I put a load of in the washer
put a load of dishes on.

I had to laugh bc dd younger asked if there were towels. No one has brought towels down all week - I washed my own. When everyone is home, and also whom ever lives here, has to bring the towels to me or wash them, themselves.

Mom has had a 1-1/2 cups water so far and now is sound asleep in the chair with a book in her hand and walker Texas ranger on tv.
I am turning off the tv soon or she will sit there all day.

now for the put away activities through the kitchen. maybe put on my tip tappy shoes

all my peaches from the farmers market have brown rot - they look beautiful on the outside but yucky on the inside. I haven't seen this in a while. I should have asked them to cut one and pay for it. I gave mom half a cut apple, a small plum and half a banana I also had nice crackers and triple cream wild mushroom brie that she loved. I will have to make sure she keeps up with her water and food.

mom and I separated the yarn for a new to me needle point kit - I had bought it over 30 years ago and my d mom in law loved it so much that I gave it to my sis in law to do it for dear mom. I just found another one on fb market place. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174710078114 this is what it looks like. I only paid $19 for it. I think it will be a fun project for this winter.

next house work job: empty the dw, sweep and rinse kitchen floor
put chicken in the oven
empty the top of the washing machine and dryer - wash

I was cold put on a sweater went out side took it off right away did not need it.
Then decided to mow just part of the back needed it so that's done now yea!

I rested a bit and watched another episode of my show.

Then headed out to mow the front yard not much had grown enough but under the big tree glad to have it all done on the same day.
I'll water after its not so sunny. 78* outside now at just after three.

Rested and that helped.
I had soup for dinner.
Watering in a bit.

I still feel 'shaky' or vibrating but only on the inside. If I hold my hand out it isn't shaking. So it is nerves, low blood sugar, dehydration, or drop in adrenaline. Any are possible but dehydration seems off (I've had 9+ cups of liquid so far today.) I also ate a banana about an hour ago. On the other hand my tummy is growling so I will make some dinner for myself. I've eaten so lightly over the past week, it wouldn't surprise me that was it. As I typed this, dh commented (without being able to see my screen) that he was sorry he was too weak to make me something for dinner. He doesn't want to eat himself and as I went through the possibilities, hamburg chowder popped into my mind for myself so I will start that for me (it is in the freezer.)

The Stuff Swap is going well. I'll be back at 7 to clean up. I picked up a couple of things, one for ds, one for dd, and will test out some wireless ear buds for myself.

Found an electrical cable for something someone took early on so have posted in the FB group hoping the person finds it.

Off to start my dinner and make up dgs' bed with his clean sheets.

2 chickens are in the oven - mom helped
chicken is out of the oven resting - potatoes are cooking.
she folded laundry for me and I put it away.
I need to really clean the counters etc. done

mom cleaned sink - rinsed dishes and put them in dw
I did a few more dishes and now the dishwasher is running.
I have another 1/2 hour on the water. time to turn off the water - fill platters for animals with water around the garden.
lost my meat thermometer - hope the chicken will be okay -

I received my spinach seeds for the fall. time to plant.
time to check the potatoes

Home from workout and it was a doozy. Lots of cardio work, two minutes on bike with a couple of bursts of speed, two min on treadmill at incline, recumbent bike, two min with bursts. Told him I needed to build up my left bicep so we did curls with light to heavier then back down.

Afterward I took glass recycling - it doesn't go into the bin that is picked up - then to post office for HOA then dropped off some donation books to the library. I am tired.

Our supper will be meat loaf, roasted butternut squash and salad.

This has been sitting for awhile. Supper is underway. I made a grocery list for Rosh Hashana prep (brisket, gelfilte fish and challah.)

OH no, bw2, how disappointing on the peaches! I think I missed wishing you a happy birthday earlier in the week. And wow on that needlework! My eyes would be giving out, I don't try it anymore.

I also need some of Nancy's weather. My car was registering over 90 degrees here, but I do think it's a little cooler. At least our humidity is lower, but Nancy, I can't imagine needing a sweater yet.

Kathryn, I hope you're better by now. I know that vibrating on the inside feeling like one is just waiting for the next mental blow.

