Well my day had been quite busy.

Laundry day so bed has been stripped and remade. One load washed, dried and put away and second is in the dried. Spent time at my desk writing and getting 7 T-day cards, 2 birthday cards and one wedding card mailed.

Sweetie and I went to the bank and the WM which was an absolute zoo. Loads and boxes of new merchandise filling and clogging the isles, making it very difficult to maneuver the cart. Even the parking lot was packed. After we left we headed to the PO because we needed to put in a stop mail card.

Came home, flipped laundry, put away the groceries and then made some lunch. I didn’t eat breakfast and I was hungry.

Waving to y’all..bbl

Ramblin', how is your pain at the leg? All gone, I hope.

Mystery, I actually came in thinking that you might have posted. So even if a little disappointed in this first dr's understanding, you are still on track for the program? Friday's appt, too? Ouch for your DD, still looking so under the weather, but things are changing, of course.

We have had a pleasant afternoon, in a way. I made lemonade out of lemons for the first time in so long. HRH absolutely loved it, raved about the difference from bottled. He went straight to the WMart site and searched for the simplistic little table citrus juicer I remember my entire maternal family using. (lol - no good deed goes unpunished?) Found it, but not before we were convinced that there are reasons people invent better mousetraps, and citrus juicers are one. We bought a plastic one with a measuring cup-like bowl underneath so that seeds are strained out and juice pours easily.

So, from there, we made a complete grocery order, getting one thing done. He had felt way too lousy after dentist to get that done in person today, as halfway planned.

Then he showed me his online results on finding some health statistics that kinda have my name on them and are very positive. He was proud of that.

A delivery came and it was a surprise present from him to dd44, a canvas image of our middle grandson's artwork re: her favorite Doctor Who, 90 years old now, I think, Tom Baker. She came by to get it and was happy. I hope dgs will be happy, too.

Harriet… I am the queen of the bandaids right now. One on the area below each temple.. the one on the right is the size of a quarter and the other, the size of a nickel. The one on my leg is the size of a dime. I also have a burn on my pointer finger from the over rack.

It will be two weeks before I find out what surgeries need to be done. Know for sure the spot on my leg will
Need to be removed. Both the dr and I agreed on that. Not sure until until the results come back when will need to be done.

I thought I posted this morning.

Busy day with too much walking.

SHHHH!!! Don't tell anyone but I went Christmas shopping for dh this morning. One thing I did was stop by the booth in a local mall to ask how much it would be to increase dh's cell service so he doesn't run out of game time after less than 3 weeks every month. He plays games on his phone in bed when he can't sleep. He has never complained to me about running out of time. Y'all! I got him a huge plan AND it cost me $2 less per month than the plan he had! Win/win!! I also got him a gift certificate for a hair cut with a hot towel treatment and a shave. They also do the eyebrows and ears and nose. The price for that has actually gone down as well. Now it's the same price it was 10 years ago. On top of that I found him a pair of white running shoes. Not the brand he asked for, but WalmartCanada has stopped carrying this particular brand. I also got him some sweet hot mustard for his stocking.

I've already made supper, which was too easy. Dh wanted a can of pea soup and 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with ham. I had tomato soup.

It was overcast all day and we had some rain.

Cathy S. Yea on those wins for shopping.

I have raked the side yard three diff trips out there and got them containerized now yea!
The fresh air makes it fun for me exercise and getting to do it makes me passionate about it.
A neighbor with arthritis stopped by on a trip by to tell me how much she hates this time of year.
Another neighbor commented on her walk with Charlie the dog a poodle cross mix said how nice it was
even with the rain today. Every one had their own take on today and the weather.

Good evening!

Harriet (and anyone else who's interested): The nutritionist was nice, and informative, and ensured us we were not expected to transform our diets overnight. However, among the information was that no, they do not provide psychological counseling. Best they do is have a list of providers. So while I am still planning to meet the surgeon tomorrow, I think I am also going to look at the Clinic. I have a referral from my psychiatrist for there, so I've got a starting place -- at least a phone number. (Speaking of the psychiatrist, did I mention that I am doing well enough on my new blood pressure medication that I've been given clearance for Adderall? :D )

When I left there, I discovered that blessed's weather had already arrived here. The drive home was slow, and though we don't have the big, fluffy flakes they did at the doctor's office, we have accumulated a couple of inches of snow. Apparently, it should all melt tomorrow.

I hope your spots are taken care of quickly, Rose, and way to go on those Christmas presents, Cathy!

I need to flip that load of laundry I started before.

Wow -- snow! And here we are, complaining because it was 54 degrees on a bright sunshiny day! But the wind -- oh my goodness -- it has been ferocious. Dmom said she didn't think she could have walked into the doctor's office or the drug store without her walker or me holding her arm.
BTW -- she has LOST BOTH her walking canes.

I am NOT going to criticize her OR ds anymore about losing things. I have lost my purse calendar!!!
I love my purse calendar... it is a two-year Emily Ley calendar with the "Happy Stripe" pattern on the cover, and I had noted things in it like when we put a new roof on the house, when I had my colonoscopy, when we bought a new refrigerator... and I cannot find it ANYWHERE in this house or the car!!!
Hmmmm... could I have left it at the dermatologist's office? That is probably the last time I had it out, except here at home... I just thought of that. I will call them in the morning!

Cathy -- you did GREAT on snagging some bargains and getting perfect gifts for your dh! WTG!

All of y'all are always doing so great with the getting-things-done department.
I took dmom to the doctor,
went to Belk and returned shoes, tried on a couple shoes but didn't like them,
stopped by C hicken S alad C hick and got to-go order for my supper
brought dmom back to town/drug store... meds had not gotten insurance approval yet... carried her by hamburger place for grilled chicken salad
took her home
came home myself
ate lunch
fell asleep
-----
woke up, waited for doctor's office to call re: insurance approval, they never did
called drug store, they said they had received approval
started to drug store
they called back and said they were so sorry, approval was not for THIS rx, but another, older rx
came home
ate supper
realized I had lost calendar
searched house, called dgrands to see if they had any idea where it might be... no... what calendar... puzzled looks... LOL
(I really didn't expect anything different)
BUT -- in that phone call, I found out that dgrands and I can go to church with ds where he is playing Sunday night.
(Our church is hosting community Tgiving service, and I really don't want to go, so now I have a good excuse. I will take my fruit tray Sunday morning and make my apologies.)

So -- I've got to get up early tomorrow... call drug store... call dermatologist... possibly go to dmom's... and then meet dfriend for lunch. She just texted me. I also need to go to Wmart tomorrow, to avoid the Saturday rush.
Oh -- and dcousin says she will call me in the morning. I sent her a text re: family Christmas tree in our Christmas on the Square thing in town. She was at her niece's school play.

I am waving to all... hope y'all have a good night.
