I'm like Bama - sure I'd never heard of that band but actually knowing that song so well, I could sing along! Yes, thanks for that blast from the past, trissie! And I hope your day is off to a good start.
Can't believe the little guy is almost 3 months old, Lauralind! F is now 14 weeks along.
Oh nice Bama that you've got several turkeys now!
WTG tackling the groundcover, Kitty. Like you, I am unprepared for the week. I'm starting it still far behind on payroll.

Happy Victoria Day!

My whine: my weekend was much more scheduled than I'd anticipated. I was out of the house for 8 hours on Saturday with visiting Mom, watching Fable, and meetings. It didn't help that CG1 took 3 hours - even after arriving 1.5 hours late. And yesterday, I was also scheduled for 6 hours; church in other town + a quick trip to WF took 3 hours, and then 6:30 - 9:45 pm, I met S, J11yo, and my girls at a bubble tea place, gassed my car, and then went home to hop on a zoom call with the kids. (We met without dh since he's in Europe right now; he said it was OK.) I never finished the LBBR Exam; thankfully DE, the teacher, is on the leadership team and is super chill. I did message with her about it. And I never got in my 5K jog. --NOW, I need a huge chunk of cheese to go with my whine -- but I did end the day yesterday with cheese and crackers.

Today: NOW I need to catch up on all the things I didn't do yesterday: finish LBBR Exam, review my own final exam, make a practice exam for my own class, update gradelink, go for a jog, visit Mom - maybe. One extra today, an instructor meeting 1 - 1:40. I need to park in the campus garage, so I need to leave early, around 12:30. That shortens my morning.

Main Goals for Today: (mainly payroll)
1. Finish LBBR Exam and send it off for review.
2. Review my final exam

Morning all. I think I will keep this shorter today I just wrote my novel of weekend frustration and renovation commiserating in pwyc. Challenges with ds and mom both. Plus happy times with lil grandson. My adorable boy.

That sounds like a big project in the garden kittykat.

Loving your pet stories Bama. New birds. How fun.

That sounds like a very scheduled and people weekend helian. Even while dh is away. How was the wedding in NL.

Well as I thought it's looking drizzling wet out. Quite a bit of rain over the weekend like may long usually is. I think it's inside day. I have ds and dh both home and can help move stuff. Lots of details. Declutter. I could do a cleansweep from the other thread. We'll see how energetic we get.

Priority list

Basic routines
Finish kitchen and some details
Freshen up curtains I washed one
Take chair covers off to wash
Shampoo rug
Put up poster in ds room
Put up curtain rod and move curtains in
Probably should check on mom and dad ?

Today's tada list

Finish qt
Shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some

Stuff dw and turn on
Finish tidying kitchen all the way

Happy Monday!

I am with the crowd of "who the h*** is this supposedly well known band? Oh... it's them!" :-) And yes, I too can sing along our house in the middle of our street :-)

- sort and delay load of colors
- unload DW
- everybody off the door in timely manner
- moderately successful day at work

- pick up DBD from school

ToDos

- clean twins' room
- clean DS13's room
---

Hi, kittykatt. Your Sunday sounded nice. I see your lists and you look very well prepared from here. Is there something in particular that is making you feel unprepared?
That does sound like perfect weather for being outside. The last I checked here it was 6 C and thinking about raining, so normal short walk for Germane today.

Thanks, Bama. I had to look up what a frizzled rooster is, and they are very fancy! Do they get attacked by other birds because their feathers are always fluffed out like they are in an aggressive stance? It made me think of how chows are more likely to be attacked by other dogs because of their straight back legs that make them look as though they are stiffened up for attack.

That was a busy weekend, helia. Do you have some rest time set aside during the week?

Hi, L.Ann. Enjoy your time with Little Bit.

Hi, laurlind. I wondered if your store had a garden centre, and if you'd be stuck working today. I'm glad to see that you have it off.

Welcome back, trissie.

