Hi!

Just me, running through...

Dh invited 2 people over for a beer at 7 tonight. If it was 2 other guys, I wouldn't care. BUT it's a guy with his wife, who goes to knitting on Monday mornings with me. I haven't stopped from 4:30 until now. Yep... I was informed at 4:30ish. I'm spraying Febreeze everywhere. All garbage cans and litter boxes have been cleaned. Patio table got swept off (LOTS of dirt, dust and debris) and then windexed. Whew!

Bathroom got cleaned/windexed. Dh cleaned the toilet.

Supper, which is in the oven, will be "shake'n'bake" chicken leg quarters and a bunched of boiled baby potatoes are bubbling away on the stove.

Next up... turning on all the fans and a/c.

DS15 told me this morning that he was deep cleaning his bedroom and bathroom. I was surprised by that because he normally doesn't care what his room looks like. When I asked why he was cleaning he told me that his girlfriend was coming over and he didn't want her to see the normal state of his bedroom. I told DS15 to invite girlfriend over every day if that is what causes him to clean.

Calamine lotion for the win! Why oh WHY haven't' I been using it the past 8 days? I am getting more relief from this $3 calamine bottle (generic brand) than any of the prescription and OTC creams and sprays. Maybe it is a fluke and a onetime relief, but I am thrilled to experience it almost immediately after I applied it to the rash.

What isn't done so far will remain undone...

Bathroom floor got mopped. Table is clear in the kitchen. Back hall got swept. I spot mopped in the bedroom, living room and kitchen. We also ate dinner. All fans are going on full. I used Odoban in the mop water, and that always makes our tiny house smell so much better.

I'm glad the calamine lotion helped LadyM.

I'm going to sit and rest.

A Cold, negative for C-19, which HRH confirmed for me. 101.0 and 100.7 fever measurements on two thermometers. Now have taken aspirin and back to bed. He made a little toasted sandwich for my tummy.

Hurray, Cathy, that sounds like you can relax and enjoy now.

Hurray, LadyM, simple helpful pink.

LadyM….Benadryl will help with the itch too. What did the dr tell you that caused the rash??? My son had to clean his bedroom and bathroom every week if he wanted to go to the skating rink with his friends on the weekends. He had to vacuum and mop his floors.

We started this routine when he was in 6th grade and if it wasn’t done by Friday before he went out and past my inspection he had to stay home. I don’t think he ever missed. And then when his friends started spend the nights…. Some times I had 6 boys in my house… and they… all of them… left a mess, no one could come back the next week.

All the boys were gone by 11 in the morning. All towels had to be hung up, All pillows, blankets and pads had to be put neatly away and all dishes and drinks had to be either washed and put away or put I. The dishwasher, and I never had a problem. They were all great and worked as a team. I loved watching them while they worked.

Sooo glad you finally got some relief, LadyM!

We did a sort of stay-cation outing for the last Saturday before school starts back. DS and I took the dgrands to a historic railroad depot in next town, and the natural science museum there. They have both been before and asked a few weeks ago if we could go back. I had been, but ds had not. We all enjoyed it.
Ddil — sleeping between night shifts.

Feeling kinda “off” today, I think because this is the day we were supposed to be at the Grand Ole Opry for dh’s birthday trip.
It’s my late grandmother’s birthday also.
Tomorrow, our little church bluegrass band is going to our “sister” church, and of course, DH should be there… and last time I went to that church, he was with me.
I’m just feeling sad.
Also hurt feelings bc dcousin had her kids and her neighbor’s kids at her aunt’s pool, posting on fb, but they never include dgrands. Aunt/my first cousin TOLD me to “bring the grands any time” but of course I don’t want to invite myself.
