Blessed, I am so glad your dh got good results! And glad you got your mom back to smiles!
Mystery, I'll be joining you in the waiting for results in about 14 hours... it would be nice if there was some way to speed this up, wouldn't it! And I imagine I will join you in the feeling like I've been scraped out... ugh... and having some bleeding. Ugh. I'm a little scared of anesthesia too -- I've only had it twice in my life -- C-section and colonoscopy. How long did your procedure take? I'm expecting maybe 30 minutes, so as my preacher said tonight, it won't be a deep, deep anesthesia. Of course, I told her, if I've got to go, I'd rather die in my sleep. She said that was very unlikely! Especially in shorter procedures like this. Mainly I'm just sooo relieved about getting to HAVE anesthesia. I don't think I could do it if it were done in the office, now that I have read up on it like I have.
Anyway -- I'll probably be very drowsy tomorrow too, at least I hope I am,

but I will try to check in and let y'all know how it goes.
Can you make taco soup without beans? Hmmm... probably wouldn't want to make it without beans OR meat. I'm thinking I want to make some taco soup, the kind that just uses ground beef and seven cans of vegetables? WIth all this meat in the freezer, I'm thinking that would be something easy to make and I could freeze it.
The weather here was absolutely perfect. Low 70s. Just beautiful. I wish it could be like this 365 days a year. Should be the same tomorrow.
I have to be at the hospital at 9:00 a.m., procedure to begin at 11:00, and hopefully, we will be out of there by 1:00 p.m. DDIL said DS could just call her if we were later and she needed to leave work early to pick up the kids.
Dmom, with the foot doctor... who knows? She needs the surgery, but she dreads it (and I dread it), mainly because of the 6-8 week period that she will be unable to drive, and the worry about her taking care of herself while having limited mobility. But doctor assured her that she would be able to walk around her house, with a boot that would keep her weight off her toes and on her heel. Of course, she has a wheelchair already and can use it if needed. And I may be able to get a caregiver to check on her a few days a week -- maybe home health will continue to send nurse? But doctor said she could not qualify for 21 day stay in rehab, etc, because this is not a surgery requiring overnight (or longer) stay. Sigh.
I don't mean to sound like I just want to push her off into assisted living, but as we have discussed repeatedly here -- hands on care-giving is NOT my gift. I get very squeamish at bodily fluids, etc. I also need my own space to some extent, and I am not prepared to just move in with her, or move her out her with me. But I am trying to take ds's approach and just wait to see what happens. She hasn't even agreed to the surgery yet. Maybe I can get my dbro and dsisil to come up and spend some time with her. (Just as likely, maybe Marcus Welby, MD will come to life and move in with her.)
Oh, (((Twins))) ... BIG HUGS... I hate that you had such an emotional therapy appointment.
Sometimes I think I need therapy, and sometimes I'm scared of it, just for such as this, and afraid it would make me more nervous, fear that I would be unable to trust the therapist and constantly be second-guessing whatever I said to them.
Glad you had a good day to spend in your "happy place," LadyM! That is amazing, that your temperatures changed so much! I'm sure ours are a pretty big shift, but not that much!
Well that is odd -- the door just came off, Nancy?
Of course, nothing would be unexpected around here. Carpenter says he is ready to come back and get back to work on roof and ceiling. I need to get him under the floor for the shower too, but I can live with that as is for a long while. No one is likely to see that shower anyway, and I don't need it.
I told DS to tell him to wait until at least Thursday.
Sending good wishes to HRH.

~~~ So... I can eat for 35 more minutes, then it's clear liquids till 7:00 a.m.