I walked the dog earlier and stopped to see if dfriend M was home and could walk. They have been away and I had a sense that I had seen her car go by but no one answered the door. (And there was a note that doorbell was broken and pls knock.) dmillie and I went to the gate into the back yard to see if there were on the screened porch, but seemed no one was home? Anyway, she had a Chewy package on front porch so if they are still away I need to get it inside. I also didn't hear Ruby bark so I suspect they aren't here.

the peaches were a bummer but not the biggest problem in the world Nothing better than a freshly picked good peach!
needle point is big - I can't do cross stitch, esp. the petite point cross stitch anymore. knitting - I forget the count

(((((Kathryn)))) So many stresses happening at the same time. I wish we lived closer in times like this so I could be an extra set of hands to help you. When does Ken start his trip?

The teens are happy because I made one of their favorite dishes..... a double batch of mac & cheese.

I so appreciated having an awesome pharmacist. I got a text message they had 3 prescriptions for me to pick up. I thought it was a mistake because I am not on prescription meds. When I called, she immediately had the answer for me. She said the periodontist had sent in prescriptions for pain meds and mouth rinse. I will get the prescriptions in the morning on my way to surgery. I also appreciated the periodontist calling the prescriptions in a day before so I don't have to go to pharmacy after surgery.

We get peaches from Georgia and Colorado that are amazing. It is announced on FB when they will be arriving. A semi truck brings them and sells them by the case. It isn't unusual for them to sell out in a couple hours. I put several fresh peaches in the freezer and the last 2 peaches are on the counter. If someone doesn't eat them before in the morning I will slice and freeze them too.

Thrift and Thimbles -- I don't think I have anything on either topic to contribute...
and I know it's late, it's actually Friday, but I wanted to catch up on this endless L*ST of CR*P I've had to do lately...

[x] Update ds's map -- dh always put a pin in this large map we have in the study, for places ds had played, I'm keeping it up
[x] Finish laundry (except for folding the towel/rags that are in the dryer)
[x] Haircut at 2:00 (Thursday)
[x] Homecoming parade, deliver DGS at 5:00 pm, get parking place, pep rally afterwards

Remaining to do's for tomorrow and weekend
[ ] DGD's "Constitution Day" parade
[ ] Call high school, possibly buy tickets in advance for game tomorrow night
[ ] Go to ballgame with DS/family
[ ] Leave at 8:00 a.m. Saturday for band leader's funeral
[ ] Church Sunday
[ ] Funeral for dfriend's husband Sunday afternoon

Then there are the other things. None of these items below actually HAVE TO be done tomorrow or any particular time; no one cares... It's just the higher things on my priorities that I haven't done this week.
IN ADDITION TO THE THINGS THAT HAVE DEADLINES...
I have the following items that I KEEP writing, over and over and over, week after week... and they NEVER get done.
This is where y'all come in... HOW do I motivate myself to tackle these open-ended items that no one cares about, but which I know need to be done, I want to get done, but I spend all my time sleeping... watching TV... playing on my phone...
I tell myself to spend FIVE MINUTES a day on ONE item... nope... doesn't get through to my head.
Here we go --
[ ] Vacuum/dust
[ ] Clean bathrooms
[ ] Type teacher group notes
[ ] Work on memory book -- compiling mementos from dh's funeral, flowers, FB posts
[ ] Transfer pictures from phone to computer
[ ] Organize/label those files on computer
[ ] Put printed photos in albums or photo boxes -- the albums are beginning to get out of hand and DS and I have discussed the space required to save them this way
[ ] Find first College Town pics of dgd and put in frame to match dgs'
[ ] Spray round-up on weeds in driveway
[ ] Prune shrubs
[ ] Call/text friends more regularly -- several I am trying to keep up with better

And I didn't even mention, work on my writing, declutter journals and writing, get back on track with zone cleaning, declutter closets, etc...

I know I need some kind of discipline, some kind of change in my routine, but I am just kind of hopeless re: my sleep schedule and everything. I manage anything that has a real deadline, but I just can't get a grip on the things where I have to set my own guidelines.
