Dd25 and I first went to the nice nursery, and we bought 4 plants there. One for me at my house, the others herbs to plant among the flowers I gave her. Then she took me to a favorite Japanese place of hers, very tasty food.

At her house, we worked on her largest garden bed and got all the sun-tolerant flowers planted plus the herbs she had just bought. That was tiring work because this is a very sunny spot and it's a hot day. After lots of watering, I'm confident they can be safe and sound until the rains come in Tues morning. We did NOT plant any shade-loving ones and I've come home with all of them. She does have backyard shade but nowhere we could decide she wanted flowers. Our plan is to put these into baskets or an above-ground planter later.

Meanwhile, back at the house, dstepdil had brought cupcakes and HRH was already into them, lol. That was very sweet of her. I didn't think to let her know I wasn't going to be around today. She enjoyed hanging out with HRH a while anyway, and I called her later.

Even if you don't see the lights again, Mystery, you have done better than I have, so I'm proud of you! I missed it when my grandkids tell me they think they saw it, and since then evenings have been cloudy. That's nice there was a good crowd visiting at your dmother's residence for Mother's Day.
