I was just talking to my aunt, LadyM. Her granddaughter is a lot like your ds. Gdaughter is 14 and made it known that she wanted a summer job/jobs. In the past week she has helped her uncle tear out the moisture barrier under his house, build some cabinets and mow the yard. She now has three houses she is cleaning weekly. She’s amazing to me.
So — I walked another 15+ minutes outdoors… prayed… cried… almost had a stomach episode (had to interrupt walk to come in and use the bathroom).
It is HOT here too, and very high humidity. After my walk, I just went straight to the shower. So now I am bathed, hair washed, and I’ve got a head start on tomorrow.

I'm at, but not settled at, the cottage.
Dgs did end up sleeping about 90 minutes. I got everything into the cart and the cart in the hall, emptied the garbage can and then woke him up. He was a bit cranky but awake enough that he could walk downstairs to the car.
I actually arrived 5 minutes early at the hospital! I didn't go through the house 'shutting' list and may regret that, or at least my neighbours will. Apparently the power is going to be shut off for a bit tomorrow while there is tree trimming. That will trigger my battery backup power supplies, which beep when the power is off. I hope it doesn't bother the neighbours too much.
The drive up went smoothly. The only setback was that the donut shop at the exact half way point was closed so I didn't get my strawberry lemonade (and a bathroom break.) I was planning on buying a BLT to have for my dinner but instead arrived here at 6. I unloaded the car, plugged it in, heated up a can of chili for dinner, replugged-in the car (it triggered the ground fault interrupt on the outlet after 30 minutes) and then ate dinner and watched a movie.
I'm listening to all the noisy birds right now, tree frogs (I think) and a bull frog. I'm pretty sure I'm alone on the property. There are 8 cottages on the property and only my car is here (and I see no lights on in any of the others.)
I see it is 10, so I better unpack quickly and then head to bed.

Most important Tuesday Ta-Da : Accompanied HRH to the rather nice/fancy men's store and he found the wedding clothes he needed. Not fun but as little trouble/time as possible. Now, in hindsight, I'm glad we didn't go to the mall.
There was a Chi potle's in the same area and he suggested I pop in and get something I'd like. But I convinced him to go in and try their type of assembly line with me. He liked the efficiency and the food-inspector in him approved of being able to see everything. We brought it home and ate here. Very healthy. Mine was too spicy, so I guess I need to remember I don't care for their particular Pico de Gallo.
More Ta-Das included kitty potty chores, mud-room clean and getting trash collected all around the house and out to the roadside before more rain came.
S2Sed this evening to sort of get out of dd's way as she navigates the upcoming days. Her matron of honor has arrived and tomorrow the two of them set up the Air B and B for all the wedding party. This after a final fitting of the wedding dress (MofH is going with her for that) and, unbelievably, an early morning of more work, after her boss absolutely positively promised there would NOT be any beyond today. Sigh.
The sleeve is 60 percent finished. I didn't get any chance to work on it today.
A few orders are expected to arrive tomorrow, but I believe we have everything accomplished for the reception and big day.
Weather forecast has inched the expected temp up some, but it's still the least hot day of the week and coolest evening before the big day. Still supposed to avoid rain, but now only by one day. A little breath-holding, but I think we're good.

Twins', your beach outings make me remember some vacations near the area - all pleasant memories.
