Re: Smooth and Satisfying Sunday

Got photos of the quilt posted in Arts, Crafts and Needlework thread. Looking at my quilt photo from the venue, against a February photo of where I was in working on the top then (but in my well-lit sewing room), I can see that the lighting in the venue's space was very low. Oh well, maybe the photographer will have gotten a shot, or maybe the couple will help me hold it up in the sunshine, or maybe it's just as pretty in low light, lol.
HRH and I keep thinking of mini-stories and snippets of conversation to tell each other. I'm so glad to hear he had a handshake and conversation with groom's father, and they teased each other about having to become kin or something silly like that. I do want us to have relationship, and neither of these gruff men are the type to start much of one. Sigh. In short video from dbil, I now see that behind me, dd and HRH had decided to hold hands walking the aisle, the way they used to do when she was little. I've never thought of it and will have to ask dd if she'd seen that done anywhere or just wanted to do it.
Thank so much for all the kind thoughts. We're a little sad, of course. Getting a handle on being the two of us again.
The couple said they were coming by here today (newlyweds making plans - ha!) because her car was left in our driveway. I wish she'd bring us some cake or other fun things - they really had so many. Neither of us got a bite of cake, with so many people coming to our table to chat. And I heard it was raspberry lemon. Also, there was cheesecake, which I don't really need but gee ... .. Certainly not trying to contact them today, though.
