Dcleaning lady is done and gone. I'm having a salad from the refrigerator. Dh went to the grocery on Friday and brought us home salads and they have gone uneaten until now. The lettuce was pretty soggy but I added baby spinach. Should carry me through until dinner. I hesitate to cook for tonight when I'm trying to clear refrigerator space. We also have leftover pork tenderloin that would heat up nicely, as well as the brisket that needs to be sliced tonight. I think I'll cobble together a meal from what's available.

So I'm starting the OMM List...I need to change shoes because foot is achy and need best shoe support. Starting timer at :15 before hour.

Always so cheerful, bw2! You are an example to me!
May your day be filled with JOY!

I set up my planner/cards for the week last night, and I was up really late -- I also worked on some more "memory book" items I had almost forgotten about. I think memory book and photos are going to be my main focus this week.
I haven't really done much so far today, and it is 1:00 pm. I've been awake for 2.5 hours and still no s2s! I feel kind of like the apostle Paul... oh what wretched (wo)man I am...
I did write a couple checks and call the bank auto-teller to make sure direct deposit had arrived.

Hooray for Twins finding the ring!!! * whew * I know that is a huge weight off your shoulders!

(((Blessed))) -- I sooo envy your patience with your dmom. And your attitude. You really have a lot on you and I sure hope I can follow your example if/when my dmom reaches this point.

LadyM, I have to agree with blessed -- I'd be still complaining at 87-93 degrees. But I'm glad y'all are feeling the difference and having some milder days.

I am in a quandary about photos too, Dove. I have just about used up all my space for photo albums, and I know ds would prefer photo boxes instead of all these albums. BUT I still like having them in albums -- I'm just WAAAY behind on getting caught up! So I'm thinking about boxes.

Harriet, I am just sooo thankful that it sounds like your area was spared the worst of the hurricane! I have cousins in Asheville, (my mom's first cousin and his family, including two adult children and their families.) I have reached out via FB and text, but haven't heard from them. The scenes shown on the news are just overwhelming. I can't even imagine the clean-up ahead for so many people.
They kept showing something called Biltmore Village, I think, but I've seen no pictures from the actual mansion and its grounds. I may never get to see that place, but I would love to! Who knows, maybe when dgs gets his license, I can get him to help me do the driving and see some of these places before he's off to college. ;)

Nancy, I got my indoor walking in, and morning stretches, but that's about as far as I got this morning.

Dove, it almost never fails -- when I vacuum or dust, I seem to knock something over and break it! I need to dust also!

I MUST
[ ] finish my morning routine, including Bible reading and s2s
[ ] start a load of laundry
[ ] go to ATM and post office
[ ] find out what our plans are for ballgame tonight -- I think I'll be riding with ds -- don't know what time he wants to leave. Game is away at a school about 15/20 miles from us.
[ ] start WHB -- dusting, clean bathrooms
Tomorrow is another day.

I worked 45 min and finished up some of the things I had started and not finished: the "inbox" of papers I was sorting in hopes of finding ring earlier, the lantern on the porch cleaned. I wiped down part of the other furniture on the front porch. I scanned some of the papers from that inbox so I could discard them. It looks respectable at least now.

Going again in a minute.

DH and I went to a local grocery store to stock up DS16 refrigerator/freezer. I sent him pictures of it and he called to say THANK YOU.

I need to update my paper daily list and see what hasn't been accomplished. I have about 1.5 hours before leaving to get DD13.

I looked in my freezer and was pleased! Yea for that.
Have been to JoAnn's to use my birthday coupon.
A bit bummed that I did not find fabrics I had hoped to get.
One piece was not enough for the project I wanted it for.

Came home for soup I have to make a ch. san. or two today to use that up.

Fat quarters have been rinsed and the rements too and are dripping outside now.

I have one cup of tomato soup left

Yay our water from the company came in. our water in our town isn't good so everyone has bottled water that has been tested better than our city water.

Still working. I straightened and swept out the garage and then did a bunch of smaller things. I need to get moving but need to do some low intensity things!

Adding on to the earlier post: I've gotten my "groove" perhaps and am doing what I need to do to get this together. Just checked on plastic cutlery and honey, both important to Rosh Hashana. I also wiped out the inside refrigerator. I pulled out a paper "charger" that I used one time for a party. I'll use it to take some treats to the temple for the RH oneg (reception) after the service. The cemetery board hasn't been asked before, it's usually just the board of directors, but whatever. (For years I had to take something for this because dh was a past president and they let all past presidents stay on the board. Then I was probably on the board for 7 or 8 more years...sigh.) I'm buying something, btw. Not baking.

Chance of light rain again. We did have the sun peek through a little today.

Today I emailed my contact at the genealogy library in Greeneville TN. The library is closed until power is restored (it's only open two days a week as I remember) and at home she still has water for now, although she says that 3/4 of the county doesn't. The other library staff person was cut off from the outside until Saturday p.m. or Sunday a.m, but there's a way for her to get out now.
