lucylee, I am the Central European Time Zone (CET), which is ECT minus 6 hours. Generally, I get the post up between 6am and 6:30, because the kids need to leave house around 7am (and so do I on the days I work from the office) so 6:25 a.m. is generally my last quiet time till the evening

We're weather twins today,
kittykatt, it's raining here too!
now I wonder,
gma, what makes that chocolate cake special?
who is getting a plant for their birthday,
L.Ann?
are you teaching over summer,
helia?
Yay for getting the paperwork filed,
Dogged!
oooh, planting time for
L.Ann! My veggie garden officially sucks. When the garden architect planned it, he didn't anticipate the neighbours having 10ft high Northern white cedar fence 5 feet away from the veggie patch, so it gets very little sunshine. And the dirt is too heavy for root vegetables, I can grow barbie-sized carrots and that's it!
I am exhausted! We didn't get to bed till after 1am and the taxi driver woke us at 3:22 calling to ask if the 4am pick up was still in place. That cost me 8 precious minutes of sleep, plus the phone ringing scared me and I wasn't able to fall back asleep after DH left. He's on his last leg of the trip now, and he should be landing around 10pm our time - I don't think I'll make it till then! But I made it through the work day (the weather was not helping, atmospheric pressure dropping drops me too) and the drive home, and since DS13's scout session got cancelled, that means no more driving for me today! I really worry about microsleeps - lost a friend, a young father by then, who fell asleep behind the wheel on Friday night after a very exhausting week at work.
Anyway, I may take a 15 minute nap to restart, and then get going again. Routines, dinner, homework and clean kitchen will count as success today, anything else is a bonus!

)
- ordered new tires for DH's car, as one of his blew last night (just the kind of drama I need right now!)
- pick up DBD at school
