We decided to go out for cheeseburgers to use up a gift card. I told dh the pork chops weren't fully defrosted. He had no problem with having burgers tonight.

Put a link to the Sisters, Oregon, outdoor quilt show '24 in video form in A, C, and N thread, for a very relaxing stroll viewing many quilts outside in pretty weather this past Saturday there.
Our day was sort of long, since there was a distant dr's visit in the middle of it, with some long waits. HRH bought us each a half-sandwich at a coffee shop in a building. We got minimal errands done, then back home quick, just ahead of a big storm.
I really needed a nap after a very social, traffic-and-high-rise day.
Nice chat this evening with dd44, who is planning her day trip tomorrow to pick up DangerBoy for his first visit home briefly this weekend. It bothers me a little that she's going alone, but I know she's very capable. Perhaps while she's gone, I'll be getting a start on cooking for the get-together.

We were out of eggs, turkey lunchmeat and hoagie bread plus low on many other staples. The teens had a couple hours lull so DH and I took this opportunity to go to Sam's. 36 items bought & $570 later were back home. I didn't want to immediately start cooking when I got home so I went through drive-through on the way home to pick up bacon cheeseburgers for the 4 teens that are at the house.
DS15 girlfriend is here helping him pick clothes to pack for camp next week. His girlfriend is a planner and likes to organize things. DS15 has many good qualities but being organized isn't one of them (yet?). I am enjoying watching them help each other.
DS15 has a friend here working with him on replacing the rear end in his pickup. DS15 did as much as he could but reached a point of not knowing how to proceed. The friend came to help. There is a possibility it is like the blind leading the blind. Teenagers with high confidence doesn't mean success in their untrained no experience efforts. I am keeping my opinion to myself except for preaching safety. I keep encouraging them to be safe. Think safety ALL THE TIME. Don't' assume vehicle in the air won't fall and squish you. The girlfriend is their designated person to watch and call 911 if it all goes wrong. *sigh* Hopefully this project will all work out okay.
DD13 selected another card to clean a segment of her bedroom. This card was another easy one. It was to clean the drawer in her desk that typically holds pencils. This drawer has -
** 3 sorting boxes
** 2 pencil bags
** hot glue sticks
** basket
** sticky notes
** envelopes
Everything stayed and nothing was decluttered.
DD13 is almost.....almost....maybe.....might be starting to enjoy this game to clean her bedroom. She groans when it is time to pull another card from the sack, but she is smiling about it too. Letting her be in control and having change happening slowly seems to be leading to her accepting it.
Time to exercise outside during Golden Hour. *POOF*

LM I dread having to organize and clean and go thought a room to despite doing it many times before.
I can relate to your DD 13 's feelings about that.
I did some carding and blending blue wool and started spinning on it.
I am happy with the results but did not do as much as I have the last three days.
It is smokey hot and more this week out door actives are curtailed,
we had unhealthy air for sensitive groups today for part of the air.
Makes me glad I no longer have a clothes line.
