Just posted over there, thanks for giving us a heads up Lucylee.

I've wasted quite a bit of time, shouldn't say wasted because we picked out a new refrigerator and it will be delivered Saturday. But dh found it on sale at Lowes and dropped everything to measure ours and then go to Lowes with him. So this one has all the bells and whistles and I think will stick out into the kitchen two or three more inches. Our friends M and S just bought this one and they love it. I have felt, for a long time, that ours may be on its last legs.

Anyway, I'm just aggravated at the day trickling away from me in ways I didn't foresee.

I've eaten lunch (and more candy) and need to leave for workout in 50 minutes.

Thank you for the heads-up, lucylee! Prayers being said.

I have spent the last week with the crud. Not Covid; tested negative and had no fever, but I did have prodigious amounts of mucus (sorry if TMI). I seem to be relatively cough-free this morning, with only the least bit of a drippy nose. I'm grateful, as my back was hurting from all the coughing. Have I missed anything big?

DD has spent more than the last week creating her costume for today, which is mostly an elaborate head/mask. So she can portray a character almost no one will know (from a Minecraft YouTube series). She says that makes it all the more special when/if she does get recognized. She is planning to wear it to work. I told her to make sure she will have a safe place to keep the mask, since while she's hoping to greet the kids with the mask on, she will have to take it off to do any supervision. She says she's already thought of that.

Both my kids are planning to go out trick or treating this evening. They are certainly old enough to buy their own candy, but they still find fun in dressing up in costumes and running around in the dark. I suppose they would draw suspicion any other night. I think DC might not be going out -- they had a party at school for a dress-up opportunity -- except that they have a friend from school who has never been trick or treating before. (Never lived in a place conducive to it, though in the US.) Speaking of places not conducive to trick or treating, I am debating going out to get more candy; DH has gotten two large bags, but we get lots of kids whose parents have driven them to this neighborhood from nearby apartments. He thinks the cold this year (there is an outside chance of snow ) will result in a drop in numbers; I'm not so sure. Every year, we buy what we think is enough candy, and I can't remember a year when we haven't had to turn out our light before 8.

Twins, I commend you on your choice to replace the fridge before it dies. Although I don't think the Covid supply-chain problems that messed with us are still a thing.

Taking a break with Harmony on my mind.

THANK YOU for sharing the experiences and wisdom of dealing with depression. I consider it invaluable and am putting many of your ideas and suggestions into action with DD12.

I'm making steady progress on 3x5" cards laying out for today. Once they are accomplished then the card is removed from the bar. It is an additional atta-boy feeling I get from seeing the reduction of cards waiting for focus.

I selected new kitchen lights this morning and a ceiling fan/light for the area near the kitchen. Once the lights/fans arrive, I will hire electricians to replace them in 4 rooms of the house. I've been meaning to do this project forever but don't stick with it until decisions are made on all the different lights to be selected. Having a 3x5 card reminding me day after day provided the motivation I needed to finally get these lights/fans selected.

I need to try to compose myself and wash my face and smile for little ones in about another hour or two.

Sunny, you are an angel to remember us when you yourself are so concerned of course.

There are 2 kinds of homemade dimensional cupcakes now. Knobby-knee spiders and something peeking from under hats. Waiting in fridge and enough for every child I can think might come.

But I don't feel like making the Krispie Treats at this point. Another day with one of the grands, maybe.

HRH was wise to buy a bag of variety candy and that will do it, I think.

Thank goodness I got myself reset working out. I just feel like it's been one of those days when I've been buffeted by interruptions and things not going right. Before I left for workout, I wrote the one big HOA ck that needed to go for the construction work. Then found that didn't have receipt or amount for other check - wasn't attached when it was forwarded to me. And the printer is talking back to me about a cartridge that it wants replaced and it said the one I had wasn't the right one?

So home again. I mailed the other ck while out, the second one, for which I just got info for, I just printed and will drop off tomorrow.

I need to:
-give the dog meds for evening
-take chicken out of soup, shred, and add back in
-make cream sauce (butter, flour, milk, half/half) and add to thicken and turn soup into a creamy soup
-quart jar of soup for dfriend M and her dh
-walk the dog and deliver soup
-change out of workout clothes.

I was making the meatloaf and dh walked through the kitchen. He asked why I looked upset and, honestly, I lost it. I just stood there and sobbed. Told him about Dee dying and her husband dying and now Harmony having a stroke and how small this community is and I couldn't stop crying. I'm still crying.
