WTG to HRH at the driving range...
and WTG to Lord & LadyM for enforcing difficult rules -- I guess with police revoking privileges, you really had no choice, but I'm guessing ds15 will find himself going to a lot less "fun" stuff, and a lot more "work" stuff (which I realize is fun for him, too.) Anyway, hopefully, a good lesson learned about trusting YOUR judgement re: "friends."
Hope y'all have a good day tomorrow and a safe trip, Twins.
Now... my 5x7... LOL. I don't think I got five "real tasks" done, but
PLEASE KEEP READING...
* went to dgs' Awards Day w/ds, ddil, ddil's mom & brother
* went to eat at one of those Japanese steakhouses where they cook in front of you, with ds, ddil, and dgs
* came home, took nap
* went to Walmart and helped dmom get rx which she thought she needed me for assistance with Good RX app (turned out they did it for her)
* was unable to help dmom with her locked phone to which she does not know password
* filled up car
* went to pick up dgd to spend the night
* came home, and immediately, before getting out of the car,
SAW A SNAKE ABOUT HEAD HIGH ON THE BRICK JUST BESIDE MY BACK STEPS!!!
-- Immediately called ds, who came over ASAP and killed snake. Y'all. I cannot remember how long it has been since the last time we saw a snake around here. Five weeks today that I have been alone, and one is right there at my back door???

It was kinda brown, spotted, and I was just sure it was a copperhead -- everyone says they are terrible right now because they love cicadas. However, ds sent a picture to his father-in-law, and fil thinks it is a non-venomous rat snake. Honestly, makes no difference to me; a snake is a snake, and if one is blocking my doorway, and I have to kill it, I'm going to probably be screaming. Or fainting.
Posted pic on FB, and a friend says, "looks like he's headed to your attic, you may want to check up there for rodents, etc..."
(I have NOT heard any mysterious sounds from the attic, so I am not really worried, except I do have that leak. I may call the roofer again next week.)
Sigh. SIGH.
Anger IS a stage of grief, right? I am just a wee bit angry...
dh has left
me to take care of snakes...
dh has left me
with no clue where my car & truck titles are...
dh has left me to take care of all the College Town trips
on my own...
and now I am about to cry again.
Anyway, after all that, dgd and I played a sort of stickball game in the hallway with a foam ball, played Clue, and played Scrabble.
We also went to McDonald's, the post office, and the bank.
I folded a load of towels (See what I did there? ONE small load.)
I watched Blue Bloods and read the paper.
I guess I did get five things done, but it still doesn't feel like I was very productive.
And of course, last night, I watched the series finale of Young Sheldon. Oh. My. Goodness.
I KNEW, of course, what it was going to be like... but y'all... with dgs the way he is, in so many ways a copy-cat of Sheldon... and dh a retired coach... It was tough. I needed a good cry. It was really a great way to end the series, if it has to end... and they are doing a spin-off with Georgie & Mandy... but it was tough.
Tonight of course was the last of Blue Bloods, but it will be back next season, apparently.
Anyway. I am not in a good place tonight.
