I used a colored marker at the top of some cards
when I ran out of colors.
My weekly ones were blue,
daily white or yellow what ever I had the most of.
Pink was personal,
green for $ and holidays
purple for church and club group activities.

Re: Aug. Cards
Thanks Harriet and Nancy. The colored marker on the top of a card is a good idea. I haven't heard of grouped cards, but I think I understand the concept. Is a grouped card when you have several "cards" on 1 card?
For example, when I clean the main bathroom, I sometimes clean the MBR bathroom too since the main bath is right next to the MBR, and I have the cleaning supplies out already. . .It makes sense to do those 2 together, and neither is huge. I could put those 2 on 1 card.
I have:
yellow - dailies
blue - weeklies
hot pink - errands/meetings outside the home
striped - monthlies or less often
I think that is it.
Yes, i can see how rotation is important; I sometimes get stuck on something and can't move on until it is done "perfectly."

Re: Aug. Cards
I have my "weeklies" on one card,
now I keep that in my journal so when
I'm writing I can got over it and see what I need to
focus on the other day I realized I'd forgotten one
Clean Mic. [microwave] so put that on and went
in and did that one right away as it was really needed!

Re: Aug. Cards
helia, the link Nancy gave, about 1/2 down that page, is info about grouped cards with the heading, "How Many ... ..".
I have a grouped card for every room, no matter how small ... ... even "hall" for instance, and "walkway". I have a grouped card for regular errands, one for Desk Day (and now for Desk Day for my parents). That sort of thing.
I like paper clips and post-it flags because I can change my mind over and over. I actually use my paper clips to send myself a message - yellow for "caution, I've skipped this card" and red for "stop skipping this card!"

Re: Aug. Cards
I may miss the kids but it does feel good to have some assemblence of routine.
I am changing my card file a bit. my dailies will remain on cards but my weeklies and monthlies will go into a journal as well as my focus, I am trying something new. I will continue to list my errands in the errand section, things I must write, call etc. but I noticed I kept moving cards ahead for weeklies and each day ran into problems to get monthlies done.
I also am changing my summer to only weeklies and outside focus as well as dailies as we are always so busy and I need the freedom. it will at least focus me to once a week to do weeklies.
once dd13 goes to college then that will change again back to focus during summer.
today: august 27
fill out form for picture day tomorrow
mail out dd20's house cd
dailies
and my laundry
lunch with dh
pilates 3pm
pick up book in morning
