I haven't done much writing at all today. It's been a day. I thought I was giving myself enough time to get gas and pick up prescriptions ahead of my doctor's appointment this morning. Well, as I was waiting in line for the prescription, I entered in the destination, and it said I barely had enough time to make it. So I got out of line and headed out. It said the surface streets would be faster than the highway, so there I am driving when I get a text reminding me of my appointment -- and that I was headed to the wrong location! I was able to pull into a parking lot (yay, being on surface streets!) and call to let them know what had happened, then turn and head the other way -- on the highway. I actually was on the hospital grounds at the time my appointment was to start, and if I'd remembered that they had the valet at more than one building and used that, I would have been only a few minutes late. But the garage was closer to my destination than the only valet stand I remembered, so I parked in there. I ended up having to go all the way to the top (and being lucky to find a space there). Went to the elevator, and it was out of order! Another elevator was working, but it wasn't close to my destination at all. Parking and walking took me 15-20 minutes. I'm surprised I wasn't in tears by the time I got there. The appointment itself was quick (followup from my biopsy; all is well), but then I had to go back in the opposite direction to get my prescriptions. I thought about getting lunch at DQ as a treat, but I didn't want to get something without getting something for the kids, and I didn't have enough time to go there and get things and still be home before DD had to leave for work. Bleah!

I feel like I have lost my base camp on Mt. Dishmore despite doing a dinner last night that was easy on the dishes. Unless DH has some brilliant idea, I think dinner should be pizza on paper plates!

I'm going to collapse for a brief bit, I think. Although I hear DH's car, so maybe not. Alas.

Glad your DH is home, blessed.

(((Blessed)))) you have your hands full with DH and your DMom. Glad he is doing well enough to get out of the hospital.

Mystery! = What a tough trek to get such good news.
followup from my biopsy; all is well
Congratulations on this wonderful news!
I vote for paper plates and plastic utensils. I saw a utuber that had distinct colors assigned to each family member.
Each person had one plate, one bowl, one glass and eating utensils in their color. If their color of dishes were dirty, then that meant that person needed to wash dishes before they could eat again. That was her method of staying up with dishes. Whatever works is a success IMHO.

LucyLee - what did your DMom decided to do? Surgery?

Since I'm here, maybe I'll post!!

That's quite an adventure, Mystery. Glad you made your appointment sans tears. Yay that all is well!
'Thanks Lady M. I've messaged Harriet. It's a pretty focused and upbeat group at the other website. Glad you got to do some gardening.
Glad dh is home, blessed! Is your mom at your place too?
WTG getting everything done, RRose.
It's nice to read about someone's dog, Twins, even if it's a pain for you! We've been dogless for about 2 years now. I miss having a dog, but life is simpler and more convenient this way.

We've enjoyed sunshine today and temps that got up to the low 50s. I was planning to jog today but got home from payroll at 4 and then did some communication tasks + relaxed for 30 minutes. Now it's 5:30 pm. I might go for a short walk and then start dinner, simple tonight: pasta, homemade tomato sauce with mushrooms, and green salad. No evening activities unlike last night and tomorrow night.

Dmom is scheduling the surgery IF the anesthesiologist feels he can do it with a nerve block/local anesthesia. He said Dgd could change her mind on the day of as far as he was concerned. I think she still feels uneasy about this.
I’m m definitely uneasy but trying to learn from my own experience — keeping faith it will all work out.

Gotta get to church now, excuse the quick post and run!
Tomorrow is another day.

Oh my. I just watched The Boy in Striped Pajamas.
Do NOT watch this if you are not prepared to be very depressed. VERY depressed.
Tomorrow is another day.
