Tues. Toss it and Pitch it day Card ~
dh is worrying us again - I think he is getting a cold and he refuses to address it with the dr.
he won't go to the dr. right now but I will insist if he doesn't get better or his trac looks yucky. The wheezing is scary but it was worse yesterday.

The sun is out after 3 days of rain clouds.
In the kitchen today -
** Mac and cheese
** Hot links
** Beef franks
** Peppers sauteed.
I have the Red Lobster Garlic/Cheesy biscuit mix out for DD13 to make later today. That is one of her favorite things to make.
Wondering what would happen if I took regular pancake mix and added unflavored protein powder to it? Or maybe adding vanilla protein powder mix? DH LOVES pancakes but his body has a negative reaction after eating high carbs. Maybe if they had higher protein his body would react differently? I'm not sure about this. I'll ask DH if I should experiment.

Everyone loves the
dry mix that we get from Sam's.. We bake them in the air fryer.
No one liked the frozen ones from Sams.
The fella DS16 works for didn't have anything for him to do today. His boss fractured 5 vertebrae in his back so he is very limited in what he can do while healing. All the boss projects are on hold while he heals. Add that with the rain so there is no working outdoors. It took DS16 less than 2 minutes to find another job to work at today. DS16 made one phone call and is working at a home renovation construction project. Typical DS16....he didn't ask what it pays. He just wants to work more than he is concerned about how much he will earn. The thought of staying home when he is not sick is not a possibility that DS16 is willing to do.
I have been looking for easy travel places for DH to get some socialization. I don't want to mentally overwhelm DH with too much stimulation but on the other hand being isolated is not enough socialization & mental stimulation. It is a balance I haven't found. I am adding to our calendar the local basketball games. I think they might be a good fit for DH. He can choose to visit with locals or just sit and watch the game. We will attend our first game tonight. I hope it works as well as I think it will. We won't know unless we try.

I feel like I should take a nap.
My day slightly recovered in that I was able to go see the retirement home I thought I had an appointment to see. So that was good. I liked it and think it might be a good choice for my sister. Coincidentally, I could see my apartment from one of guest suites she showed me. I also have booked an appointment at another building for tomorrow after my hair cut.
I also got to the bank but it was not successful. Turns out the government bill I had can't be paid at the bank and the teller couldn't figure out how to pay my Blue Cross bill because it requires an account number and I have a policy number, a beneficiary number, an invoice number and two other numbers but none of them are the account number. So I have to wait until tomorrow and try again. That makes the bill 4 days overdue (but the business was closed for 3 of those days.)
So I need to pay the government bill online as well the car insurance and a credit card. None of these are overdue.
Three loads of laundry are done and put away and fresh sheets are on the bed, fresh towels in the bathroom.
I have an idea for dinner, so now I have 2 hours to clean up the living room for my meeting and pull up the files I need. I think I'll hook up the TV to my computer so that everyone can see the documents we'll be working on.
In "unpacking from the cottage" news, I went to take my computer glasses out of my computer bag and they weren't in their spot in it. I couldn't remember when I had them last. When writing dh about them being missing, I realized I had a second computer bag on the go at one point early in October and found them there. I dumped out my regular computer bag looking for them and when it was time to do the banking I realized I hadn't seen my secondary wallet (with my business bank card) when I dumped the computer bag. I checked the regular purse I keep it in and it wasn't there. Thankfully, in this case it was just a dark brown chair hiding a black wallet and I only panicked for about 5 minutes.
The reason papers and 'stuff' is so out of control in my living room and dining room is that I've been carrying documents and to-do items back and forth, 'meaning to get to it up at the cottage' and then doing nothing except planning our return, or reading, while up there. I find my apartment very stressful because I keep seeing things I have put off for weeks and weeks because reminders of to-do tasks are piled all over the place, including a pile of "off my mind" lists I made up at one point!

Been to class, worked around the house, and did some computer work. Ate lunch and then headed to the library.
I am weary of all the commercials and bad talk from both sides and can’t wait until tomorrow gets here. All my friends here feel the same way. I am done and have been for a while. Sweetie lives for this so I have been spending time in my bedroom with the door shut where I have a reading corner set up.
LadyM… one of the reasons Sweetie and I am going home for Thanksgiving is to remind him of all things home
We have tickets for a musical this weekend and have several more in the works.