Monday
Put away dry dishes
Cleaned up after dog X 2
Rotated plants
Deadheaded pansies
Started Procrastaccomplisments list
Changed toilet roll
Started new laundry bag
Tidied wire shelf in entrance
Cleared out the paper piles from entrance

Short Term
Laundry
Groceries
Run the dw
Phone visit with db
Dog medicated wash
Wash hair
Bring recycling to basement
Play with new window washing gadget.
Access government web site
Look into deals of applying for pension
Apply for pension

Goals

Spend some time crocheting

Welcome in, late risers! I beat you here!
Just kidding, I’m usually last to post so had to say it. ;)

Doggedly, Frizzy (I’m very good at picking names haha, the brown hen is Brownie, the black hen is Blackie) is still settling in, protective of his ladies until push comes to shove and then he rushes off, leaving them behind. His nature seems the same as other roosters I’ve had, so far he and Mr Turkey are circling each other, keeping their distance, the woman who raised him has a variety of birds (and other animals) and they all seem to get along. She does have a big yard for them to get away from each other which makes a big difference. She’s raising pigeons now, so cool to look at and listen to, they’re a rich brown color with fanned out tails. 😍 I love the fluffy tails on a chow. They led me to get several Keeshond over the years. Enjoy your walk with G.

ETA: he’s blue, maybe I should call him Bluey! I love that cartoon.

lol trissie, I remember thinking that song was so silly, who puts their house in the middle of the street?!

Laura, hugs and encouragement for overcoming challenges. They can hinder our progress.

Good morning LAnn, busy as ever.

Hugs, helia, as you maneuver that schedule of yours. Speaking of cheese, I saw someone eating a pimento cheese, which I’ve never cared for, of course I only ate it once as a child before I made up my mind to not like it, so I ordered from the grocery store and might eat it for lunch today. Thanks for the reminder. Maybe I’ll have a “whine” with it as I could use a little venting. I already vented to dh but he’s no good. He just says let it go. He’s got it so easy, nothing bothers him. :P

Lauralind, there wasn't a wedding in the NL. It was an annual sibling reunion! My friend KY's dd 30 got married on Saturday in Texas. I tried to watch the livestream but it didn't work for me, unfortunately.

Ideally, I'd be leaving in 12 minutes. But that is not going to happen. I'm finishing some lunch. I'm going to update gradelink while eating, and then, I'll at least change my clothes and spiff my face. Then, I'll gather things and head out the door. No shower for me this morning - not enough time.

Almost forgot, I need to email the single exit test result out today.

Main Goals for Today: (mainly payroll)
1. Finish LBBR Exam and send it off for review.
2. Review my final exam
3. Make practice exam for my class.

4. Update gradelink
5. Prep and teach AAS D12
6. Instructor meeting
7. Maybe - stop by and see Mom
8. Call re: transportation for Mom
9. Email exit test result
10. Update timesheet for non-salaried tasks. And parking.

Next:
- finish lunch
- update gradelink
- spiff myself

Later:
- payroll: update gradelink2
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- some qt
- make the bed
- tidy the kitchen
- gather everything and otd @ 12:30
- 1 -1:40 payroll: instructor meeting
- 1:40 - 3:30 payroll: teach AAS D12
- payroll: email out exit test result
- stop by and see Mom
- make phone call re: transportation to appointment next week
- say "hi" to dh who will be home today
- can I get in a short jog/ walk?
- dinner: rot. chicken and peanut sauce, roasted squash
- after dinner clean up

LOL, Bama, that would be indeed a bit impractical both for the people living there (like, you'd be stepping in the traffic whenever you go out) and the people driving down that street!
You are off work today, Dogged?
helia, mailing those test results should be a priority! Those poor students are biting their nails out there! :-)

TaDas
- morning routine
- clean twins' room
- clean DS13's room
- midday routine
- clean DBD's room
- fold laundry from dryer
- chased DS to get started on his homework
- had a TALK with T. who once again "borrowed" some of my things that she's specifically prohibited to touch
- flipped colors to dryer

ToDos
- afternoon routine
- start dinner
- deliver yesterday's laundry

Oh that makes more sense helian. Too bad the livestream didn't work.

Ny dh does that too Bama. Except he is good at helping me see a better perspective sometimes.

There's my boy. 10 am and he emerged from sleep. Maybe the sleep in will help.

I got that far. And no further. Now he's up and I should make some food of some sort. Then maybe I can get motivated.

Priority list

Basic routines
Finish kitchen and some details
Freshen up curtains I washed one
Take chair covers off to wash
Shampoo rug
Put up poster in ds room
Put up curtain rod and move curtains in
Probably should check on mom and dad ?

Send garbage out from everywhere
Sweep everywhere

Finish qt
Shower
