LOL, Harriet, yes, our "powder room" has no cabinet, pedastal sink and then a "bakers rack" for tp, kleenex, reading material, a basket for storing hand towels, candle, some pretties, etc. No place to store cleaning supplies. Glad you're up to doing some cleaning. I love a bathroom that smells clean.

Morning, RR. Dh will be watching football with you I suspect. Glad it gives him something to do while I declutter, clean upstairs.

Cathy is feeling energetic today! You go, girl!

Big picture Harriet? I'm a "tree" level person myself, not forrest, but the reminder is powerful. I mentioned to LadyM this a.m. that it's not what you eat on one day, it's the average and trend - and I see now it's the big picture too. I love the idea of Tobias on the hunt. I always like to let the dog into the garage often to check for intruders. I'm hoping that even if she doesn't find anything, the smell of a dog about will deter.

bw2, your question plays right into me decluttering upstairs today.
What do you want to give your energy to?
If it's what I'm enthusiastic about doing today, I need to honor that energy and get on it.

Lots of wisdom today!

Good… morning! (Yes, it is still morning; I wasn’t sure.) Slept in a little, but not too long. Had my morning routine done in time to listen to my radio show. Well, almost done. I only just remembered to take my pills.

Speaking of pills, that is certainly a lot of time to put up your mother’s, blessed! I thought mine took a while. (I’ve never timed it, but I guess it would be about 20 minutes.)

I think my big picture would be improved by paying some attention to the small picture — I really should get back in the box. I’m using an app with checklists, but it’s not as good for getting the cleaning done as it is for other tasks.

DH is out doing another Klondike event today, though not with his troop— he’s just helping out. I told him before he left to stay warm — I should have told him to stay dry! It’s above freezing, for the day, anyway, and there’s been a steady rain. Aside from cold rain being miserable, I’m sure it’s turning the snow to slush.

We are supposed to run the livestream at church this afternoon, so I’m hoping DH will be back in time. If things go as he plans, I don’t think he’ll have much time to get warm, just to change out of his wet clothes. :?

Harriet, I hope things re blood, antibiotics, etc., get less discombobulated for you. You’ve got enough on your plate. The bucket hats sound perfect, though.

My afternoon project for the day is to clear off some table space. I think I’ll throw in some wash as well.

Waving to Mystery.

I'm at my upstairs computer/genealogy desk still and ddog just hopped up on the daybed across from me. She's been resistant to napping here, although I find signs that she does so when I'm not around.

I'd just finished a small load of my laundry when dd's last present bit arrived, so I hung up laundry to drip dry and started gathering the wrappings I'd already picked.

But HRH suddenly said, "Let's go out to lunch!", so that was up next.

We went to the Vietnamese Pho place where he has enjoyed chatting with the cook a few times. It was sort of good, but I am just not a fan of that blend of tastes sometimes and right now don't have my taste buds aligned well anyway. I was pleased to get veggies I haven't had in a while, though, especially cauliflower. And HRH just loves the Pho with lots of veg, plus fresh bean sprouts, cilantro, basil for you to put in yourself.

Coming back, we noticed that dstepdil's sister was visiting, which reminded us of the sympathy card, so we dashed home and got that to deliver. Dstepson came out and chatted with us. Perhaps (and since I looked reasonably nice) I should have gone inside to say hello, but we were a surprise, so I didn't.

The present is wrapped now, so that's several little around-the house chores done today.

I have been hard at this stamping desk this afternoon and have a ton of things to cart off, once I decide where they will go. Told therapist this week that's one of my hurdles - I want it to go to someone who will love it! Sell it, donate to school, Goodwill, I want it gone. I probably should do some prioritizing - some things I know can be sold for a decent price should be sold online in a stamping group for resale. (Remember, this fall I tried to sell some stamp sets and didn't even get bites at $5 each. And now I can't even find the bags I was used to ship the ones that did sell - probably lost in this room somewhere.)

The desk looks good. I have a lot of designer 12 x 12 paper to donate. Dh came up and I showed him the shelf I need put up for stamp sets and he took it under advisement. Needs vacuuming in that area, but it's only a small window alcove of this room.

Dh made plans for us to go out to eat with a neighbor couple this evening. Mexican. I need to head downstairs and spend some time with him, lol.

dh didn't want to come into the kitchen where brother, mom, dd older and I were talking - I asked if he wanted to come. Nope, but he wasn't mean or angry. he stood in the front room and enjoyed looking out the window - just relaxing. my brother will say hi if he sees him and then dh will say hi too but that's about it.
