My menu today, of 800 calories, if I choose to accept it (smile)

breakfast
fruit and nut bar with Hibiscus Tea - eaten

lunch
last of the red bell pepper/onion soup with 2 crackers - eaten

supper
last of the carrot soup with ginger, adding some olives on the side, and a dessert-type little bar - considering

The green pea soup is gone - finished that yesterday. It was okay. They're all okay, just boring. They are good veggies, but blended in order to have creamy texture with the feeling you've had more to eat. I can add in whatever herbs, of course, but I don't do too much. You just have to decide you wanted carrot soup, for instance, and then it tastes fine, you can have plenty. On treatment day itself I abandoned the idea of liquids and took in easy-carry things like a whole banana, a Silk almond yogurt. That was a good break right in the middle of the five days, so that I haven't felt deprived.

Tomorrow, breads recommended - yay. I am SO looking forward to BBQ not-pork sandwiches. I chose convenience this time - Upton's Bar-B-Que Jackfruit we've had before. We pay six dollars at our Pub lix for 11 ounces. A boxed product with plastic-sealed contents inside, doesn't need refrigerated, but our Pub lix keeps it with refrigerated. Tastes for all the world like pulled pork but it's young jackfruit pulled and BBQed. And you never run into bites of fat or gristle! I'll make my homemade slaw and yum.

I made it myself once with canned jackfruit, but that fruit is so different at its different stages, and from the can it just didn't have the same texture. Pub lix also carries Jackfruit in season, so maybe I will search recipes and try to grab some young in spring. I can only make a mess, right? (Very large fruit - mystery to me inside! Adventure cooking.)

Crafty creativeness needed to get my mind off food for the rest of this day, and then I'm good. Did need a nap, but that was the prednisone messing with my nights.

I enjoy reading what others are focusing on.

I am feeling challenged by my eating plan. Challenged in a good way that results in me being motivated.
I'm feeling abundantly blessed because I have all this food to eat.
1st mini meal - Coffee & Collagen
2nd mini meal - Eggs & Potatoes
3rd mini meal - Beans & Greens
4th mini meal - Yogurt Protein Drink
5th mini meal- Meat & Beets
6th mini meal- Fish & Big Green Salad

It doesn't happen overnight, but I am slowly getting back into my groove.

I’m still not feeling quite right… nothing looks good to eat. Yesterday I ate two plain hotdogs, no buns, and two corn muffins. I’m having a difficult time just cooking Sweeties dinner.

I spent some time chatting with AI this morning about healthy eating habits. It didn't tell me anything new, but it was a quick easy way to be reminded why food choices are important and how they impact how I feel.
I like that I can challenge or argue with AI and it doesn't get mad. LOL I can keep asking questions about its response until I can understand its information fully.

Who knew AI can be a virtual nutrition coach? I have no clue what all AI can do but intend to keep asking questions.

Yesterday I ate a tuna sandwich …1/2 for lunch and 1/2 for dinner. A little later on I had1/2 cottage cheese with some strawberries thrown in. I’m not starving but not hungry either

RR - how are your surgery places healing?

I made appt for 3 month post surgery checkup for the 1st week of February. I forgot that my body is healing from multiple surgeries. I need to be more patient with myself.

I am staying focused on the majors and trying to let the minor things go.
Majors =
** Sleep
** nutritious food
** hydration
** moving body
** stress

I am posting for accountability. I am keeping my focus on taking care of myself.
I don't feel like I am making progress, but I am trying to be content with being on a weight loss plateau.

I watched a video for inspiration. I cook and eat like this much of the time except I add meat to my meals.
Whole food. Organic when possible.

I am trying to remain steady in TAKING CARE OF MYSELF.
But not seeing any progress can be frustrating.

Yesterday I met all my primary health goals with the exception of moving my body. I didn't go outside yesterday, which is rare for me. The risk vs rewards were not worth it due to everything being slick. We had the option of having DS16 doing all our outside must-do's and chose that.

I am still analyzing my cronometer data from yesterday because I ate out of my norm. The data surprises me. I had about 700 calories of highly nutritious food and 500 calories of low/not nutritious food. I still met all 82 vitamin and mineral RDA.
