I have gotten past some of my emotional upset & crying jag had passed.
I am no longer staling on kit. duty sinks are clean and I have spiffed up some of the counters.
"Made" the dog treats with bread I got by mistake and cut with the bone shaped cutter toasted em.
Got a pic of em and ddog waiting on the deck!
Had lunch and cleaned up after that too.
Put some of that in containers to eat later.
Nice this afternoon but I am making myself continue with inside stuff.
Got the kitchen swept too.
Trying to decide where to put the tool I want to learn to use.
Put it in the shed.
Counters are not yelling at me now it is down to a whisper so that helps.

LadyM, sorry you have to deal with that again in your household. Hope he recovers quickly.

Let's see where we are now. I helped DH make a custom fitted washer out of aluminum to replace the steel one that rusted away on that little faucet. That was quite the job. He tried it a bit and it fits ok. But we are unable to get the RO system opened up to replace the filters in there. Somebody around here tightened them too tight the last time. I have both the cabinet doors off and they are easy to wash that way. I vacuumed the bottom of the sink cabinet, that washer left debris everywhere. There was a chirping under there and I was looking for a bug.....but DH's head was under there and it was his hearing aid! He reached up and turned it down.

So, miracles of all miracles, he called the man! No answer. Our plumber calls back from his vacation spot! He is coming to help 2 Mondays from now. Oh well, we have regular water and filtered from the refrigerator water thing and I've put bottled waters in the refrigerator. Our county water isn't so bad, but since we've used filtered water for so many years we're a little sensitive to chlorine. I can always tell if we eat out and get coffee whether or not they are using filtered water, I can taste the chlorine.

DH has called a couple places and has ordered another truck tire to use as a spare. He put the new tire he had for a spare on the truck to replace one that had a slice in it and very little tread. He's gone down there to leave his wheel for them to mount. Another problem getting fixed. And as he's going right past a take-out place he's stopping to bring us home unhealthy burgers and fries for dinner. I don't care. We'll survive.

Sometime soon he'll make some stucco mix to fix the 2 dings he made on the corner of the building...then I will have to find my white paint and repaint. The wall still looks good!

I don't think I can grow Petunias here. Too hot. I had a 4 o'clock plant sprout up in the planter. I thought they were all gone. However, it's underneath my lavender but I left it alone. I'd like to move it to the round flower garden if I thought it would survive. They can be invasive, but in the planter there's no way they could be. However, the lavender has taken over there. They smell so pretty.

Cathy, down in the Outdoor Spaces and Gardens forum, we've been chatting about petunias, and the Bubblegum Vista Supertunia is the one that has blown me away - still is, this year, which is the second I've grown it. The butterflies adore it - in theory they (and humans) can see all these from a "vista" far away, but they sure do seem to favor pink. I have not seen the color "Starry Night" but your "Purple Velvet" was sold at my nicest local nursery this spring and yes, I thought it was very pretty, lush color. I also grow "Bordeaux", which is burgundy light-to-dark blooms. And I now recognize a couple "Silverberry" (white/pink) were in with my others, a mistake as the nursery planted, I guess. Those two colors are not as spreading/large as Bubblegum, don't have the number of blooms, but still beautiful. Right now, the Bubblegum is shouting out at everyone who comes in my driveway, "Look! Look over here!", lol. They are working hard for me, doing advertising for the other plantings.

The young man came and we had take-out together with him and with dd24. I had to interrupt their smooching goodbye as he left, lol, because he forgot his water bottle. He and she both agreed, though, that he couldn't live without that - carries it all the time. He had taken dd to shop with him for his Dad's present.

Dd43 called and asked to come at 10:00 a.m., which sort of ends the possibility of going to actual church tomorrow. The congregation we watch online every week could maybe use in-person encouragement right now. They tried to continue with SBC for years after calling women but lost that prior to this moment. I will probably go on the assumption that their Father's Day service will have been very well planned in advance and lots of attendance already, and I'll just stay home with HRH and have company.
