So quiet here today!

There are days I'm just amazed at what I can do in my workout. And I came home really tired today. I've been lollygagging and have walked the dog. Dh is home for awhile between work and bowling.

That guy was here less than 10 minutes. Besides the fact that he finally showed up at 3 minutes to 6, which made dh angry. He hates people who get to appointments late, and he considered the guy was late. Everything the guy suggested, dh shot it down. He did it nicely though. When the guy said they should blow in 2 to 3 feet of insulation, dh told him we had insulation almost all the way up to the roof and that the inside wasn't accessible (even though it is) and how did they intend on getting it in. The guy tried to tell us to switch to a heat pump and dh told him we just got the water heater and boiler installed in July. After the guy left, dh said that maybe he should stop trying to get deals for rebates off the internet. I told him that we have had this conversation before. Lather, rinse, repeat. ...

Supper at new-to-us very nice, very expensive place, and now we’re waiting on the movie. Celebrating our anniversary which will be Thursday.

Couldn't find a set of keys and one thing led to another and I ended up cleaning out my purse, changing to a leather-look for winter. It does not have all the helpful pockets that my Vera one has but that one looks summer-y, so I'm glad I switched until spring. It's really the right time to do it, just don't like doing it by surprise.

Found all the paint cards for this house with the painter's notes conveniently on the particular ones we used. HRH put them in the holder on front of fridge, well labeled. He's considering a storage building and we would paint it the same exterior trim color.

I ate so early today with ds that I have pretty much blown my 8-hour window today, but I wouldn't change it.

Harriet: I cleaned out my small cross body purse yesterday morning, including remembering to refill my Advil container in it and putting my wallet back. I saw my clip on sunglasses in it when I put those things back. I sure was happy to know it was up to date and ready to go when I tossed it in my backpack to evacuate just 3 hours later. Like you, I didn't do it as a planned activity, I was just putting away my wallet when I remembered I should add the Advil.

Long day today and I'm off to bed now.

Successful but so much more to do. I have a meeting about the personnel stuff tomorrow in the afternoon and booked a car-share to get me there as dh has our car but then someone else said they'd pick me up.

Hello to anyone still up. I'm having quite the evening.

This morning was my semi-annual neurologist appointment. We had a nice chat about several things. Yes, brain fog after Covid is a thing, she hears it a lot. She said the thing to do is take a B complex supplement every day and a vitamin C. So, here's hoping. Several times during our conversation, the rest of my sentence went into thin air as I couldn't remember just what I was trying to say... and I'd say "see, there it is" and then the words / idea would come back. This is serious stuff here. If BOTH of us can't think straight we're in real trouble. I do feel like it is getting better, but she said it can take up to 6 months to totally recover. Yikes!

Watered the house plants this morning before I left and my little house plant and Sunny's we received Mother's Day when she was here...from her son J... hers is getting root bound though it looks better than mine which is looking scraggly and roots all gnarled together. So my first stop after the dr. was the nursery for a big pot of mums for the outside garden and a couple nice new pots to replant our suffering plants. These are nice, cream color with a bit of tan and grey stripes. I bought a new bag of potting soil that has nutrients in it for indoor plants. I hope they do ok when I get this done (tomorrow).

Made a big pan of stuffed peppers and roasted carrots. Takes an hour to get that together with the cleanup...which is why I don't make it often.

This evening got a frantic phone call about a questionnaire a business insurance company needed us to fill out... so I had 3 years of records all spread out in the office to answer this thing. I faxed it over to her for her last day before vacation. I had ignored this request because I didn't know who she was...turns out I finally did see the name of our old company, I guess they merged or something and had never explained... so that took all evening. I did tell her we wouldn't be renewing (which saves us $1495 anyway) because we're closing up the business. DH is still onboard with all that. It's a major miracle.

So, you see why I can't get rid of all the paperwork around here just yet.

Cathy, glad your kitty is going to be ok. Do you think she got in a fight with something outside?
So an outbuilding, Harriet? Sounds like a good idea to me.

Ok, gotta run, it's time to stretch out. I've been up a long while today. Oh, and it was 55° this morning and 75° mid afternoon. What a change! I got out my sweater for the first time this season.

Yes, you mentioned before Harmony, in Decluttered Home I think, that it sounded like we needed one. HRH and I both would like one but are indecisive. where? which? how big? etc. The only thing I'm absolutely positively sure of is blue, and that doesn't get it started, even. I wish we could snap our fingers and be done with it. HRH has looked at a bunch.

Kinda tired tonight so off to bed soon. I worked on the large bathroom quite a bit today, too.

We did make supper, but it was bits of this and that - he made one kind of potatoes and I made another.
