it so good, tho. I have a recipe with grapes, some celery and chopped carrot, nuts and garbanzo beans and I use Duke's mayo - no sugar.

I am feeling achy after my workout today. I was doing a stretch - assisted by the trainer - and my back and neck spasmed up and still feel tender. Since my arms also felt pretty heavy, I decided to blow off taking recycling today. And it's hot - eighties - and I just wasn't up to it.

We have flies! The bulls are back. I do believe those two facts happening at the same time are related. The bulls were fat when they left two months ago but now, they aren't. They must have been diligent about doing their job. Now they will just idlily spend their time in the pasture next to us for the next 10 months.
