The snow is supposed to be south of us but we're very cloudy and super cold. It looks like snow weather but we've been assured that we're too dry or something. (Actually radar shows we're getting very light snow, however I think it must be evaporating?)

Home with pretty nails but my feet are COLD! Need to keep off socks/shoes for awhile to be sure toes are good and dry. I'm planning to wear dress sandals to the wedding on Sunday. I talked to dd for 25 minutes during the pedicure.

Worked on list of must do and like to do before we leave on Thursday a.m. early. I've done one, put two in process (rescheduling), assigned two to tomorrow (pick up dress, get glasses adjusted, make deposit for HOA).

Home from taking DH to his appt with PA at family doc office. His A1C was 5.4 His genetic testing results were negative. I confessed the change I made to DH medication due to AI saying there was a conflict that causes cognitive symptoms. The PA approved of my change. We will do a blood test in 3 months to evaluate the how the medication changes affect his blood.

When we arrived home I switched gears and made a quick lunch for DS16. Having ready-to-eat protein & baked potatoes on hand is vital be able to put together a filling healthy meal quickly.

I have just been watching tv and scrolling on my phone all day. I’ve got to get up and do SOMETHING. I need to schedule that biopsy but I just can’t seem to make myself do it. I just feel really down today. I guess if I get up and do ANYTHING I would feel better but right now I just feel sorta paralyzed with nervousness and depression.

I walked had to do it earlier than normal b/c might be tied up at our regular time slot.
I got the old TV box out of the closet. I am hoping the tech. guy will help me with getting that out of here. 50" too big for me alone.
So getting smaller ones was my smart decision! Gotta say I really wrestled with getting the 2nd one but like dson said I am in more than one room.
Sun comes in the window and makes it a challenge and I do have thick double drapes up too. So glad I did get that one for the basement last summer so I had some idea of what I wanted and how it works.

Worked on my journaling stuff I did today so far.

Next up:
Time to think about getting my lunch prepped.
Basement focus &

take a couple things downstairs x
Put away Paint x

Must post quickly as my office is in a cold corner right now.

We are without heat except for what's called "emergency" or "auxiliary", and I don't think that's unusual in our area right now. This is why colder climes don't use heat pumps.

However, we are unable to get the heat up beyond 62 and in my current situation I'm genuinely uncomfortable, don't feel confident about going to one of the children's houses (immunity issues - doctor would be concerned). And temp only headed further down tonight.

The heating folks sent a tech who checked everything, brought a large space heater like they use - maybe the size of a microwave-and-a-half. That will make a lot of difference. We put it mid-house in the den. He says that when this extreme cold snap lets go of us, our system will be able to keep up again. When we leave on Thursday morning at oh-dark-thirty, we will need to unplug this space heater but through that day, at least, temps are expected to finally rise to mid-30s, which should be temps the regular system can fight against successfully.

dogs are bored - they go out for a minute and zoom right back - but they want to do it over and over again lol.
always hopeful dogs!

I had to hang a blanket in front of the laundry room door off of the kitchen - the cold from the outside and the garage kept seeping into the kitchen.

I put on a program on Alsace for her - she said she was tired and I figured the history of Alsace would be interesting.

On Tuesday, the day after we arrive back home, I have three appointments set up: body work, therapist, and workout. Might reschedule body work and give myelf a break. Wednesday has one Zoom appointment and Thursday only my workout.

The roomba is running but I forgot to change out the brush that is threadbare. Oh well.

The mail brought a cemetery check that's over 35K so I'll need to go to that bank tomorrow also. Also a check for my account for a refund but I can do that through the app. I will post more about my mail over in A & C.

I also did my Zepbound injection that I didn't get to on Sunday or yesterday. It's okay to do it late, will be late next week too because we're away on Sunday.

More ta das. Zepbound, mail, house prepped for roomba and running, and appointments rescheduled.

Saw tax documents in the mail today - first time.

I had a short nap after getting into bed to get snuggly warm and I also read for a while before I tried to sleep. I think once I get absolutely everything "organized" to my liking, my mind will quiet down and it will be easier to sleep when my mind doesn't have "decision fatigue". Everything I see should have a special place to live, my mind is questioning every single thing and where should this live. As I get more and more things dealt with, you would think it would get better.... but no. I just want to get it all done and away. To be fair, there are probably less than 10 things left to deal with. Also, to be fair, it was so easy to purge some stuff. As soon as I pick something up, there is the "does this make me happy/bring me joy?" Sound familiar? It's easy to blend organizing methods when it seems that I have done so many of them.

There are 3 seemingly random piles of paper work, all less than an inch thick. I just need to bring them into the office, because all of the paper in the house "should" live in here. The next time I go in there, I will do that.

Harriet, thank you for letting us know. So sorry - bw2 is right, when we had power outages putting a blanket up to close off part of the house worked well. I hate to ask but did you see my email about Dove?

Bw2, dog here has been in and out. She forgets how cold it is. She was sleeping on dh's pillow just now. BTW, you just reminded me that I need my mamogram still.

Lucylee, Just write down three things and go do them. Now!

Yes, Nancy, hoping you can get rid of that oversized TV. They are so big now. Glad you got journaling underway.

LadyM, splendid results on the A1C and you made a good call on changing dh's meds on the fly.

Cathy, I need to work on paperwork too. My desk downstairs - which is ornamental, not meant to be functional I'm afraid - is a mess!

Back from my DAR meeting and made a grocery run on the way home.

It’s cold here..62* and rainy. Last night I remembered to cover several of my outside plants. We haven’t put our heat on even though it only 67* in the house. I have an electric blanket that we use at night. I turn it up on high to get my side warm before I sleep and then turn it off. I also use a second blanket on top of it because I need the weight to sleep comfortably. Sweetie sleeps just with the blanket turned on 5. This is a new blanket is new and doesn’t get as hot as my other one.

Mobile got snow today… last time it snowed there my son was 12… he’s now 42!
