I did not cook the sweet potato in time it' is sprouting! So I'll leave it a bit longer then get some sprouts and grow em this winter! My tomato is blooming!
I napped.
Just noticed the tree on the neighbors side of the fence on the prop. line has a good sized dead branch close to both of our homes.
Ominous it's concerning. I'll have to talk to the house hold about that.

I am delighted with my soup but it's the first time I've used black beans and I like
the red or white ones better.

Air quality is better now yea! I watered a bit in the back beds.
There is a new fire in our county dang.
Kitchen sinks have been cleaned yea!

Enjoying more of cutting and gluing project this evening. The phone has never rung, so the pharmacy must not have the eyedrops readily available. Sigh.

Fires/smoke - hate to hear this is a worry and hope the air quality isn't so affected.

Nancy, I really like black beans in dishes with corn or potatoes that lean toward Mexican cooking. But I agree that in soups, others seem best. Still, full of goodness and fiber. I have some dry beans I need to use up in autumn meals - need to get into that cabinet and start making plans. I may even have some pink beans left. I want to finish those off and then buy some of those bags of multiple assorted beans for soup.

Do we really need goals in retirement?

Oh, so that was the thought - yes, that could be deep. I firmly believe the answer is "maybe". Sounds like these particular goals would be some that keep doors open for you, Twins', so perhaps become a little more certain. Maybe that's a question to apply to goals. Do we want that "door" to stay open for us, or, are we happy to save our memories and wave as it closes because we choose others.

Actually, we could have a goal of being more spontaneous, having more serendipity in our lives, be less goal oriented (smile).

And, when we let go of goals, guess what, we can change our minds and have a whole list of goals and resolutions next year. Or month, or week. Or tomorrow.

Compared to Sunday night, today was magical, I guess.
I’ve got to record my ta-das, maybe for future reference.
— walked away the pounds and did morning stretches before s2s
— took time for Bible study even though I was pushed for time
— talked to dmom
— visited with dfriend and offered sounding board for her church project
— went to drug store for rx refill
— went to dgs’ ballgame and to eat afterwards at a favorite local fast food place
— washed a load of towels
— folded and put away two loads of clothes that had been waiting for several days
— did allergy shots
— made arrangements with friend who wants to buy two of my football tickets for Saturday
— did bedtime routine including gratitude list
:)
