Re: It's October! PWYC
I have worked in the yard for an hour and then we walked.
I've had lunch.
Turned off the heat not so cold but now my fingers are cold LOL!
Trying to do a daily spiff on table and de-clutter kit. counters a bit each day.
Making some more progress each day yea.
I dusted off the top of the china hutch.
Current focus is on the rolling art cart and getting paint and glue bottles off of it has been helping. More things like brushes next.
------
Warmed up by going outside to work in the sun.
Got the trailer emptied out yea!!!
Branches are in the can to go next week.
Have put a few more items in the potting shed de-cluttering the deck is a great feeling.
Picked up the stuff I pruned suckers off the purple leaf tree.
That is in the wheel burrow now.
I put the patio stuff in the carport the other day got the chairs & a table in the shed today.
Yea for that and brought out the other side table I want to take apart and got it up on the work station.
It is apart now. The wood can be burned if not used thinking I Might be able to paint a sign, or do a
snack tray with some of it. My next painting project is handy and put on the docket soon. This helped with getting in more steps today closer to my goal now yea!
-----
After the lasted CE class I went out side to paint the first coat on a size table. Glad for that because it relaxes me.
It could be a kids table not sure the final color but I"m paining the first coat in white.
Might put yellow on as a final color. It was peaceful and quiet my dog was inside napping.
Other dog was heard kitty corner from us look like kids are there with the mom's dog not sure if she is alive still or not.

Your projects sound interesting, Nancy!
Bw2, glad you're working into a routine with your dmom. It's a lot to be handling her in her own place. Genius to get her out to get it cleaned, tho.
I had a good workout as usual. I didn't understand the news about it tho - the guy who runs it who is my trainer now will not be retained so he's looking for a job. And whenever he leaves, no more workouts for me there. They will only have independent trainers using it. So I need to find a new gym/trainer. He thinks he'll be there through the end of this month... Dh will be okay because the trainer he uses is only part-time there and she trains independently now. So I think he just will pay her. She's great, but she only works in the a.m. and has other clients that she sees in the afternoon in their homes. So that's gonna be on my mind as soon as this holiday is over.
Ddog wants walk - I need to take her and then regroup. I went to bakery and bought stuff for tomorrow night - perhaps dh or I can get it there tomorrow.

~~~waving Hello to all~~~~
Twins - Thank you for the start today and link to the free covid tests.
I don't think I have been wasteful of my time today but here it is mid-afternoon and I haven't finished my daily to-do's. There has been more social interaction today than normal. DH is back to his normal mental self and that means Mr Social is full force. I have forgotten how much DH is a people person. How many people has he had lengthy conversations with today?
1 - Richard
2 - Kay
3 - Sam
4 - Joe
5 - Bank teller (I forgot her name)
6 - Nettie
7 - Jennifer
8 - Pearl
9 - Joe (not the same joe listed above)
10 - Gary
11 - stocker at grocery store that DH listened to her troubles and gave her a hug and encouragement.
I enjoy talking to people but compared to DH, I am more of an introvert. ANYway, all this social chit-chatting takes time.
Today is a new month which means I started a fresh daily check-off sheet. If I don't get those daily to-do's crossed off today then I will have to look at the blank spot ALL MONTH. It seems that I am motivated by a simple little X in a blank spot. LOL
Re: It's October! PWYC
LOL, LadyM. IKWYM about living with an extrovert. When we go out to an event with a lot of people, he's constantly being greeted. He worked for the Chamber of Commerce years ago so he got around!
Dog is walked and happy for now.
I'm going to do a round of chore bingo, knowing of course, that dh will come by in the middle of it. Actually, I should eat something first. I had breakfast/brunch around 11, then an apple and peanut butter before my workout. I need to keep my energy up!
editing to add on instead of new post:
Dcousin whose brother recently passed away called me for my Venmo account, hopefully that will be forthcoming. We talked awhile.
Then dh came in and he's still asking about inviting another couple. We looked at totals and looks like we're more like 25 (including the two of us) and I just don't want to expand. What happens next year? I'm not sure I can keep doing this in the first place.... Last year I came out of it with my hip hurting like crazy and now it's my foot.
Anyway, I have 14 things of the Task Bingo list, need to find the numbers and get started.
Re: It's October! PWYC
I am an extrovert with strangers (I love to help people along the way) and an awkward introvert with everyone else!
dh is an introvert in the sense he doesn't talk to much but he loves to listen to everyone talking.
my older is an introvert and a good person too. She needs down time after her work week. I know she is exhausted from long hours.
my youngest is a social butterfly - she needs the interactions - it makes her happy!
She has many good friends from all different groups. She is a good friend as well as being a good person. She thrives on people interaction.
d lady - I am so happy your dh is back to himself! What a blessing!!!! He must have been ill and it affected his body and brain. I saw that with dh.
d twins and d lady I always thought of your dh's as extroverts! Very friendly!
I am so sorry your cousins brother passed away. praying for the family d twins! Your home always sounds so inviting. I think it's ok to limit the number -
cheering you on through task bingo!!!! Glad you had a good workout but so so sorry your trainer has to go somewhere else to work. praying he finds a job fast and that he loves it! Hope you find a trainer you love!
enjoy your work!
Re: It's October! PWYC
mom was a handful! She started to talk politics - preceded to tell a man, at the phone store, about how she prepares for a hurricane. (his sister was in Ashville, NC.) He was kind enough to understand. She has forgotten how dangerous the last hurricane was; Without dd it would have been a scary moment.
We went to William Sonoma and when I check out, the woman asked for my phone number - Mom then said that my phone was her phone number. Again feisty.
I have to admit my patience was tested.
She is not happy to be here but I had to charge her phone with her new charger
Re: It's October! PWYC
bw2, you really are patient with her you're always upbeat. What a great attitude you have.
I've crossed off five jobs (of 13 - I thought I had fourteen?) and am in the middle of the upstairs bathroom clean up. Just need to finish with the toilet and shake out rugs and sweep. I'm not even mopping up there, it's hardly used. Found four more things that I "might" do.
When I'm ready to quit tonight I will.
Edited: and I'm done! Also arranged cookies/treats to go to temple tomorrow.
Re: It's October! PWYC
DgdC came and sewed some more.
Our green-eyed boy mowed the yard while his sister was with me.
His Dad came in the sewing room with us and chatted - after he found a place to sit, lol.
They will take a mini vacation from Thursday to Sunday, gone fishing.
HRH made veggie stew and grilled cheese sandwiches. At first, I turned the sandwich down, but couldn't stand it. Smelled too good.
