Re: GOOD MORNING SUNDAY!!!!
Happy Birthday RR!!
I was clueless what to cook today until I was reviewing a couple old journal post from this date and saw that I made Indian Tacos in 2017. That instantly sounded good. The fry bread only has 4 ingredients that are pantry staples. I had meat, cheese, beans and vegetables on hand so it was quick to gather those ingredients. I assembled the dough ingredients before leaving for church, so it took less than 30 minutes to have the food ready when we arrived home. The fry bread was simple to make and they turned out so good! Everyone rated it 10 out of 10. I'm feeling rather happy that I went from clueless to awesome meal. It doesn't always happen that way.
The gopher/mole and I continue with our negotiations. Every day I dig a wheelbarrow load of dirt out of his tunnel, then I fill it with water and wait for his next move. During the night the gopher/mole digs new tunnels, so the process is repeated. I am trying to encourage the gopher/mole to move away from the raised beds and live his best life in the bull pasture. This negotiation process is about the 10th plan I've tried. Everything else has failed and I don't have any ideas left to try. Hopefully, I won't need to dig the entire yard up. On the positive side....I am getting some great exercise and the dirt that I am digging from the yard is being used in the raised beds.

Re: GOOD MORNING SUNDAY!!!!
LM give the gopher mole juicy fruit gum they love it and it plugs em up and it the end of em.
I used to give em 1/2 stick at both entrances and did the trick.
I have put the sprinkler on to run when the sun is down more.
I have left overs planned for my next meal so I do not have to cook.
Dishes are waiting in the pan just a few they can wait till after my dinner.
It is a bit breezy out not too bad and makes it pleasant outside.

Re: GOOD MORNING SUNDAY!!!!
Just a quick check in to let KimmyAnn know — you are NOT alone!!!
Laziness, procrastination, “I’ve got all day syndrome” — ALL OF THE ABOVE are real problems and temptations for me.
The past week has been better, so I wanted to share what I’ve been doing.
My husband and I are both retired so we’re home together all day. we stay up late, we sleep in late, and then we go to the post office every morning to get a paper. I s2s first thing but then when we get home from the post office, my tendency is to sit down with the newspaper, have a snack, and then I’m down for the rest of the day it seems — I just Don’t want to do anything and then I feel just lazy and like a slug.
so this past week I have forced myself to have some sort of focus. when I come home I have to do something if it is five minutes at the washing machine five minutes dusting in the bedroom five minutes at least doing some thing and it has been a game changer . I have dusted and vacuumed my grandchildren’s bedroom (they don’t live with us, just where they sleep and keep toys; they are here every weekend. I organized and decluttered a lot of toys, pruned the trees some bushes that were blocking my driveway, which has been on my list forever, did most of my weekly home blessing — and I felt better and I’ve just got a lot done by focusing on one thing before I can sit down with the paper. Five minutes — but it doesn’t really have to be five minutes whatever it takes to do that one thing.
it’s like Dee’s quote “begun is half done” — that is definitely true! so just wanted to share that and maybe maybe that can help you cause I sure know where you’re coming from!
I’m on my way to church and staying for piano with grandson and I hope you all have a great Sunday.
LOL Above was done talk-text and I could barely understand it myself!!! Edited but left a lot of punctuation errors.

Re: GOOD MORNING SUNDAY!!!!
Happy Birthday, Ramblin' !!!
So, I missed blessed's sweet/smart yesterday's "Step By Step" topic BUT... this is the one it started playing in my head
Sandy Duncan, Jason Bateman, but previously Valerie Harper, titled "Valerie" and then "The Hogan Family" with Duncan
There was actually another sitcom titled Step by Step that had a cute theme song using the phrase, too, and it starred Suzanne Somers and Patrick Duffy. But the song never did stick into my brain as much.
My, what storms we have been having. A limb down on our driveway. Not too big a problem, but sheeh.
A little concerned that I may not have good enough drainage in a couple containers outdoors. I'll have to check further tomorrow.
Yesterday morning the exterminator came for annual visit. Broccoli sprouts photosynthesized.
Also, this weekend a seriously big push to the trash cans and recycling.
Prayer meeting was so nice. Dd24 was here and watched some.
Tomorrow, I'm the driver (next town) for HRH's more extensive dental work appt, for which "a half a valium" has been prescribed.

Re: GOOD MORNING SUNDAY!!!!
That talk-to-text is great Lucylee!
Of course, this week you don't have the computer to distract you so will you be able to keep that new routine once the computer is back?
Today went well. I prepped as I went along, i.e. the naptime bottle was prepped when I cleaned the overnight bottle, his lunch was written out and put on the counter, and I prepped my breakfast and put it in the fridge.
Dgs decided at 9 that we should leave for church instead of 9:30 and sat in his stroller waiting for us to take him out!
Once there I let him run and run. He's certainly social, running up to the front and then coming down the aisle greeting people who were sitting in the pews. He was babbling away in his own special language and smiling and being really cute. As it got closer to service starting, we went to the wiggly worshiper's corner and he played with the toys and when it started we went back to our pew (down the side aisle.)
There was a guest childrens' choir and they were wonderful. They started with a German sung prayer for peace that was quite quiet and the moment the piano started, dgs quieted right down and I rocked him while he watched with wide eyes. Then the opening hymn was "Jump for Joy" and we jumped and liked that. He was great until the childrens' story and then was too noisy (he was standing up in front of the whole congregation trying to tell them a story!) and so we started back early to our seat. Dh came and so he took him to the nursery and played with him until I came back down for the last 3 pieces of music. I had dh take a photo of him staring at the piano being played during the last piece.
After I went up to the kids in the choir and thanked them. I told them dgs doesn't talk but loves music and can say words when he's singing. I was excited that he had the chance to see children singing because I think one day he may want to join a choir because he has a lovely little singing voice and loves music.
We weren't home until 11:45 but he was being fed at 11:55 and in bed for his nap by 12: 20 and he slept for over 3 hours. His mom had to come to us to get him (normally, I try and take him to her) and stayed for another hour while he played.
I wasted his nap, except for a nap for myself, but then playing computer games, but I got two of the things I wanted to get done after he left actually done. I still needed to cook dinner so we ate a bit late. It was delicious, though, and there will be another meal of it in the future.
My music-friend called after dinner and chatted for 2 hours. Water was seeping in our living room window from the east rainstorm and I noted a new leak while on the phone with her. The wind gusts were so strong, the guest bedroom window blew fully open and the slammed the door shut. I had a hard time pushing against the wind to get the door open so I could go and properly latch the window (it was open because dgs had a major poop and the room, then whole apartment, smelled.)
I took the string of lights away from the window in the living room (they are outdoor lights but just in case) and once I did that I couldn't see anything in that dark corner so took down the single drapery panel and put the lights up hanging from those hooks. With illumination, I found yet another leak and note a section of the ceiling will be coming down at some point as it is soaked badly. Sigh....
I write yearly asking them to caulk the windows on the outside but these didn't get done properly and the amount of water is significant. Over 2 quarts from the primary leak in under 4 hours. It's great that I can trap as much water as I do, but I can't get up every 4 hours through the night to empty the baking dishes. At least I keep the primary one in place at all times because one can't anticipate what storms will be bring a strong enough east wind to cause the leak to start up. That's why I have lights there, to make the window sill/radiator more attractive and distract from the baking dish and the crumbled plaster.
I'm off to bed now. I have a Gyn Dr appointment tomorrow and all the things I didn't get done today plus my weekly house blessing.
