I'm sure you'll do just fine, kittykatt!
helian, most of my kids actually love broccoli, as long as it's crispy. Or broccoli fritters, they can do those too!
laurlind, has DS been tested as autistic, or as having autism and ADD? my DS is most likely au-DHD, i.e. autism plus ADHD. But we haven't had formal testing yet, it's hard to get that done here (too few places and too long waiting lists)

Home from work. We had a very intense weekend at the cottage - due to T's broken leg, we haven't been there since New Year's, so I had to spring clean the inside of the cottage and mow the grass (can't really call it lawn there) while DH was busy chopping wood (from the large tree that fell in December 2023) and doing other after-winter tasks. So we got home pretty exhausted, and then at 7pm, DS realized he had a huge German homework. That he has known about since April 23 and promptly forgot  And since I am the resident German expert (thank you, Duolingo, for making me comfortable teaching a 7th grader), guess who had to help?
I really need an early night today! But I will have to earn it :-)

TaDas
- morning madness
- delay start a load of lights
- day at work
- pick up DBD

ToDos
- morning routine
- clean DBD's room
- fold laundry from dryer
---
- midday routine
- clean DS13's room
- clean twins' room

Trissie I am still waiting for the report. The lady talked like yes he is asd. Her words... am I surprised? How do I feel. No I kinda knew it all along. Adhd just didn't feel like it fit the whole picture. Honestly I waited 3 years. Sent in request with the pediatrician in grade 6 year. I honestly was more shocked and almost forgot that the test would come through. I don't know what it's like there but that was rather forever wait list.

Maybe I should text the teacher and let her know that much. I have a church friend that is a teacher and masters in special ed. She's officially retired but I think she still subs sometimes. I learned a few things from her I didn't know yesterday. In that ds should be practically able to not count missed days from sleep shortage and they are supposed to provide make up work. Hmmm. There's funding the school can have for extra assistance. I don't actually know that he needs it but maybe they can help more. He's doing well now except this spring he's been sleeping really poorly. Ds himself says most of his problem is he can't sleep well. An exhausted 15 yr old is something else. 😴

laurlind, there's a huge diagnostic overlap betwen ASD and AD(H)D - basically about 70% people who have ASD have also prominent AD(H)D treats. Till a couple years ago, it was an either or diagnosis, but that's changed. I've also known about DS from very early age, but was always told that it was "only" ADHD. But he's classical in that the autistic characteristic did not become prominent till middle school (because he was already getting some special treatment for his diagnoses ADHD). With special needs kid, you have to become a special needs specialist

TaDas
- morning routine
- clean DBD's room
- fold laundry from dryer
- midday routine
- clean DS13's room
- clean twins' room

ToDos
- afternoon routine
- start bologna sauce
- 15 in garden

Good morning, sweet friends! ☀️😊
I hope everyone had a good Sunday. Love the “zoo” ideas, I’m always getting new recipes on my social media feeds and I’m here for it, I could never get in the habit of the same meals weekly even though I tried trends when the girls were young (ex meatless Monday, taco Tuesday…). Now I wing it a lot. We had Panda Express yesterday, I got the greens and beef and broccoli, the spears were HUGE so I’ve had more than my share of broccoli for awhile.
My TikTok feed has become full of caregivers to parents, sorry but I’m done with that phase for now, I’ll deal with dh when the time comes, I’m older and wiser relatively speaking, but need to change that algorithm. It was heartwarming to see grown kids tending their parents so I did watch a few, which is why my feed is all messed up now. My kids have already told me no lol. I wouldn’t put that on them anyway, if I can choose, and do have some protections in place. Watching comedians to lighten the mood some. I heard the name Ledbetter on some tv show so dh and I were watching old Jerry Clower skits.
So far today I’ve had Bible time, spot cleaned floors, fed inside animals and Lola, outside cat, a lego poinsettia fell out of the cabinet and I put it (mostly) back together, can’t figure out how one leaf was stuck on so it’s nestled in the pot for now, emails done, dusted, I’m d2s, and dh messaged that he booked us a hotel room one night in June. Dd2 will be home for a week so we can have a quick getaway and she can pet sit. I have trouble finding a kennel for the dogs so hate to leave them. We were using our veterinarians office but the dogs seemed so rattled when we would pick them up. After two stays we have nixed that option and found a new vet. Unfortunately she doesn’t board.
Ok, break time is over. Next for me is vacuum.

Bama, I love trying new recipes, but kids love their favourites! We do have a wide selection of the meals I make, though.

DH's taken the cat for a check at the vet, but he should be home any minute now. Time to get dinner going! (though that's now only make spaghetti and a salad!)

TaDas
- afternoon routine
- start bologna sauce
- 15 in garden - watering, mainly

ToDos
- finish dinner
- fold load of lights from dryer
- bake something sweet for tomorrow's snacks

Trissie, spaghetti sounds good. It’s a favorite of mine so I serve it regularly. Do you make your own sauce? I confess I’m a jar girl.

LAnn, you can come sit by me.

Dh scared the carp out of me, I forgot he had a doctor appt so took off work early. Sometimes he goes straight to the office after work but today I guess he thought he’d surprise me. And he did. :P He fed Tom turkey and is getting ready to leave.

To Do:
Flip laundry
Toss old vitamins
Fold and put away clean furniture covers

Tadas:
Mail
Water inside plants
Whiten teeth
Kitchen - load and run dw, wash snack jar and refill, toss sweets, wash and refill water bowl, shine sink
Cut bangs
Laundry - washing my clothes
Litter - all boxes scooped and scented baking soda added
Tossed pair of stretched out socks
Vacuum
Spot clean floors
Feed pets (all but turkey Tom, J fed)
Put Lego back together
Emails
Dust
Book hotel (dh)
Bible

L.Ann, there's days like that sometimes!
Bama, I do keep a jar or two on hand for emergencies, but kids are not fond of them. Spoilt them by the homemade version! :-) I do make bologna in large batches and freeze portions, so that's my general go-to on busy nights.

I'm crashing. Still there's stuff to do, but I think the best I can do is another 15!

TaDas
- finish dinner
- fold load of lights from dryer
- dinner dishes washed

ToDos
- 15 on final pick up
- hygiene
- maybe some reading?
