This topic caused me to start reading Get Your Act Together again. My dd26 put it on Kindle for me = I seldom use that, but she just quickly did it for convenience as soon as she heard I had an interest. I think she said they charged a couple dollars.
It is a funny book but goes into very practical chapters, too. It makes me smile. I remember now that they almost exclusively recommended that if you are going to group tasks on one card, they liked grouping by room. I guess that is the most easily understood way.
Rotation is the word I would use to say the best quality of the cardfile. You will NOT be perfect and you will miss chores. But if you think of it as the rotation of the very forgiving cards, you can see what is next up and keep in step with your plan, even if you do something on Thursday that you intended on Tuesday. Only a few chores are day-dependent like trash day.
You are not behind, you are in your rotation.
