Re: Magical Monday PWYC
I've had a researching day also, and made one card. I also messaged with a White not completely distant cousin. I think my father and her great grandmother were first cousins. I'm not figuring it out right now.
Dh and I went out for dinner and after I went by the drugstore. Doc has to get pre-approval from insurance for the script that's on hold.
Going to read a bit before bedtime.
bw2, sourdough focaccia sounds wonderful! The focaccia where we go for dinner is amazing but we don't eat it. We ask them not to bring it to the table, actually.
Waving wildly at Nancy, Harriet and Lucylee!

Re: Magical Monday PWYC
~~Waving Hi to all~~~
I have been slow to post today. Nothing wrong but just staying focused on getting things done. Normal things - public school, homeschool, DS16 work, routines, habits, etc.
Extras today include -
** Going with DS16 to the coop during his lunch to purchase steel toed boots. His current pair is only about 3 months old but they are completely destroyed with the top part of his boot tore open so bad that the steel toe protector fell out. ANYway, finding a pair of boots for DS16 is never easy because he wears size 14 and that size isn't usually kept in stock. I usually have to order them. We were both thankful they had one pair in stock. There is no picking color, style, comparing price, etc. When they only have one pair of size 14 boots, then that is the boot that we buy.
** Kitchen doings - I made another 3x batch of tuna salad. The triple batch that I made Saturday was gone within 24 hours. I also cooked several tilapia fish filets, made tartar sauce, fried some sweet potatoes, cooked white rice and put some frozen pizza in the air fryer. It feels like food evaporates around here. I am always surprised when I open the refrigerator door the next day and don't find much to eat.
** DS16 boss called about an hour ago after DS16 arrived home from work. His boss was working alone on skid steer in the pasture. He got off and was pulling a chain when everything went wrong. His boss was hurt so bad that he couldn't get up and called for DS16 to come help him up. DS16 was first one on scene with his boss wife and son arriving moments later. They took over medical decision making and called for ambulance. They suspect L4/L5 spine damage.
** Tonight DS16 and friend are swapping out seats in the new-to-him 1997 crew cab pickup. This pickup runs well but the bench seat won't adjust backward enough to easily accommodate DS16 height. His knees are bent so sharply that they hit the steer wheel. DS16 saw the same year/model pickup sitting in driveway of a person he didn't know. He knocked on their door and asked if they would sell or trade the captain style seats in their pickup. The people told DS16 that he could exchange their captain seats for his bench seat at no cost. We are constantly amazed at how DS16 seeks out help and parts to keep a vehicle running. The kindness of a total stranger to help DS16 is heartwarming.

Re: Magical Monday PWYC
Hallelujah I am off duty from duncle!
He was truly no problem. He is very quiet these days. Barely said anything if I didn’t speak up first.
He can take a few steps on his own, no Walker or cane, but he seems awfully weak. I hope to hear results from the CT tomorrow.
We are hoping he will qualify for 21 day rehab at hospital or nursing home, but will have to wait till tomorrow to see what the doctor thinks.
I am waiting on ds and dgrands — we’re going to eat supper here in Next Town, where hospital is.

Re: Magical Monday PWYC
How scary to hear of potential spine damage for ds' boss, LadyM.
Hoping for a good report.
Who is that waving wildly? Oh, waving wildly back at Twins'!
Elizabeth, we are all interested to hear about your party doin's!
Kathryn, will you plan for as many as you usually do?
Ramblin', is your community finished or is there more on Thursday evening?
I posted some of our plans for Trick or Treat in the holiday thread.
I have an appt tomorrow, a scan. I wish I knew how long it will take. HRH will drive.
