BTW, I have not trouble getting on this site with Chromebook, but I cannot get it on my phone. Always get the error message.
Also, I completely shutdown Chromebook, let it do an update, and all appears to be well. No more shutting down mid-post.

Re: Managing Monday PWYC
Home from the city. DD13 appt with counselor went well. We now have two possible places to get DD13 tested for autism. However, we need medical doctor referral so that will be the next step.
My suburban had problems today while going to the groomer. From symptoms, we have diagnosed the thermostat and sensor have failed. This might be the straw the breaks my reluctance to get a different vehicle.
I drove DS16 vehicle to the city this evening. Everyone should experience driving a teenager heavily modified vehicle at least once.
I survived it.
I am going to need to make a decision soon about future vehicle.

Good luck with vehicle search!
Y'all - I have a problem. I cannot find my ancient poetry writings... I mean, the poetry I wrote in high school and a few some time later... and I have NO IDEA where it IS!!!
It probably all needs to be shredded before my death... some might be embarrassing for ds/ddil to read... (Likewise my journals, which I do know the location) but right now I don't want to shred, I just want to read and remember... Some about dh, of course... some about OG... some about a couple other insignificant boys (but they weren't insignificant at the time, I guess, if I wrote about them...) SIGH.
BUT WHERE IS IT??? I cannot imagine where else I might have put it.
I guess now I have a real reason to get serious about decluttering.
I have some nice news for the evening.
DGS got to pitch tonight, most likely the last game he will ever play in organized baseball. To be honest, he's no Mickey Mantle or anything -- in 7 games, he has only made actual contact with the ball 2 or 3 times -- but he's a pretty good outfielder and a good teammate. His coach acts like he's crazy about him, and he would not have played this year if this guy hadn't been coaching. DGS does not plan to even try out for the middle school team -- there's a lot of politics involved, from what we hear, plus there are a lot of really good athletes his age who aren't even playing in our rec league because they are on the travel teams. DGS seemed to really enjoy football and plans to continue playing that. (Remember, in football, there are rarely ever any cuts; if you're willing to practice, you get a uniform. They need all the bodies they can get.)
ANYWAY -- dgs' team is undefeated, and tonight we were playing the team we have beaten 21-1 and 11-0 in our last two games. In the last inning of the third game against this same team, the coach decided to just let the guys have fun -- he switched up all the positions, let two of the players be the base coaches, and put dgs on the mound. I said, "OMG..." which sorta aggravated ds and ddil, but I just always feel there is too much pressure on young pitchers... everybody is watching them, you know? Of course, we were winning 10-2 at the time, so there really wasn't any pressure, but I couldn't help but worry that he'd start walking too many and be embarrassed. (The coach told us later that he was only going to allow him two walks and then let someone else pitch who hadn't had much infield time either.)
DGS faced 4 batters, I think. He struck out one, walked one, picked on off at third, and had an assist getting the third out. No one scored on him. The team CARRIED HIM OFF ON THEIR SHOULDERS and the coach gave him the game ball. It was really a nice way to end the season.
It is really amazing how other people react to dgs -- I mean, he does have some really strong autistic traits, and it would be easy for kids to think he was kinda unusual and not relate to him well. He is truly a lot like Young Sheldon. But it seems like everyone just gravitates toward him and likes him. The kids were cheering for him in the dugout and just seemed so happy for him. (He had struck out all three times he batted tonight, btw.)
I think he has only had a couple of "playdates" in his life, and when he's invited a bunch of people to a birthday party, he hasn't had a huge crowd -- but I think that is becoming a more common practice, sadly. People just don't rsvp and aren't as considerate as they used to be. Anyway, he may not be able to tell you who he would consider his "best friend;" he would say he likes everybody. But he certainly seems happy and it seems like everybody likes him. I'm just really so thankful. When he started out in t-ball, we didn't know how he would ever take part in a team or anything, but he has far, far exceeded our hopes for him.
And I let this sit for a long while, reading old papers from college and stories I wrote in 8th grade, and putting sheets on the bed and then looking somewhere else, and I STILL CANNOT FIND THOSE FOLDERS WITH POEMS. WHERE WHERE WHERE CAN THEY BE???
Tomorrow is another day.
