I’ve been busy… Tuesday I did my first workout at my new gym. It went well. Then I had my nasal scan. Yesterday we went with friends on a boat cruise that included lunch. We traveled there and back by bus and we had a great time.

It’s Thursday and that means laundry…plus I had an appointment with my new homeopathic dr that I recently met during her presentation here and really liked what she had to say. She’s running several lab tests for me and will talk after I get my results from my nasal scan

I don’t need to plan for Easter dinner as we are joining friends at the public country club for brunch on Sunday

Are you looking forward to cooking Easter dinner LM? Sometimes at a time like that it energizes me to get busy and do it!

Dh not home yet. No surprise.

Garage is much better. I left out some things for dh to either put away, give away, or throw away. I threw away enough without asking.

And I blew right through my workout, can't get rescheduled for tomorrow a.m. and I'm so sweaty now I don't want to go this afternoon. Dh and I are going out for our supper so I'll have to shower before. I need to advance the laundry, then either clean the upstairs bathroom or dust the screened porch. Neither of those two sounds like a great choice right now, lol.

Ah, there's dh now.

Today has been a "thumbs up" day - happy and productive. I managed to be OTD really early today, so I hoovered the car when I got to church (I have a cordless hoover) and dusted the inside) and then still had plenty of time before the service, so I walked to the High Street to run some errands, mostly new trainers and underwear for me. M&S has exact the trainers I was looking for - they fit nicely and give support. After church we had a nice time over coffee, and then I drove home, quickly got changed and spent the whole afternoon in my garden , making the most of a warm, sunny day. Freddie has been walked twice - by his request!

Waitrose have delivered, and the groceries are PA. I've had my supper (DH is out this evening), and also polished that little chair from my dolls house -I think it's going to need some more coats. Next, I need to feed the kitties, then maybe do a couple of admin tasks on my list.

I do enjoy cooking and am looking forward to preparing the Easter meal. My first instinct was to start inviting family and friends to join us. Then I realized that we have two sick people in our home so inviting others probably isn't the best idea right now. I am not sure DS16 will be here for the meal because a couple days ago I gave him permission to go with GF to her family gathering. I will still enjoy preparing Easter meal for us. IMHO, it is more about attitude toward celebrating the holiday than it is about the food.

TMI warning....DH feels okay but apparently, the swollen salivary gland on the side of his face is now draining underneath his chin. He claims to be imitating a turkey with his new wattle. He is treating it with humor because yesterday was the first day of turkey season. Today is day #3 of him being on antibodies.

Stone is nice, Twins, very plain and simple, but dh was very plain and simple. It’s a little smaller than his parents’ stone which sits beside it, but ds says that fine, everything doesn’t have to be exactly the same, and dinlaws had a lot more $ than I do!
It does seem so final… which seems weird to say because it’s BEEN final for a year… but in some ways it still doesn’t quite seem real.

I kinda wish I had gotten one a little larger and fancier… but ds said if the situation were reversed this is exactly what dh would have done for me. DS kinda wanted a picture on there — photo, not carved. We’ve seen too many carvings that looked like caricatures. Of course some are really beautiful, but we didn’t want to risk it.
And symbolic engravings? What would we do — AU stadium?
I guess it’s fine and dh would be pleased. We never talked about it much, except I know he wished his parents included their wedding date, and I wanted to include that anyway.

Going to ballgame with ds and dgs tonight.

LucyLee I think it's a very nice (and fancy) headstone! I have seen many that are completely plain. Names and dates and no flowers and no wedding date at all, without any borders around the 2 names or anything. I think you did an awesome job. You've done an awesome job over the past year as well.

mom is in a lot of pain but knew who I was but she had a moment where tied with pain, she was insisting that she could get up and that she was at home - I didn't correct her at all but poor thing was so frustrated and upset. There was nothing I could say to help her feel better. She did fall asleep a bit and her brain cleared itself again.

it's so sad to see her in so much pain - but it is better than yesterday - she didn't now anything and said one word a time. They think that with all her languages that she can't seem to get the word she wants - she didn't remember. Today was better and she was able to talk in English.
