No ta-das yet, but before bedtime, I will have ironed dh's clothes.
My day took a rough turn all around and I'm just aggravated right now.
-- Nothing super-serious -- dh turned (?) his ankle/knee/something, rushing to the door while I was out. It was the plumber who was coming to give me the bill for my dmom's rental house. DH is really really put out with this current method of doing business. Since I live closer to the rental house AND the plumber, and my name is on the checkbook also, dmom has the plumber stop by my house and give me the bill and I write the check whenever he does work. (Which is fairly often, because the renter refuses to use single-ply toilet tissue, so far as I can understand.) In theory, this should work out fine... BUT... plumber might come by early in the morning before we are out of bed... might come by like today, when dh is home alone. DH got tripped up on his too-long sweatpants and never made it to the door -- but he looked out in time to see who it was.
I don't know how to "fix" this problem. I mean, if I KNEW exactly when he was going to do the work, I could call him that afternoon and offer to come pay him immediately. But this last thing was done a couple weeks ago (I think!) and he has just now gotten around to trying to contact us for the bill.

DH just got extremely irritated, thinking every morning we were going to be awakened by him knocking on the door.
So -- saved this as a draft and am now coming back to say I guess I do have a ta-da...
DPC to the plumber, drove out to his house (only about three or four miles at most, and I was glad to get out of the house

)
DPC to college town to check on an order for dgrands
talked to dmom
talked to ds
WTG
blessed on deleting all those emails!!!

DH generally takes care of that around here, and occasionally he deletes something I wanted, but usually I'm thankful he does keep up with it.
OTOH, he does insist on keeping as "unread" anything he thinks he might want to look back at, and currently there are 1853 emails in our "new" mail. I should delete 4 of those because they popped up while I was sitting here, and they are just junk mail.
And boy... I could use a brownie about now too,
Nancy...
Twins, you were certainly off to a good start this morning! I hope the aches and pains go away soon.
(((
LadyM))) for the difficulty in getting dd to use some sort of organization tool. I think y'all have heard me say that ds & ddil "don't know how to use a calendar." I think they do better now, but for a long time, they seemed to rely a LOT on the reminder texts their doctors/etc would send out. That was fine, until they realized they had a conflict, with less than 24 hours to manage it.
I could not get by without my MULTIPLE calendars AND my planner.
(((
Mystery))) Hope the crown went on with no problems! I have to go for a cleaning next week, and I am always scared to death the dentist will find something that needs work. I didn't get x-rays last year, so I'll let them do them this year, and that always increases the chances he'll find a problem.
Berenstein Bears! I MUST order some new books for dgd's birthday... she loves the Berenstein Bears.
I can certainly relate to "Too much Yuntif," btw... last week just had me in a whirl... dmom in/out of hospital, dh's cousins visiting... my aunt's birthday party... dgrands here Friday & Saturday & part of Sunday... I was definitely ready for some quiet time by the time I took them home Sunday.
I hope you got to squeeze in the bookstore trip,
Cathy. I am reading more on my phone lately, with the e-library books, but I do love to read. I always feel pressured to finish the book in the time they allow (14 days) and I don't feel I read as fast as I used to, but I love to lose myself in a good book.
