My apple cart upset by phone call from Dr.'s nurse. Doctor is sick and, in her specialty, she is even more certain not to see her patients when sick, for their sake. Our appt tomorrow has been changed to a zoom virtual appt and no blood work done anywhere in prep for it. This is nervous-making in a way, because the only time I ever used virtual appt was when dd26 was living here (I was sick with shingles and needed visual diagnosis) and it was actually she who did everything about getting me "in" to the appt. Ddolder is supposed to be in a virtual meeting at her home during the exact time but she will talk to others and somehow, we hope, manage to come over here and give a little guidance. She's got two degrees in C. Science and C. Engineering, so - hey - you send 'em to school and you hope you can get some good out of it, right? When I attended the seminary courses I did similar things alone, but it was different.

HRH is relieved since he can't be completely sure that he himself is going to continue to improve, and this way no one actually has to make a long drive.

The nurse (a man) had no idea that I hadn't been contacted at all, so gave me a little info that sounds both reassuring in one way and bracing-for-the-tough-times in another. Sigh. Just keep swimming.

Rant, skippable :

HRH and I did go out with our main errand as pharmacy 1, where they did NOT have my script ready, against all previous information. We were at window, where HRH was sold 2 scripts I don't need until next month! Realized it too late. I had him park and I went in and really laid out how inconvenient and disappointing this was that their phone message and online info were not in line with what really happens when a person comes in to pick up. Also said I would not have paid for future meds if I had been properly informed at window - had no idea they were refilling those, wasn't in online info that they were at all. HRH said my little Minnie Mouse voice and "can't you see I'm sick?" demeanor really sent the message home, lol. But does that put the med in my hand? Nope. Maybe tonight they say. Well, I'm not going out in the night. Hruuummpppff.

So sorry that happened to you Harriet.
I had that or something similar happen to me I do not trust the on line order optin for Rx.

I went back to bed for a couple of hours am some better.
Did another lesson as I am not going out today my choice.
Except for a walk.
We had frost over nite so waiting until it warms up some more.
Sinuses have effected teeth improving but it is slow.

Had a bite of breakfast.

Went for a walk after some cottage cheese for lunch
hydrating now.
So glad for sunshine and temps warming up here.
I napped some.

Harriet - I am >>>insert emotional word<<<< with you. IMHO, being able to trust pharmacists is right up there with being able to trust our doctors. They are both of immeasurable value to our health.
I'm glad you have a trusted and knowledgeable family nearby to help with tomorrow's appointment. A possible benefit of doing appointment online is being able to record it and listen to doctors words again.

Homeschool is done and DS16 launched to work. DS16 finished one of his curriculum today. WhoooHooo!

I have been to the garden 4 times this morning. The weather isn't as pleasant as yesterday because of the 30mph wind. It just means I can't do some of the things I would do if the wind wasn't blowing so strong. Cleaning out the firepit and spreading the ashes is better accomplished with minimum wind. Ohs well.

Harriet, Zoom is easy. Go ahead and download it to your phone or computer or iPad and get it set up. You'll click on a link that they will send you, and you might need to click again to launch Zoom or go to the meeting. There's a place to test your audio - it will play tones for you to hear, then you record yourself (Hello Hello Hello is what I say) and it plays it back. May have to wait a minute for doc to enter the room or start the session, since he/she is the host.

Got interrupted a bit....

I didn't mention yesterday, but we had a trapper come out and lay traps for the raccoon(s) living in the eaves above DD's bedroom, something I've been putting off for a while. Well, we had a raccoon in one of the traps this morning, so the trapper came out and got it and reset the traps. He says that if we don't catch anything else in the next 24-48 hours, we should be good. DD went to bed early yesterday, so was not awake at the time she would normally hear it/them. I'm sorry I put this off for as long as I did. OTOH, I don't want to have a new one move in before our home repairs can be started this spring.

Had some success in finding crockpot recipes: one for a frittata and one for a vegetable stew with cheddar dumplings. The frittata one is more of a general guideline of how to make. The veggie stew is British and will have to be converted. Sadly, neither comes from a website that does a good job of formatting recipes for printing. Oh, well. I'll have to make enough changes to the stew recipe that it will be easier to read if I retype it anyway.

d harriet - I am glad you said something to the pharmacy. But again you don't have your meds in your hand. Hope that they fill them fast. praying that you sweet HRH feels better and improves.

the dogs were not chaotic - just doing their retriever thing - lol it helps me from having to pick up stuff lol.

I'm home and I'm fine -- feeling a little drunk, I guess -- I've never actually been drunk, LOL.
But the nurse told me she was putting in one med for something (in IV) and then she said "Now I'm putting in the sleepy med" and then ... ... I woke up in the recovery room. Anesthesia is my friend. EXCEPT -- the anesthesiologist did tell me about the breathing "apparatus" that might make my throat sore afterwards, and it really did. And my mouth was so dry I could barely talk. But ds stopped and got me some chicken salad for later, (at a favorite place)... fruit cup for now... Diet Coke, finally... and he filled up the car for me... and got my printer working again.
Dgrands have come by and given hugs.

I'm about to go wrap up in my favorite blanket and have a long winter's nap. (Even though it definitely feels like spring today.)

We are home from DH doc appt. DH has a new possible diagnosis - Transient epileptic amnesia (TEA). It fits his symptoms better than previous diagnosis (TGA and TIA).

We went through drive through and brought 2 bags of cheeseburgers home. How long will 10 cheeseburgers last? I suspect only a couple of hours. It depends on how many friends DS16 has here tonight and how hungry they are.

Oy vey. News from dd is that they're giving her a performance improvment plan and setting her up so they can fire her. She feels she gets blamed for things that aren't within her scope. So I'm texting with her now that the webinar is over.

I'm tired, I've been stuck in this chair today and now I'm texting. She is feeling low. I need supper but I don't know what I want.
