Yay for some garden time, Trissie!
Helian, if they would just *repair* the streets s, I wouldn't mind the inconvenience. But they just dig them up, with road closures and endless traffic lights, so traffic reaches gridlock, then leave holes for ages, and "finish off" so badly that it often has to be redone.helia wrote: Fri Apr 04, 2025 9:38 am
There seem to be a lot of street repairs where you are, Kitty.
Gma, that all sounds very difficult with your DMum. Will she remember any of this in the morning? I hope you can get a well-earned nap. Those cookies sound delicious!
I'm glad the appointment was successful, L.Ann.
Well, the forecast today was right -it rained steadily for most of the morning, but then the rain stopped and the sun came out and we had lovely afternoon with sunshine and 21 C.

I remembered to leave extra early to go into town for my appointment, and it was just as well -I managed to find free parking on the outskirts, which meant a longer walk, but it was nice to be in the sun, and I was moving,.not stuck in traffic. And, sure enough, the roads I suspected would be badly affected where gridlocked.
Back home, I sat in my garden for a while, just enjoying the sun and the warmth, then fed my pots and did some dead heading. Everything has grown a lot with the warmer temperatures, the sun and yesterday 's rain!
I'm up to date with the laundry, and it's folded and PA. The cats have been fed, and DH is back from the beer festival. Apparently he had a good time, but he's not very coherent.
