Morning…

Been to class, took care of sunnies, had breakfast. Morning routines done. Footprints were picked up last night.

Next up
* wash dirty baskets
* vacuum rest of the house
* finish putting out the rest of the dirt
* plant seeds in large pot in lania
* possible trip to HD for mulch

May start my laundry because I can. We shall see.

Nancy, cards are on my mind today, too.

lucylee, the folks who are dispersing the trees, or those who are picking them up but familiar with tree-planting in your area would be my choice for advice. You are south of me, and I think it would be okay to try it today, but hmmm... .. I may be influenced by the delay the trees went through just to get to your area. Don't know if that is significant to their vulnerability or makes no difference.

Best wishes to ((the blessedw2 family)) for procedure today.

Noticed that helia is sick today.

The trees are in the ground. DS dug the holes and I have watered slightly. The ground was very moist, so I think water will not be a problem. I can reach two of them with my water hose, but I will have to take a bucket of water to the other -- the dogwood.
Calling these "trees" seems a stretch to me. One of the red maples is basically a stick! The other had a pretty good root ball, and the dogwood has a good root ball. The people at the agriculture agency said it would be best to get them in the ground as soon as possible, they weren't worried about the temperatures or the wind the next couple days, so we followed their instructions. (Harriet, they said if I didn't get them in the ground today, they needed to be in water, but since they were confident it was fine to plant today, we followed their advice. DS, I'm sure, just wanted to get this chore done.)
They didn't have any of the small magnolias or flowering cherry trees, which dmom wanted, so I did not get her any. Tried to call her, but she never answered.

I'm going to go by Tractor Supply after dfriend and I have lunch, and get some sort of wire to go around them to protect them from the man who mows and help keep them sturdy till they get a little bigger.
I'm also going to ask them at Tr Supply about bird repellent advice! I don't think I can put an owl where they are building over my door, Twins, but can y'all believe this -- that bird is trying to build on top of the aluminum foil!!! It deterred him from the right side of the door yesterday, but today he (she?) has decided if the only way to be at my back door is to build on the foil, then build on the foil he must! :o

I have a load of laundry in, and another (towels and underwear) to fold...
need to do devotional reading...
lunch with dfriend...
Tr. Supply...
drug store...
post office...
pick up dgs after school. (Dgd has an eye appt in big city and ds is taking her. Tomorrow she has a rheumatologist appt in Big City, and both ds and ddil will go.)
Then church tonight.
I bet I don't get out of bed at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow!

Waving hello to everyone! Hope you feel better soon, helia!

Saw this on FBook yesterday and thought we could use a laugh...

"I joined a procrastination group last year, but we haven't had a meeting yet."

Floors have been mopped.
Bathroom mirror got cleaned. Wall near where the cats food and water is got cleaned. Lots of food specks.
Pot from the spaghetti is soaking because it will give me something to do this afternoon.

Those done with the exception of outdoor watering the pots. The wind is showing off with all the sounds that it can create. I am going to postpone doing the watering until later today after the winds calm down.
Postponing and procrastinating are not the same (in this case).

I got the dates wrong on DS51 and family spring break trip. Our spring break is this week....their spring break is next week. They will leave on Friday. DS51 sent me their detailed itinerary so I can follow along. I find this trip unusual in that this may be the first time that DS51 is in charge of the planning and execution of the trip. For the past 30ish years of travel he has always had someone else make the plane, hotel, rentals, tours, etc reservations. For some reason DS51 decided to do it himself this trip which I find almost more interesting than the trip itself.

DS16 has decided he is going to purchase a phone and get his own phone plan. He currently has a high-end phone, unlimited phone, text and data use for free (I pay). If he feels the desire to take this on himself, I am not going to prevent it. It isn't a step that I would take as a teenager, but what do I know? Sometimes a challenging experience and even failure is the best teacher of life skills. If he fails, he has a safety net waiting for him. He can always return to having free phone & service using his current phone on our plan.

Snake.

lucylee, can you use a fake snake? Most humans wouldn't catch on - flying birds would get the message loud and clear.

We are making variety Italian. I'm having ravioli, which HRH does not consume, lol. He dislikes what he considers spaghetti being made into other unknown and suspicious shapes.

I washed the pots!! I also watered all of the inside plants. Dh turned on the BBQ to see if it still works, and it does! We sat outside at the patio table for a while. If it wasn't so windy, we could have stayed longer.

Running through and waving. Was going to make a longer post, but I had a FB tab open and got sucked into that rabbit hole. (OK, maybe something of a mixed metaphor there.)

Thanks for my smile of the day, Harriet!
