Morning kittykat. And lann. Dh didn't realize you might want the car? Hopefully he turns up soon.

Lann do you have an appointment today? Hope it goes well.

I don't know what happened. I wanted to sleep in a bit. Lol. Woke up 3 times and the last was just after 430. I gave up. Not sure why.

Kittykat you remind me. I should see if I can find a recipe for hot cross buns. The kids.. and especially my mom would love that. I can make them later with dd.

So glad you can go easily from home to your mom now Helian. How great she's moved.

Helian I am hoping once I get both kid couples here i can get help coordinating an Easter meal. I think my sister and her guy are just wanting to go off exploring somewhere. They will show up sometime. Dad is pretty adamant we will follow tradition and do something and has chosen what he will make and it can go along with whatever else. I am at your place. Someone else decide....

Dd will help. If it didn't have to include mom and dad sometime the whole weekend of just being together will be perfect. I am just thrilled dd and dsil will meet their little nephew before he's big. He'd be a lot different if it were Christmas time.

They might be soon on their way? If they didn't sleep in a bit. In my calculations unless they stop in the city longer they could be here by the time I get lunch done after church. I should actually make soup broth with the chicken in the fridge. If I don't use it now I should throw it out. That would make lunch for when they arrive. I have bread in the freezer.

Gotta get things done this morning. As per usual I didn't get round to everything and the essentials will be last minute. I do have several hours now. Leave just before 10 for church.

Everything is close in here and it's just the kids coming but still... I would like it to look a bit better in here than it does. Maybe quck room by room tidy.

Priority list

Get the bedroom ready
Clean main bathroom
Clean kitchen
Tidy living room and dining room
Vacuum
Make soup broth
Church for good friday service
Enjoy the kids when they get here

Today's tada list

Finish qt(this is being challenging lately)
Shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some

Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Declutter island all the way

helian, expecting you to hostess big meal for that many after just getting your mother there is expecting a lot. I hope everyone is pitching in to help. Your DD should be going to see her grandma, too. Does your mom know it's Easter? How alert is or isn't she?

Kittykatt, I'm amazed at a cat with a harness, going for a walk, tho we had one who followed from a distance when I walked the dog.
L.ann, have a good day

I've got to get up, tho I'd like to stay in bed. Dbro is joining me at cabin today to see what needs to be done before Mom's birthday. I normally do all the Holy week services at our church, but this year I just can't fit it in..

Good morning!
I have to take dh to drop off his truck at the mechanic and pu grocery order, come back home to put it all away, and go back out to pu cake order. Hope to hit some antique stores in the town where the bakery is. Have a good day.

I'm at payroll, did all the grading. I'll go to class in about 10 minutes. They will be a little late because they are eating pizza right now.
Gma, I was encouraged when I visited Mom this morning. She ate a little breakfast, and they said she drank a lot. She was being fed yogurt as a snack when I left and she was very enthusiastic about it! She even opened her eyes. She is not aware that it is Easter. I hope the girls will stop by this weekend.

It is such a nicer facility! 3 snacks a day as well as 3 meals. Everyone is very kind and attentive. There was music playing in the background and it's a much homier cozier atmosphere.

Yes, everyone is pitching in with the meal. I may/may not contribute; I will decide that. It will not be a traditional meal, and that is OK! I couldn't care less at this point.

I'll BBL.

Hugs, helia! Sounds like your mom is settling in nicely. A good routine and your daily (when you can) visits will help tremendously. Love hearing the good news!
We finished the have to chores and are heading out to see about buying some satsuma trees and pu cakes for tomorrow (our Easter with dd).

Hello, everyone!

Soup sounds perfect for lunch, especially when you're not sure when everyone will arrive, Laura!

Have fun with the antiques, Bama!

Gma, below is a link showing Freddie walking on his harness - I record him every so often to show the the vet (Freddie refuses to walk while at the vets practice), so we can see how the Solensia is helping his hip pain and his gait is improving. He has hip displasia in his right hip, so his gait has always been very uneven, but it's getting better. :D

Freddie walking with his harness

Helian, that's such good news about your DMum, and the NHS sounds lovely! You e had a very busy and stressful week, so I'm not surprised you're tired, but there are lots of other people around who can take care of your Easter meal - you deserve some time off.

I didn't get to church today, DH was very late back with the car, and it was really raining too hard to walk all the way to the parish church, which had been my alternative. DH had also bought himself lunch from a meal deal, bit didn't think to get anything for me. Fortunately we have plenty of fresh bread, cheese and fruit. He did, however, bring home some hot cross buns, so we've had those with our tea this afternoon. :D

I've folded laundry and PA, done a little more to that little chair, quickly dusted the bedrooms, and spent some more time working on the photos. Next, I need to do our supper (fish, as it's Good Friday) and also kitties' supper

Fred walks very well on a leash, I have to say, Kitty. We got hot cross buns for Easter when we lived in Australia. When we came back to the States, we found a bakery and that became an Easter tradition for a while.
Like satsuma oranges, Bama? I love those!
Dd and dsil are coming for Easter, Lauralind?

I am so so tired. I think my body is finally relaxing, and I feel I could just lie down and sleep for a whole day.

I stopped by Mom's place after work, and she was sleeping soundly. I just sat by her for a while. I did drop off the painting by her mother.

Our plan is to heat up frozen leftovers @ 6 pm when dh gets home. We will leave for the Good Friday service at 6:30 pm.

Next:
- start the rice cooker
- rest for a bit?
- heat up the chicken and some veggies

Later:
- make bed
- gather everything and otd @ 10
- payroll: end of session tasks
- can I go for a walk? (Probably no time to jog)
- early dinner with dh @ 5/ 5:30?
- 6:30 leave for church - M is joining us
- 7 - ? church service
- duo
- update health apps
- anything else?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- coffee and tea
- email deletions + weather website -
- some qt
- messages with AC, my supervisor
- tried to wire bank thru account I share with Mom; couldn't do online
- called the bank - they can't do it unless I'm in person
- tried my own bank, figuring I could get reimbursed; the process would take too long. I just waited too long, and I don't have time to spend on it
- emailed transport company and told them to just charge my CC; it will cost more, but it is what it is. :?
- made a lunch
- reclaimed kitchen
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- gathered everything and otd ~ 10:20
- visited Mom
- labelled Ensures
- filled out Mom's paperwork
- payroll: graded exams
- payroll: graded HW
- payroll: updated gradelink
- ate lunch while working
- payroll: sat around and chatted with AAS D14 students
- stopped by Mom's place again
- got out chicken with olives for dinner
