Thanks friends. I feel better about Mom; the sleepiness is the same as when she was in Illinois. Dh told me last night that it's all still new and we're all in transition, to give things some time. I emailed the Dr. and she's checking to make sure the eye drops are being given. She said she's on the look out for the UTI test result.

I'm moving really slowly, having a hard time getting going. I have my meeting with my counselor in 1.5 hours, so I need to move!!

I’m just getting started and Trissie is off work already. Enjoy your time off next week and do something exciting for me.

Kittykatt, enjoy your gardening. We tried some packets of liquid once but none of the cats would touch it. It’s like the labs that create this stuff don’t make it appealing to the recipients, perhaps they don’t have finicky pets.

Gma, wonderful relief about dpup. One less thing to worry over.

Helia, your dmom is adapting to changes, thank you for keeping up with her care and keeping the doctor up to date with details so they can act on her (and your) behalf. Just from my experience with a facility, it was understaffed and the ones working didn’t really want to do anything so family oversight was absolutely needed. If a uti is suspected I’d keep up with bathing time, she might need more frequently than scheduled.

Dh is home today so we are running errands. I’m supposed to be in the shower while he gets breakfast, he wants a big breakfast and I’m usually good with coffee and a banana or toast so he set out to get his own. Cooking would be too hard lol. Guess I’d better get moving. Basics are it for me today.

Bama, I am off paid work - the unpaid will there for hours to come! The most exciting thing about the upcoming weekend is the fact that DS has a beekeeping contest on Sunday and he needs to be at the meeting point in the city at 6:00 am! It's like 45 minutes away, so we'll be getting up at 4:30. Now to some of you that may not be a problem, but I survive on my weekend sleep-ins!

I was brave and I tackled the taxes. 15 minutes in, the tax-relevant documentation for the rental is all downloaded to file, and I rewarded myself with three eggnogg filled chocolate pralines, because I really, really don't want to work on my taxes!

I did make a good progress on them. It's due on April 30 and I gotta say it probably was stressing me out, though from experience I know it's about an hour pr two of work if I have the information on hand, which, given I get everything by email, is much easier these days then it used to be!
