I have the meat sauce started for the spaghetti. I had already started cooking and dh asked for something medical to make him feel better. He has a fever. He says he feels chilled and just "not good". I gave him some Buckley's "daytime" capsules. I told him I could make him some chicken noodle soup, but he declined that and a hot tea. Chicken noodle soup is what I always want when I'm not feeling good. Right now he is wrapped up in a blanket watching curling. The last games of this tournament will be this weekend.
Currently I am enjoying a hot tea.

Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
Just read that the accident (that was caused by the weather as the plane was landing) yesterday is being listed as an accident caused by the reduction of air traffic controllers in Pennsylvania... um.... kind of hard to predict wind gusts in a totally different country. Of all the bizarre things I've read in the past 4 months, this has to be the strangest. (It wasn't a Canadian that wrote the article.)
I also heard that there was another plane crash in the US today, but now I can't find anything regarding that.
I think I need to ignore news channels altogether.

Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
ta da! Dog to vet. That is a big one. It's always stressful. She is wild there. Expensive trip, I told them I had completely lost track of her heartworm meds and the flea and tick dog collar that lasts 8 months last year. She got vaccinations - some good now for three years, heartworm meds, seresto collar and CDB dog chews. And a script for Zoloft for her restless barking and anxiety. We tried prozac last year but even on a low dose she had too many side effects. They were impressed by her strength, especially after 250 mg of trazodone today.
I'm exhausted and she's about to crash. Dh is bowling tonight.
Cathy, so sorry dh is sick. I haven't read the news today.
WTG on the new microwave, Nancy. It's great you got some steps in at the showroom today, warm and inside.
Lots of cooking LadyM. Are schools off again tomorrow? (Closed here, chance of icy mix/snow beginning early in a.m.
Missing Harriet today, and I'm not sure whether bw2 has checked in since this morning early.

Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
Good evening!
DH is at his HS hockey playoff game, which his team is winning handily. Meanwhile, I've got a (frozen) lasagna in the oven for us to have for dinner when he gets home.
CUOPed a bit. Glad to see Harriet doing well. lucylee, did I see that you had your pre-biopsy appointment? I had my pre-admission appointment, too, yesterday. Everything went well, and I feel reassured. Got a call today with a wallet biopsy, though -- apparently I will have to pay my deductible up front before they will take me into surgery. Cathy, my personal take on Family Day is that it exists to allow Canadian kids to play in U.S. President's Day tournaments.
Had girls' night on Saturday. One of the women came and wore a mask because her DH had Covid, though she had tested negative and had no symptoms. Well, she texted in the wee hours of Monday morning that she felt awful, tested again, and it was positive. I am hoping I don't get it. At the pre-admission appointment, they said if I get Covid, the surgery will have to be postponed 4 to 6 weeks, probably closer to 6, to give my lungs time to recover.
Indelicate subject ahead; you may wish to avert your eyes: My innards have staged a work slowdown, and if things don't improve by tomorrow morning, I will have to contact my primary care. The OTC laxatives say not to take if the problem has persisted more than two weeks or if your stomach is upset; I've got both. I don't need one more medical problem to deal with!
Hugs, LadyM, for having your hope dashed.
Re weather: We don't have much snow here, but temperatures are in the low teens F and are supposed to drop to single digits tonight. We are next supposed to get snow Thursday, when the temperature is supposed to rise to a balmy 21F. I don't know how much snow you got, Cathy, but DyoungestBIL, outside of Brantford, said over the weekend they had snow for 28 hours straight and had accumulated about a meter.
At any rate, we do not have it as bad as some (looking at you, LadyM).
Lasagna will be done in half an hour. I really need to drag my butt downstairs and put some wash in. I didn't do any over the long weekend, and I'm at risk of no longer being caught up. Oh! I think I hear DH's car! See you tomorrow, I hope!

Today was lots better than it might have been, although a rollercoaster. I will try to get it down in J and C. I'm okay.
Ddolder and her youngest boy visited after we were home.
Mystery, I hope you do not have Covid, and in fact that none of your group contracts it. She was wise to wear a mask, certainly.
Well, Twins', although I wish your dh could have handled it, you got a lot done at the vet and finished for a while.
Cathy, hoping dh starts to feel better.
LadyM, I am thinking of you two this evening. You are a good consider-er, a good thinker.
Nancy, good job on both battery and microwave, big things off your mind. And fun little things were part of your day, too.

Yes. We have receive automated phone call and text from school announcing another day out. I suspect we won't have school the rest of the week. We still have 80ish more hours of below freezing weather. Are schools off again tomorrow?
Keeping my eyes on Monday weather forecast = 73F and sunny.
tada! - both kids have cleaned their bedroom floor. I helped DD13 remove items she didn't want and sweeping.
tada! - French bread pizzas and pizza rolls were made. About 75% of the food I cooked earlier today has been eaten.
