d rose thank you for sharing.
thinking of d norma

hi d harriet!

d Nancy yay on your work!

d mom lost her meds - I thought I would have to go over there but she found them on her bathroom counter in her room. They were in her back pack purse last night. I had her take her pills while I was on the phone. I will have the girls look at the cameras to make sure she did.

I heard her eating so I know she got something.

1 hour check in
put dishes in the dw and turned on :D - I still have more dishes
put away on the kitchen table. :D
I have to be careful not to feel overwhelmed and just keep working

I am considering changing my dinner menu - I might make d mom and I something else - and let dh and dd's use the roasted chicken. I will make dh regular boxed stuffing and we can all share the veggies. I just don't want to spend the time tonight cooking.

Next goals/hopes
1. wash the remaining dishes
2. clean the counter
3. clean the stove

hope: make the blueberry pie or blueberry scones (I have blueberries that need using)
make banana bread for freezer.

freeze raspberry sauce for Christmas

I called NO ONE rides shotgun
.
I had to make that same rule. Both of the kids now have their assigned seat. End of discussion. If it is just me and one kid, then they do sit in the front passenger seat.

Happy Birthday wishes to Mystery DH!

Looking at this stack of cards completed this morning is impressive to me because it is such a change. Because the decision is made about what I will do then it is MUCH easier and quicker to just do the task. Before the cards I spent too much mental energy evaluating the task instead of just doing it.

DS15 was ready to leave about 10 minutes early this morning. He was pacing the floor waiting for time to leave. I told him to use the time to get some of his cards done and he learned to use those pockets of time wisely. He was impressed by how much he got done in such a short amount of time. #LifeSkills

We had 3 out of the house events this morning -
** 7:30 DD12 to school
** 8:45 DH, DS15 and myself to the gym. It is fun to watch DS15 to learn, improve and become confident in gym workout. Having a personal trainer for him is well worth the money and time spent.
** 10:00 Tomas to the groomer
On the way back from gym I also went to the grocery store to purchase some items to cook for tomorrow's meal for approx. 125 people. I should have done an inventory of items at the church kitchen before I went to the grocery store. I'll do that this afternoon and hopefully won't have to make a second trip to the grocery store.

The rest of today out of the house events -
** 2:00 ish get Tomas from groomer (1 hour drive)
** 3:30 get DD12 from school
** 6:00 attend DS15 girlfriend basketball game (1 hour drive)

Home from workout. I was able to listen to the Zoom presentation in the car by sending it to my hearing aids. I don't think I have CarPlay enabled, it's beyond my tech abilities and frankly I don't care. When I got home I switched to the downstairs laptop while the dog went outside and I fixed lunch and ate. Then there was a break so I moved upstairs. Whew!

So now I'm listening and navigating the syllabus on one screen and webinar on the other.

I had a good workout as usual. I got there at the right time, but between the big clock downstairs now being changed, and going in at 11 instead of 2, I felt terribly confused this morning.

Hi again...

I went to Fabricland looking for foam chips. They don't have any and haven't had any in quite a while. Then I went into Walmart in the same parking lot. They didn't have foam chips, but they had thick rectangular pieces of foam, so I bought all 5 of them. I have been cutting the first slab into little bits. It's quite easy and almost relaxing. Someone at the Fabricland store suggested checking to see if there was a foam store in a nearby city between here and Toronto. When I got home I checked with Mrs. Google, and sure enough there are a couple of foam stores/suppliers within an hour's drive IF I wanted to go there.

We will be having turkey thighs in the oven along with potatoes and carrots also done in the oven after I par boil them.

Voted and wearing my pin.

The weather is great for the folks there. 66 degrees when I went and getting warmer, with sun. It was moved to the "new gym". First time there. Used to be in the "multi-purpose room" after it had been in the "old gym" for decades. Elementary school since my ddad started first grade.

Had a grocery order arriving after getting home, so we put all that away. Then I finally got some food into me! I think I was kinda low-blood-sugary.

Anyway, that trip out was the end of "appts" for me until Friday. Yesterday was full and tough.

I tried valiantly to post here while supervising dd43's younger boys' live lessons yesterday morning. But it was from my phone, and I lost it.

DangerBoy, oldest, has not shaved for several weeks, and in case you would like to know what he looks like without seeing a photo, just remember Maynard G. Krebs. He is the spitting image. :)

Next up
set the kitchen to rights
additional Desk Day
spif master bathroom
post in Arts, Crafts thread

Happy Day to Mystery Man!

A little bit of excitement here. DH dropped a pickup wheel off the concrete entry way to our driveway. That meant the pickup had 3 wheels on the ground and one wheel dangling in midair with that corner of the pickup resting on the frame and running board (step bar). Thankfully it was easily solved by using a wheeled jack to raise the pickup frame off the concrete and then the other 3 wheels were able to pull the pickup back until all 4 wheels were on solid surface. There is liquid dripping from the pickup now but hopefully it is just the normal a/c condensation.

Tomas is home and the groomer did a great job.

I had to google, Harriet, but I am lol. How can he possibly be old enough for whiskers?

My overwhelm/overload/whatever it is continues. I didn't realize that this webinar had homework, which they ask be uploaded on or before Saturday. I will not participate. There was a VA daylong webinar on Oct 28 which I knew I couldn't watch but wanted to - so I can watch those recordings now. And I signed up for the NGS AI courses, which are 1.5 hrs weekly for 4 weeks, and I haven't watched the first one of those yet.

I'm trying to figure out why I am feeling so pulled apart, and there's the time change, my inability to finish the Q revisions, and overload on webinars. The VA webinar was inexpensive so it should be the least of my worries, tho. And the refrigerator swapping business. Last night old refrigerator was picked up, but I still need to finish moving from garage refrigerator to new refrigerator. Dh did this - I would have thrown a lot more out - week old soup? weeks old tomato sauce? And he's been crazy micromanaging. And a lot of little things nagging at me or going wrong. My charger upstairs isn't charging my phone anymore. I can't find my two favorite pens. I keep one upstairs on my desk and one in my planner.

I had to step out of webinar for a break and took ddog around the block already.

If I were a toddler, I'd be put to bed already.

I had to search for images of Maynard G. Krebs too. DS15 has had facial hair for a couple years and eventually it became a full beard for the past several months. He has shaved it off several times and it comes back thicker. He prefers a full beard vs being clean shaven. When working outside in 100+ weather this summer I thought he might want to be cooler and shave. Nope. I am picking my teenage battles carefully and the length of DS15 hair and beard is not a battle I'm picking.

Thankfully it appears the pickup has survived the aut-oh midair moment. It has stopped dripping liquid and is driving okay.

Shrimp, Caribbean rice, and roasted vegetables are on the menu today.
