Dinner is almost cooked. This was one with ingredients and steps. Not all were perfectly executed but the meat will absorb the juices while the potatoes and carrots catch up.

Not sure what my goal for today was but I didn't make it. I did get in a walk first thing after my tea (and before my shower.) I've also packed my toiletries except for toothpaste and toothbrush. Everything needed filling because we have traveled such a small amount, I used up my travel kit of stuff and washed out all the bottles.

My vitamins are also dispensed and packed and dh did his this morning too.

Getting ready for a new week.
I got long sleeves out of my shirt drawer.
Pulled summer things out and swapped them.
Deciding what I will use for nite clothes and during the day.
it is 98* so I can use summer items now.

Thinking how I can do the crock pot outside b/c its will not heat up the kitchen as much that way & not in the deck zone
with the crew putting up the deck rails and one more set of steps.

Happy I reclaimed the kitchen and did up the dishes and washed up my finds today.
Feeling good b/c I do not have to do snacks bev. for others today, I had some time to rest.

I feel like the stuffing got knocked out of me.

Church 2nd service. Stopped at store to get a few things on the list. Drain cleaner...I am working on the master bathroom shower drain. Gave it one treatment last evening but it needs another and my bottle is just about empty. Quart size zip lock bags. Shaving creme. There is always something running out around here.

I was so very tired I had to have a long nap. Seems to be a Sunday regular thing here. Tomorrow DH goes to the dentist. I suppose I'll go along.

Dh here has chiropractor appointment tomorrow, plus he is worried sick that doctor is going to call with some bad news tomorrow also. He had blood work Friday and got #s online — some up/some down… always makes him sooo nervous. IMHO, none of the #s are that much out of line with results from three months ago, nothing excessively out of “preferred” range. We will see tomorrow, I guess.

I repotted a dead plant. We'll see what happens next. It's a croton and I didn't water it when I first got it because I thought it was artificial (it was left at my door as a parting gift from a moving tenant.) When I looked at it in the corner of the window and saw all the leaves had dropped off, I realized my mistake, watered it, put it in another window and sprung into life. But it has been getting too little light and was stretching so I looked up what to do and ended up cutting it in three. The trunk was potted in one container, a side plant was split off from the roots of the trunk and planted and the top of the trunk was put in water to grow roots. It hasn't done so and is the dead bit. The trunk has several new leaves started on it, the side plant is doing well, so I planted the now stick, that was the top of the trunk and will see what happens.

I'll be away 9 days and my plants are trained to live on a 7 day watering cycle so we'll see happens to everything while I'm gone, especially the outdoor plants which are all in pots. They are all in double pots so I intend to full the outside pot with water so the roots can pull it up. Hopefully it will rain as well. I'm also putting them all down on the floor of the balcony (they are on stands) so the wind might not knock them over in a storm. They won't get as much sunlight down there either.

Off to bed now. Lights will be off at 10 when dh's alarm goes off for dh's night-time meds.
