Not a lot of energy here, either, Nancy. I'm dragging, whether it's a cold or COVID, or post trip let down, or just a little depression. I have cemetery checkbook and I s2s-ed and made bed. I still need to clear the kitchen island and unload dishwasher. Those go in hand. Before I leave it would be nice to find a couple of seasonal cards for the two temple employees bonuses.

I need to count and deposit my cash from yesterday, both the $$ for change and the small proceeds. I haven't even looked at Venmo yet.

But I need to leave soon...

lol, lucylee, I was posting about my family saying I look neater with my hair cut short. So, the Gilda Radner character coif I sometimes have was "tamed", and I thought of you joking about her, that's all. I freely admit that especially in humid summertime my long hair can come close to her "look".

But the reason for having a beautician cut my hair to a short length (now, before anyone worries about germs/immunity so much) is that I have almost no chance of keeping it, so it would be better to be at home losing short hair than long. That will be the future - maybe early January, they're not sure.

I have spent the whole day waiting for the donation pickup. Sigh. HRH had hopes of going out. I'm afraid priorities aren't being arranged as well as I'd like. We now expect the van in another half-hour or so.

Harriet — I understood your joke about taming the Roseanne look, LOL. Thick hair is definitely a mixed blessing in humid climates! I am so shouldn’t are expecting to have to deal with losing your hair, but I understand totally why you’re getting ahead of it this way.
(((Big Hugs)))

So, I went to the dentist, did not do x-rays, but there were no cavities in sight. I had to tell hygienist about dh. I teared up some but it was fine. She’s been doing my teeth for probably 15 years, and her husband has similar heart problems. I asked how he was doing before I told her about dh

OBGYN can’t see me till next week, Tuesday. So I did some shopping and ate at Chick-Fil-A. I’ve been listening to the Cathedral quartet on a CD and gospel music has me bearing up pretty well while I wait.

I don’t think I’ll shop anymore today. I’ll be over here twice next week and this week is pretty packed. I’m ready to head home.

you and I must have the same hair d harriet! I had to start keeping my hair shorter and thinned out bc the long hair expanded during every humid day. it was a joke with many to compare me to others on the street to see who had bigger hair than me.

I will say that until this summer my hair was so thick that I had BOZO hair a lot of the time. My dh became very curly after it grew back - then poof it went straight like before. I am thinking of you! praying for you to be back to square one fast.
hope the van comes soon

big hugs sweet harriet!

my brother came and it was nice-helpful - he was not stressed - so it was good - I will take it! mom is happy - I will take it! dh is busy on his own stuff. putzing - but I got all the recycling out and put garbage out.

brother is saying dd younger is going back to Florida but does that mean she can stay there awhile - I think dd younger is falling into a bit of depression and I know she is in a incredible amount of pain. She is trying not to use the muscle relaxers.

dogs jumped on mom's white comforter after being out in the mud - out it goes in the car for the cleaners

I picked up some meds but they didn't have the heart meds, the hospital insisted on, to keep her heart rate down. the pharmacy did find it somewhere else.
her dr in Florida did not refill her furosemide again. the hospital said she needs it, I will go into the pharmacy tomorrow when it is not so crowded. I will have to call the local new heart dr. to see if they can give her furosemide.

compared to the other day this is better.

I'm glad that today is marginally better, bw2, and dbro and dmom are cooperative. I feel for you with dd.

Meeting at temple lasted long enough that I was able to go to drugstore, then on to fav dinner place for our dinner. DH got there later but at least I wasn't going home, then directly out again. Drugstore was too crazy busy when I went by before meeting so I had to plan to go back later anyway. Dh and I had nice dinner, split a dish and I even brought some leftovers home. Dh walked ddog so that's done, and I've done parts of p.m. routine.

Tomorrow's calendar is also busy. I have meeting with new therapist at 2 p.m. - I need to figure out where to park to get to her office - and then the old accountability group is having a holiday reunion meeting tomorrow night. Dh will be bowling.

Wow. I hate to go back out tonight for a meeting at 7:30. At least it's in the neighborhood but it's late for me.

thank you d twins!
The nurse said it was best to bring her home so that her brain would adjust again. Glad it did.

how nice you were able to go to your favorite dinner place! wonderful!
yay on finishing pm routines and yay that your dh took d dog out for a walk.

I went to the sink and found dirty dishes   - dh left his in there - he put water in his bowl and in one of the cans he used. (at least that was done). All the dishes are rinsed and now in the dw washing themselves.
more laundry has been flipped, folded and put away, whites are in washing now. I am hoping to get the blankets done.

next read mom's return home papers and buy her a new blanket for her bed - sheets - I have to grab her big blanket and other things to bring to cleaners (after I rinse spots off). I have the cleaning ladies going to mom's in the afternoon.

blessed, I meant to tell you what a good opening you had for us this morning.

I was really hopeful for Ramblin' as I read through her tests of posting yesterday. I fear things didn't change much.

Sewed some tonight - always good.

Dstepson came and helped HRH move furniture.

DS16 broke up with his girlfriend on Saturday and took a new girl to the ballgame tonight.

DD13 can't go to the school field trip this week because she had 5 zeros this semester. Her semester grades are 6 A's and 1 C (Pre-Algebra). She isn't failing any class and hasn't had a zero in over 2 months. If she played sports she wouldn't be ineligible. It doesn't seem fair to have different eligibility rules for sports and field trips. I am not going to create a stink about it with school admin because these are not new rules. But that doesn't mean I like the rules.

#Teenagers.
That is all I have to say about that subject.
